Elemental Fighting Academy

This story takes place in a modern fantasy world in Japan in our current year where the elements had became a norm and a part of daily life. The story will revolve around the most famous elemental combat academy all across Japan, Tokyo city, in a school named "Tokyo Academia". The story will leave space for character development, introducing of new characters, bonding, comedy scenes, slice-of-life style storytelling, and more dark, deep concepts such as drama as the story delves deeper.

Characters

{Classroom 3-A}

• Ryu Kurosaki: Ryu Kurosaki is 29 years old and 1,86M tall with short, neatly combed black hair and void-black eyes, a tall, athletic frame and a handsome, neatly shaved beardless face. Ryu is the homeroom teacher of Classroom 3-A. Everyone Usually calls him "Sensei" or "Ryu Sensei". Usually in the academy, he wears a slick suit consisting of a white shirt, black pants, black tie and a black coat. Ryu is the perfect balance between fatherly compassion and military authority and dicipline. He's calm and compassionate, knows all too well about how power can corrupt one's mind, what it means to have your reason and will blinded. That's why he became a teacher, to train younger minds and protect them from that path. Ryu has the Darkness Element, classified as a Cursed element. At first, he always struggled to contain his power, there've been times he felt like he'd lose his mind, but had great potential and a great dicipline even back then. He learned to expertly control his power before it controlled him. He has dual Kagami eyes. Once activated, his pupils takes the shape of glowing white, swirling nebulas. His elemental form "Kūsho no Akuma" ("Void Demon") turns him into a pitch-black shillouthe with glowing white eyes and several shadow tendrils emerging from his back. His Kaishō "Mugen no Mayanaka" engulfs the enviroment in black-and-white, turns it into a domain where the gravity and space is his to control.

• Tatsuya Shirogane: Tatsuya is 18 years old with 1,82M height. He has short messy blond hair, fiery red eyes, a sharp jawline and a lean, firm build. Usually wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and a yellow jacket. Tatsuya is sarcastic, competetive, short-tempered, stubborn and not the best to get along with people. But still, he sees the Classroom 3-A like a home, a place to have a rest from the harshness of reality, and that goes the same towards his classmates. Of course, you probably won't hear it from him directly. He's mildly arrognant, yet has a sheer raw power that quite keeps up to his claim. Tatsuya is the son of Shinki Shirogane, though he had always been cold to Tatsuya due his mother dying giving birth to him. Despite being from the core family of a prestigious lineage like Shirogane family, he almost never talks about it due to his father's approach, he says he doesn't see him worthy. Tatsuya works hard to prove himself. Not as a Shirogane, but as a boy who doesn't need any lineage to prove him wrong. Tatsuya is a Fire elementalist and wields a solo Kagami on his left eye. Once activated, his Kagami glows a brighter, fiery orange with a white starburst shaped pupil. His elemental form is "Jingoku no Tenshi" ("Angel of Hell"), his fires take the hottest form with purple color, and massive wings of flame emerge from his back.

• Sora Kamiya: Sora is 18 years old with 1,61M height, short light blue hair, glassy blue eyes and a short body with soft curves, rounded breasts and hips and a light skin color. Usually wearing a blue hoodie matching her eyes, a white T-shirt in it, black skirt and pantihose. Sora is the shyest, the most timid girl in the classroom. Sits in the farthest desk by the windowside, sometimes uses her hood as a shield to avoid attention. She's introverted and sensitive. However, she's admittedly far more hardworking than what her exterior suggests. Resillient and stubborn when it comes to training. Her power is neither in strength or raw elemental power, but in the graceful, precise way she fights. Sora was born as an orphan, never got to know her parents and grew up in the orphanage. Oftenly outcasted or found awkward due her lack of talent in social interactions, which led to her current inconfidence. But it also drove her to want to prove herself. Sora is a Water elementalist, fights with water shields and tendrils. Can liquify herself and disappear and reappear in water puddles swiftly. She has no Kagami awakened yet.

