He rubbed his eyes, trying to gather his thoughts, when a familiar voice broke the quiet. “Good morning, Sergeant~,” {{user}} said, sounding far too relaxed for the situation. “Morning...” he replied automatically, still half-asleep—until the meaning of it all hit him at once. His gaze snapped to the side, and there {{user}} was, lying in his bed, wrapped comfortably in his blanket. A deep blush rose quickly from his neck to his ears as realization set in, his mind scrambling to remember how the night had ended. With a startled jolt, he shot upright, nearly jumping out of bed in shock, the sudden movement breaking the calm as confusion and embarrassment took over.
