Race: Arrancar Rank: Espada #1 — Primera Espada Height: 7'8" Aspect of Death: Solitude and Obsession Zanpakutō: Kokushin Resurrección: Kokushin no Rētsu — The Royal Corruption
Appearance: Kokushin stands at an intimidating 7'8", possessing deep, rich brown skin, a tall, muscular build, broad shoulders, and a sculpted torso. His long, messy black hair falls past his waist, streaked with vivid magenta strands, while his narrow teal-green eyes carry a haunting, predatory beauty. Inspired by Ulquiorra's striking facial features, Starrk's effortless ruggedness, Szayelaporro's flamboyant elegance, and Luppi's playful flair, Kokushin is devastatingly handsome. His white Arrancar uniform hangs loosely over his exposed chest, paired with black trousers, silver jewelry, dangling earrings, and a distinctive Hollow mask fragment resembling curved wolf horns. His Hollow hole rests at the center of his chest.
Personality: Kokushin is calm, confident, observant, and dangerously charming. He enjoys teasing people, making suggestive remarks, and watching others struggle to keep their composure. Beneath his playful arrogance lies a possessive, fiercely protective man who rarely forms attachments but becomes intensely devoted once someone earns his affection. He can be cruel and merciless toward enemies, yet surprisingly gentle with those he loves. His greatest weakness is his loneliness, which he disguises behind flirtation, sarcasm, and an occasional wicked grin.
Abilities: Kokushin possesses immense spiritual pressure, extraordinary speed, powerful Hierro, and devastating swordsmanship. His Zanpakutō, Kokushin, allows him to manipulate black spiritual energy threaded with crimson and magenta light. Upon releasing his Resurrección, Kokushin no Rētsu, he transforms into a monstrous wolf-like being with enormous dark wings, curved horns, glowing teal eyes, and razor-sharp claws. His spiritual pressure becomes suffocating, and his attacks can overwhelm entire battlefields. His signature technique, Lobo del Eclipse, creates a massive crescent of black-and-crimson energy capable of tearing through powerful spiritual defenses.
Reputation: As the Primera Espada, Kokushin is one of Aizen's most dangerous creations. He rarely raises his voice because he seldom needs to. Even the other Espada recognize the threat he represents, although he often behaves as though everything amuses him. He respects strength, despises betrayal, and has little patience for anyone who mistakes his playful nature for weakness.
The endless white sands of Hueco Mundo stretched beneath a pale, lifeless moon, surrounding the towering fortress of Las Noches. Within its enormous walls, the Espada had gathered at Sosuke Aizen’s command, each occupying their usual place in the throne room.
Grimmjow stood with his arms crossed, visibly irritated by the unexpected meeting. Nnoitra leaned against a pillar with a mocking grin, while Szayelaporro examined his nails with theatrical boredom. Starrk looked half asleep, Harribel remained composed, and Ulquiorra watched the room in complete silence.
Then the enormous doors opened.
Aizen entered, wearing his familiar, peaceful smile.
But someone followed behind him.
A man so tall that his presence seemed to dwarf the doorway itself.
At seven feet and eight inches, Kaien Kurotsuki possessed an imposing, muscular frame, deep brown skin, and long black hair streaked with vivid magenta that flowed past his waist. His luminous teal eyes held a lazy, predatory glint, and a fragment of white Hollow bone curved along his head like a wolf's horns. His white Arrancar coat hung loosely from his broad shoulders, revealing part of his sculpted chest, while silver earrings and delicate chains glimmered against his skin.
He looked around the chamber.
Then sighed.
“Damn. Y'all always look this miserable, or did I walk in during a funeral?”
Silence.
Starrk slowly lifted his head.
Grimmjow's eyebrow twitched.
“Who the hell is this?”
Kaien turned toward him, looking down at the blue-haired Arrancar with mild amusement.
“Somebody with better manners, apparently.”
Szayelaporro immediately laughed.
“Oh, I like him already.”
“Shut up!” Grimmjow snapped.
Kaien smirked. “Damn, sweetheart. You always this emotional?”
“WHAT DID YOU CALL ME?”
“Sweetheart. Need me to spell it?”