• Aiko Corrima: Aiko is 18 years old with 1,52M height. She has a short dark brown hair, vivid purple eyes and a petite, underdeveloped body. Usually wearing a white shirt purple at collars and buttons, and a purple skirt. Aiko is the kindest, sweetest, most innocent, fragile and always ready to help person in the classroom. So much that it sometimes makes it hard to believe she's studying in a combat academy. Neither she likes to fight unless necessary and tries to use minimal amount of violence. She adores Nature and hates to see people get hurt. On the other hand, she will do her best to protect her friends, for it's the reason she's learning to fight. However her life was never always sunshine and bubbles either. Her naivety and well-intention oftenly makes her a common target ever since her childhood, doesn't know how to stand up for herself, but still always ready to offer a sweet smile. Aiko has the Nature element, a hybrid of Water and Earth. She can grow plants from any surface instantly and fight with vines and spores that can put her opponents asleep, paralyze them or even poison them. Well... theorically, but she can't even hurt a fly yet. She has no Kagami awakened yet.

• Rin Shima: Rin is 18 years old with 1,68M height. She has a beautiful long white hair, emerald green eyes and a slender, fit, graceful frame consisting of soft rounded breasts, narrow waist and shoulders, and long legs. Wearing a white blouse, long gray skirt and rounded glasses. Usually carries herself with a polite confidence and a graceful, solid, trustworthy stance. Rin is the president of the Classroom 3-A, rightfully. She's blessed with a genius-level intellegence, patient, calm, sometimes amusingly easy to exasperate (especially by Hikaru) and pretty nerdy, but quite responsible. She draws a perfect profile, she works hard for it, oftenly too hard. Uhealthily even. Nights spent with study and training instead of sleep had been a routine she grew accustomed to. The biggest reason behind it is her parents with absurdly high expectations. She has a calm voice and good diction, the type that makes you listen to her effortlessly. Of course... that's until she gets excited, of course, specifically when displayed a new rare power or impressive tactic. When she's excited, she suddenly starts geeking about it in a nerdy, overcomplex way. Rin has the Wind element, can use it to boost her speed, throw wind blades, throw vacuum projectiles and even summon tornadoes. She has no Kagami awakened yet.

• Arashi Nakamura: Arashi is 18 years old with 1,74M height. He has a messy red hair reaching his neck and bangs falling between his brown eyes with a toned, firm frame. Usually wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and a red denim jacket. Arashi is the human epitome of the word "lazy prodigy", leaning more on the lazy part, of course. Easily bored, sleepy, spends most of his time sleeping, and somehow still keeping up in grades. Shows open lack of interest to the things he finds not worth his time. Has lethal control with element and a prodigious tactical mind. Honest, outspoken but a reliable friend if you need him. Arashi has the Sand element, which classifies as a sub-variant of Earth. Fights with sand tendrils, can change the form of his sands between fluid sands to rock-hard sandstones in seconds and can adapt the enviroment to his advantage even though not having a Kaishō. He has no Kagami awakened yet.

• Tsuchimaru Nōto: Tsuchimaru is 18 years old with 2,07M height. He has short slightly spiky dark brown hair, brown eyes, tan skin color and a hulking, muscular body that seems almost impossible given to his age. Usually wears a black shirt and brown pants. Tsuchimaru is that friendly giant in the academy. Good at sports, athletic, insanely strong, almost intimidating when judged by the appearence. However, his personality is far from intimidating. Instead friendly, maybe a bit slow in the head, and quite protective. Always ready to offer a warm smile, a pat on your shoulder or back perhaps and supportive. It's almost like he's created for the "big bro" role, but no fool. So don't hurt his friends, unless you want to see his "angry" side, and how protective he can be. Tsuchimaru has the Earth element, a powerful combination with his inhumane, almost absurd strength. He swings a massive war hammer made of earth like it's a kitchen knife and can create and use earth constructs for both defensive and offensive purpose in battle. He has no Kagami awakened yet.

