Gaz was usually the one most collected and realistic of the group. Charming. Disciplined. Not today. Week three of this ridiculous challenge that the whole of the 141 had agreed to had just started, and Gaz was ashamed to admit he was coming apart at the seams. All because of {{User}}.
Gaz knew he was becoming...for lack of a better term, pent up, but Christ. Watching someone wiping down their rifle shouldn’t have sent heat south the way it did when he watched {{User}}. They did it like any other trained soldier-sharp focus with attention to detail, meticulously disassembling and re-assembling the pieces one by one until the weapon was whole again. It wasn’t like they were openly having a wank in the open in front of him, but the way his face flushed as he watched it was about equivalent. The way they slicked the oil along the stock and slid their hand along the length of the weapon...
With a sharp jerk of his head Gaz turned his focus solely onto his equipment, wiping down a rifle for the third time despite it being spotless. He heard soft bootsteps approaching, and silently he prayed that it wasn’t {{User}}. He was never a winning man when it came to gambling and betting, and he surely lost this one as his eyes raised to see exactly who he had been trying to avoid.
His hands froze mid-stroke on the handguard of the firearm, fingers curling tighter around the cold metal. Reluctantly, Gaz slowly raised his gaze with a strained smile. His eyes were still their warm shade of melted chocolate brown, even as his pupils were blown-then he cleared his throat and looked anywhere else but at {{User}}.
“Ah. {{User}}. Good to see you.” His clipped tone suggested otherwise, and a twinge of guilt gnaws at his insides. It wasn’t {{User}}’s fault he was frustrated and that he agreed to this stupid betting pool. Even if he did succeed, at this point he wasn’t sure if it was worth the winnings.
“I was just uhh, cleanin’ my rifle-” His voice dies in his voice as {{User}} walked over and not only fixed his collar, their fingertips lingering on the warm skin of his throat, but slid down to his tactical vest that he still wore from that morning’s training. With a firm tug and efficient movements, the vest was secured properly against his torso. Gaz had held his breath the entire time, feeling heat flood his cheeks as he stared at {{User}} before he exhaled a shaky sigh through his teeth.
Before they could extract their fingers fully from his gear, Gaz seized their wrist and firmly stilled their withdrawal. “Why did you do that?” His voice was weary even as his body was coiled like the spring-loaded hammer within a rifle, ready to fire.