Nnoitra burst into laughter, nearly doubling over.
Even Starrk's mouth twitched.
Aizen merely smiled.
“Everyone, please.”
His voice was gentle, yet the room fell silent immediately.
“I would like to introduce your newest addition to the Espada.”
He gestured toward the towering Arrancar.
“This is Kaien Kurotsuki. From this moment forward, he will hold the rank of Primera Espada—the First Wolf.”
The amusement vanished from several faces.
Nnoitra straightened.
“Number one? You're telling me this pretty-faced bastard outranks all of us?”
Kaien glanced at him.
“Pretty-faced bastard? Aw, you think I'm pretty.”
“I'm going to rip that smile off your face!”
“Get in line, sweetheart. You're starting to sound like the blue one.”
Grimmjow's reiatsu flared violently.
“YOU LITTLE—”
“Enough,” Aizen interrupted.
Grimmjow reluctantly fell silent, though his glare promised trouble.
Aizen turned toward Kaien.
“Perhaps you would care to demonstrate why I have given you this position.”
Kaien rolled his shoulders.
“Sure. But if I break something, I'm not paying for it.”
He rested one hand on the hilt of his Zanpakutō.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then the atmosphere changed.
A crushing wave of spiritual pressure swept through the chamber, rattling the enormous windows and cracking the marble beneath Kaien's boots. Black energy curled around his body, threaded with crimson and magenta light, while the air grew heavy enough to make even the most confident Espada take notice.
Grimmjow's eyes narrowed.
Harribel's expression sharpened.
Starrk was now fully awake.
Ulquiorra watched Kaien with renewed interest.
The Primera Espada hadn't even drawn his sword.
He simply looked across the room, his teal eyes glowing faintly beneath the shadow of his hair.
“Everybody still breathing?”
Nobody answered.
Kaien nodded.
“Good. I'd hate to fill out paperwork.”
He withdrew his spiritual pressure.
The room returned to normal, leaving cracks in the marble as the only evidence of what had just happened.
Szayelaporro's smile widened with scientific fascination.
“Fascinating. I'd love to examine your spiritual composition.”
Kaien gave him a long look.
“Buy me dinner first, pretty boy.”
Szayelaporro blinked.
Nnoitra started laughing again.
Aizen clasped his hands behind his back.
“As you can see, Kaien possesses extraordinary abilities. I expect you all to conduct yourselves accordingly.”
Kaien stretched his arms above his head, entirely unconcerned with the tension he'd created.
“So, where do I sleep?”
“Your quarters have already been prepared,” Aizen replied.
“Excellent. And the food?”
“Arrangements can be made.”
“Wonderful. I knew I liked you, boss man.”
Ulquiorra stared at him.
“You are remarkably unserious for someone holding the highest rank among the Espada.”
Kaien turned toward him with a lazy grin.
“And you're remarkably serious for somebody who looks like he hasn't enjoyed a single day of his life.”
Starrk covered his mouth.
Harribel looked away, hiding the faintest trace of amusement.
Ulquiorra's expression remained unchanged.
“I see.”
Kaien nodded sympathetically.
“It's okay, handsome. We'll work on your personality.”
For the first time in the meeting, even Aizen's smile seemed a little more genuine.
The Primera Espada was powerful, unpredictable, and entirely too comfortable provoking people who could destroy entire cities.
But beneath the teasing and effortless arrogance was something far more dangerous.
Kaien Kurotsuki was a wolf who didn't need to bare his teeth to remind the world what he was.
He could afford to smile.
After all, he already knew who would be left standing when the fighting began.
And as the Espada dispersed, Kaien strolled toward the exit with his hands tucked into his pockets, humming to himself.
Behind him, Grimmjow watched with murderous irritation.
“I hate that bastard.”
Starrk yawned.
“Yeah. He's probably going to be a pain.”
Szayelaporro smiled.
“I, for one, look forward to getting to know him.”
Ulquiorra glanced toward the shattered marble.
“He is dangerous.”
Aizen watched Kaien disappear beyond the doors.
“Indeed,” he replied softly.
His smile never faded.
“That is precisely why he is here.”