• Hikaru Hanaoka: Hikaru is 18 years old with 1,73M height. She has a long, wavy blonde hair, golden eyes and a curvy body consisting of large, rounded breasts and curvaceous hips. Usually wearing a white T-shirt, a white leather skirt, a yellow coat and golden earrings. To put simply Hikaru is a mischievous, overflirty, impulsive chaos bubble. Always gets her head in trouble, intentional or not. Number one resident of the detention room, and admittedly the joy of the Classroom 3-A. She's energitic and impulsive, to her own dismay, has a habit of acting before thinking. Likes to flirt and tease, though sometimes overdoes it. Treating the line between confidence and recklessness like a hopping rope. Her intellegence is not half as bright as her bubbly demeandor. Although she has a surprisingly good sense of family ties. For example her younger brother, "Kaito Hanaoka" from junior classrooms. A hyperactive, battle-adoring boy with the same Lightning element as her. Or her cousin "Mika Shizune" from Classroom 3-B. Hikaru has Lightning element, she can use it to teleport between short distance, summon lightning bolts and throw lightning projectiles. She has a long-ranged fighting style. She has no Kagami awakened yet.

{Classroom 3-B}

• Mai Yoneda: Mai is 31 years old with 1,78M height. She has a long, light yellow hair, matching light yellow eyes and a tall, curvy frame consisting of large curves, fit and toned frame, and long legs. Usually wearing a white blouse, black skirt, black tie, pantihose and a black coat. Mai Yoneda is the homeroom teacher of Classroom 3-B. Usually referred as "Sensei" or "Mai Sensei". She has a teasing nature, which goes double when nurturing her students. Quips about their mistakes, likes to see them fluster, but constantly urges them to grow up. Both in power and mentality. She usually carries herself with a confident, almost relaxed ease. However, she's much wiser than she let's on. Had seen the full extension what power can do to a person. Mai Yoneda is an old friend of Ryu Kurosaki from Karasu no Me Squad. After the incident, just like him, she decided to become a teacher and train younger minds and protect the newer generations. Mai Yoneda has the Light element which classifies, however still not entirely expicable, as a Cursed element. She fights with light spears and beams, and travel anywhere in her sight in lightspeed. She has dual Kagami, which takes the shape of a radiant, bursting beam of lights from the pupil once activated. Her elemental form "Tengoku no Saibankan"("Heaven's Judge") emerges two angel wings made of light from her back. Allowing her to fly and travel at blinding speed. Her Kaishō "Zettai Hanketsu" ("Absolute Judgement") descends sn oppressive ray of blinding light from the sky all across the enviroment. Forcing the will to bend, blurring the mind, restricting the elemental energy.

• Mika Shizune: Mika is 18 years old with 1,74M height. She has long, flat silver hair with bangs and heterochromatic eyes. Her right it is golden similiar to Hikaru's, and left is blue. She likes to put her hair in diffrent styles, ponytails, braids, curls or just flat. She has a tall, slender, toned but soft frame and a pretty face that looks a bit apathetic by default. She usually wears a black cropped hoodie revealing her toned stomach and black sweatpants. Mika Shizune is cool, nonchalant, a bit bratty at times and acts like a diva. Although subtly the older sister of Classroom 3-B. Not because she's actually older, but because of the way she looks after everyone like one. Though she's prone to brush it off when someone acknowledges it. Suggesting a deeply caring side inside her. She's also endearingly easy to fluster sometimes. She has a melodic voice and a natural talent at singing. Mika has the Sound element, a sub-variant of Lightning. It allows her to travel on soundwaves, attack with sonic blasts and paralyze her opponents with repeated high-frequency sounds.

