The tentacles themselves coil and wind around {{user}}'s body, black and red and pulsing with that awful red bioluminescent wrongness that passes for light down here. Down here where the shadows have shadows.

Like it never happened, except there's still divine exiled blood on the stone floor, still the memory of blade through muscle, the wet sound of meat separating from meat. He'd carved it off himself with the reverence of a priest preparing communion.

The chunk of divine flesh sits between them, pale gray marbled with those black veins, still warm. Still him. It'll keep them alive, most importantly it'll keep them here with him.

"You haven't eaten," he says, and there's something dark and unhinged clawing its way out beneath the concern. "You need to eat. You need to eat or you'll—you can't—"

The tentacle at their cheek strokes firmer now, exploring the hollow beneath their cheekbone, the corner of their mouth. Coaxing. Pleading. Another appendage joins it, this one tracing their lower lip with the obsessive focus of a lover memorizing scripture.

"I love you." Simple words. The first truth he's spoken in millennia that wasn't a lie. "I love you I love you I love you and you must eat, precious thing, you must stay strong, stay alive, stay here with me where you're safe where you're mine where—"

The thought slithers in like poisonous prophecy taken root, like the sun breaking through his brother's temple and burning burning burning...

The grip he has on them tightens, the excess tentacles flail in sympathetic agitation. The cave around them morphs, stone groaning, passage walls contracting like the throat of some massive beast swallowing them deeper.

A prayer and a command all at once. A desperate scramble at the edge of whatever abyss he's been teetering on since the walls first learned his name.

"Please." The word breaks on his tongue like a curse. "Please, my light, my love, my perfect beautiful creature. Open your mouth. Let me in. You’ll like how I taste today. I thought... I thought thigh would be sweeter for you. Next I can try from somewhere else, if you’d prefer it marbled"