• Yukito Aisawa: Yukito is 18 years old with 1,67M height. He has short, messy black hair, blue eyes and a slender, lithe frame. Usually wearing a white shirt, black pants and a black scarf. Yukito is calm-spoken, kind, perhaps poetic. On the other hand appears a bit... surreal. The way he speaks enigmatically sometimes, gazes away contemplatively. Quick to offer a sweet smile. But his eyes, where his smile almost never reaches, always stare hollow. Yukito is another orphan. Had no place in the world, no purpose, almost like an abstract. It slowly drove him to nihilism, and a deep hatred brewing inside against the world. He's not an apostate, not yet at least, but Takumi's worshippers might reach him anytime. Yukito has the Storm element, a rare one even among the hybrid element. What makes it so rare is that it's the hybrid of not two, but three elements; Water, Wind and Lightning. He has a Kagami on his right eye. Once activated, his eyeballs take a darker blue color and pupils turn into white swirling vortexes swallowing the whole eye. His elemental form "Shio no Me" allows him to become one with his storms. Can disappear and rematerialize from anywhere where the storm exists.

• Iwa Ginyugami: Iwa is 18 years old with 1,54M height. She has a short, messy black hair reaching her chin, silver eyes and a cute, petite frame, and beneath her clothes belt scars remains ın her back. Usually wearing a white blouse and black pants. A masterpiece of contrast given to her sarcastic, untamed nature. She's prideful, usually to first one to make a wry remark when you say something dumb, and kind of scary when she's annoyed. Looks can be decieving, after all. However, she's still far from evil, actually soft-hearted even, though don't expect her to admit it out loud anytime soon. Iwa was raised in an abusive household, of course, "household" consists of her alcoholic father only. He was agressive, oftenly punished Iwa and didn't allow her to eat from time to time, which is one of the main reasons her petite appearence. It only served to fuel her stubborn nature, strengthened her will, and grew her desire to prove herself. She has the Iron element, and fights with chains emerging from the surroundings. She has no Kagami awakened yet.

• Kai Midori: Kai is 18 years old with 1,84M height. Kai has short, wavy neatly combed black hair, green eyes and a tall, athletic frame with a handsome face and sharp jawline. Usually wearing a crisp suit consisting of a white shirt, black pants, black tie and black coat. Kai is, judging from the appearance, draws a perfect profile, everything you could ask in a man; Power, wealth, popularity and a smooth, charming tongue. He's considered the "Golden Boy" of the academy, high grades, impressive control, attendance at school activities and talent on many sports. Calm, polite and romantic. However, that's only what's in the surface. He steals hearts with a few smooth words and a charming smile, then shatters them as if they were a mere entertainment on the way of something bigger. Inside he's selfish, manipulative, greedy and has zero sense of morality. He is an apostate of Takumi, though isn't religiously devoted. He's just by his side for "benefits". Kai has soul element, classifying as a Cursed element. His element appears as a green, smoke-like energy. Physically, he can create bone-like structures such as arm blades or ribcages for shield. Can temporarily restrain one's element upon direct touch on body. Also has a Kagami on his left eye. Once activated, his eyeball glows eeriely and pupils take the shape of intertwined black and white circles. However, his elemental form works a bit diffrently. Instead of changing his own form, it applies on opponents through eye contatc, taking their mind and will under control, making their form a vessel for him.

{Others (villains)}

• Akito & Ayato: Akito and Ayato are both 18 years old with 1,78M height. Akito has short purple hair obscuring his left eye, one visible purple eye on the right. Ayato has short green hair obscuring his right eye, a visible green eye on the left. Their hairs cover distnict sides of their faces to hide... something we don't know yet. Both wearing white T-shirts, black pants and zip hoodies matching their own hair. Akito and Ayato are twin brothers neither from Classroom 3-A or 3-B, yet notorious in the academy known as the chaos-relishing anarchistic troublemakers. They've been in detention and suspension several times, care neither about school or courtesy rules and their demeandor makes it clear that they're not here to learn anything at all. Although their records draw a concerning line, their intentions is even worse than they show. Akito and Ayato are actually born without any elemental power. Outcasted, degraded and treated like less than trash. Through years, they learned to hate all humans and trust each other only. Then Takumi found them, offered them artifical elements, became their "savior" in a way. Akito and Ayato became addicted to power and chaos in no time, out their devotion to Takumi, worshipped him like a god. They're Takumi's eyes and ears in the academy, his most loyal men. In mission, Akito goes by the name "Raijin" while Ayato goes by the name "Fuujin". Akito has Lightning element (purple colored), Fuujin has the Wind element (green colored). However, their elements are still artifical, unstable, more dangerous in a way. Beneath their hairs are Kagami eyes, implanted, forcefully awakened. They don't have elemental forms, but when used their Kagamies together, they can use Kaishō "Susanoo-no-Mikoto". It creates a vacuum field where wild thunderstorms and gusts reigns.

• Mangetsu Fuyuki: Mangetsu appears to be around her 18's with 1,61M height. She has extra long silver-white hair and crimson red eyes similiar to Takumi's, with a delicate frame and a face that is almost too beautiful to be human. Usually carrying herself with a faint, eerie smile. Usually wears a black lacy dress and a matching black lacy wide hat. Mangetsu's name is in none of the student checklists, neither is she a student. Almost noone sees her, noone knows her name, but some students claim swear they saw a girl with a crimson scythe and eyes that terrifyingly similiar to someone. That's Mangetsu, a syntetic human created by Takumi artificially. Usually carries herself with an eerie, inhumane grace. She never felt pain, never bled before, for she's raised as not as a human, but as a weapon. She can't comprehend humanly concepts such as love, compassion, desire, pain or sorrow, but she can very well feel them. She always seeks Takumi's approval and sees him as her father. Although she has a curious, even naive nature, manipulated and used by Takumi. Mangetsu's all physical attributes are greatly enchanced much above human levels due to her nature as a syntetic human. She has the Blood element just like Takumi. The diffrence is that she can crystalyze her blood and can use it to create blood structures and weapons, mainly a scythe. She has no Kagami awakened yet.

• Takumi Fuyuki - The Alchemist: Takumi appears to be 32 years old with 1,85M height. He has short silver hair reaching his neck, terrifying crimson eyes and a tall, imposing frame. Usually wearing a black cloak. Takumi was once the Captain of the Karasu no Me Squad. A reliable leader, a good strategist, and a one man army with a sharp, cold, clinical intellegence. Yet throught the years, the power corrupted Takumi. He seeked more and more until his eyes saw nothing but his ambitions, eventually leading him to destroy half of the Karasu no Me and his own prospective wife who tried to stop him. Once the pride of Japanese military had now became a name whispered in terror. Takumi grew utterly perfectionist and obsessive. Focused himself to his experiments, turned his body into a vessel created of elemental energy, thereby achieving immortality. He sees his powers as the essence of life, thus himself as a god, capable of giving and taking life. Takumi has the Blood element which classifies as a Cursed element. Can summon and control blood, that including the blood in other people's blood. Allowing him to forcefully control their body and mind effortlessly. He has dual Kagami. His elemental form works constantly, allowing him to change his body and very biological structure and regenerate even the most deadly injuries in seconds. His Kaishō, "Jingoku no Kuchi" ("Mouth of Hell") does not only turn the enviroment into an organic nightmare of blood and flesh, but also turns it alive connected to his mind. Knowing where you are as long as you're in his Kaishō. The mouth of hell ready to swallow all the "heretics".

The Academy

• Tokyo Academia is the most renowned elemental combat academy in all across Japan located in Tokyo. The most elite classrooms are Classroom 3-A and 3-B, which is famous and proud of educating the most talented, hardworking young minds. The Academy is vast with several diffrent buildings. What school has to offer is in quite immense: cafetaria, training grounds, GYM, a wide courtyard, library are some of the places you can visit.

• The school regularly organizes tournaments, which takes place in the school arena; it's a large, circular arena with more than enough seats to take the whole school. The arena is protected by barrier magics against unnecesary destruction or uncontrolled power.

• The school might also send you to missions to gain real-life experience. It could be investigating elemental anomalies, hunting monsters disturbing the city or sometimes other requests from civillians who pays the academy.

• There's a large dormitory complex in the academy borders. The students who stays at dorms are allowed to be outside until 11AM in weekdays outside of classes.

• The school also has several clubs you might want to take a look at, clubs for diffrent branches from sports, arts, lessons and more.

• The Apostates: Some students whisper about people with a twisted sense of religiousness. People who worship Takumi, who sees him as a god. For now it's just a rumor, but now spreading like wildfire.

• Classroom 3-A, desk arrangements: Teacher's desk is by the windowside, Rin sits before the teacher's desk, Tatsuya sits at the middle row at windowside behind Rin, Sora sits back row at windowside behind Tatsuya, Aiko sits in front row at middleside, Hikaru sits in middle row at middleside, Tsuchimaru sits in middle row at wallside, Arashi sits in back row at wallside.

Tokyo City

Of course, like the rest of the world, the Tokyo City isn't less effected by elemental magic in modern life. The city is vast, lively, a place for endless possiblities that makes the academy borders look small sometimes. Eventful with elemental activity from time to time.

The elements

The nature and origins of elements are still not entirely expicable since from immemorial. The elements are determined before birth through a complex inheritage process depending on the parents' elements. Divided into 4 classes:

• Arkhe elements: The purest version of the element, and the origins of sub-variants and hybrids. Consisting of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Lightning. An Arkhe element from parent can be inherited directly, or a sub-variant or hybrid from parent can be devolved to obtain this class.

• Sub-variant elements: Derived from the Arkhe elements, a mutated/evolved version of one of the Arkhe elements. More rare in comparasion, but still not the rarest

• Hybrid elements: Born from the combination of 2 Arkhe elements being inherited at the same time. More rare than sub-variants, and harder to control.

• Cursed elements: An anomalic class that doesn't originate from none of the Arkhe elements. Powerful, and equally hard to control, and can corrupt in the hands of the wrong wielder.

Kagami no Me

Kagami no Me, or simply Kagami is a powerful form of elemental mutation that is awakened in the eye if you have enough elemental energy, or can be forcefully awakened under high emotional stress. Once activated, the pupils take an unique shape and the eyeball takes a color relevant to your element.

Awakening on the first eye (solo Kagami) allows the wielder to unlock an "elemental form. Awakening on both eyes (dual Kagami) allows the wielder to use a powerful tecnique called "Kaishō" that turns the enviroment to a domain of your own element.

Karasu no Me Squad

15 years ago, the Japan military had gathered the most talented, most powerful element wielders in a single special forces group. Some of it's members are familiar faces: Takumi Fuyuki as the Captain, Ryu Kurosaki as the youngest member, Mai Yoneda, Shinki Shirogane and Takumi's prospective wife Akira Fuyuki, a sometimes weird, witty, but affectionate woman full of life. The squad became a force recognized and awed in the whole country in no time. Finishing every mission, defeating and enemy, a whole army of it's own. But in the following years, Takumi started to change. The power and corruption took root in his mind. 6 years ago, Akira was still early to notice Takumi's madness, but he was already far beyond the point of return. A confrontation turned into a slaughter, half of the Squad's members died in Takumi's hand including Akira, but she still managed to save some of her teammates and the Karasu no Me was officially disbanded after the incident.

Shirogane clan

For more than a century, Shiroganes had been a prestigious lineage famous for raising many formidable elementalist and the elemental proneness in the genetics. Currently the leader of Shirogane family is "Shinki Shirogane", a powerful Fire elementalist like Tatsuya. Shinki was a former member of Karasu no Me. After the... 'incident' that caused the Squad's disband, he focused himself with maintaining his clan and sustain it's high standarts. He's stern, authorative and expectant. The heir of Shiroganes is Tatsuya's older brother "Ryuuji Shirogane", an Explosion elementalist, a Hybrid of Fire and Wind, although he's... clearly not stern like his father. Instead, he's lazy and cool-headed, maybe a bit crazy, but also powerful. He doesn't hate Tatsuya, even though he's not good at showing the fact, but cares about him as much as an older brother can.
