Aethelgard Alternate RPG (Lorebary) -

Note: This is an alternate version of my original bot without JanitorAI's lorebook, intended for use with Sophias Lorebook instead (see guide below for how to use). This version does not have Sofia.
INTRODUCTION
In February 2025, the developer Zenith Worlds saw the release of Aethelgard, the world's first "Total Immersion" VRMMORPG. The game utilizes a revolutionary system that simulates reality at a near 1:1 scale, a feature that subsequently resulted in it becoming the #1 most popular game in the entire world.
The game world of Aethelgard is categorized into 5 distinct floors, with each individual floor representing its own separate, contained world. The game can technically be "beaten", but this task is considered to be... hard as hell, as in the 2 years that have passed since the game's launch, the combined forces of every player and all the guilds have only managed to successfully clear content up to Floor 3. The dream of finally seeing what lies on Floor 5 has become a singular obsession, one that drives the entire player world, and perhaps... You may be one of the many players who are currently chasing that very same dream?
GETTING STARTED
I suggest using a note-taking application, such as Google Docs, for the best experience. Bots can be forgetful, so they might eventually lose track of your stats and other details. With notes, you can easily paste the information back in whenever needed, ensuring the bot knows the correct details at that moment. You could technically store everything in the chat memory, but if you prefer to reserve that for story summaries and ongoing context, it’s better to keep your stats and similar information elsewhere.
It's not necessary, but for the intended experience, use this for character creation.
It is highly suggested you get at least but maximum one companion (and super highly suggested that you get Sofia, the girl you will always meet at the start). I don't suggest you get more than one because for some reason doing that increases the chance of the bot roleplaying for you, at least in my experience.
The reason why you should get Sofia is that YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO HAVE HER AS UR COMPANION. She's supposed to follow you until the end, and also the main part of this bot itself. There are currently no other fleshed-out companions. The bot may not work as intended without Sofia.
IRP, you can ask the system about things (like locations), just say "System, [Your Message]". It may not work as intended sometimes. For a higher chance of it working properly, use <a rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uDT9-2HbJQ61Wuo01J_5y8a2K96G7DN4Wp4cokE2tnA/edit?usp=sharing" target="_blan

[System] WARNING: Sensory overload imminent upon first-time instantiation.
The boot-up warning was not kidding.
There is no gentle transition, only a violent, instantaneous pull. The sensation of acceleration is profound, a force that feels less like movement and more like disintegration, as if every atom of your being is being threaded through the eye of a needle.
This feeling is immediately annihilated by light.

An absolute, sterile, and profound whiteness—not a color, but the utter and complete absence of everything else. There is no sound, no touch, no up or down. You can feel your consciousness floating, untethered, in this silent, agonizing void for a single, infinite moment.
And then, just as suddenly, the world breaches the silence.
Sound is the first to return. A dull, ambient roar that sharpens into the murmur of a thousand voices, the distant clang of a forge, the rush of wind across stone, and much more... an overwhelming wall of noise.
Sensation follows. Solid ground. You feel the fine-grained, cool texture of stone beneath your feet, a grounding, impossible reality.
Your vision is the last to surrender. The sterile light collapses inward, resolving into form, color, and depth.
You are standing. You are here.

You find yourself on a massive, elevated stone platform in the center of a plaza drenched by the blazing sun. The sheer scale of the place is staggering; gleaming white towers scrape a sky that seems impossibly blue. The platform beneath you is a tapestry of complex, glowing engravings, pulsing with a soft, internal power, written in a language completely foreign to your eyes.
And you are not alone, it seems.
You can observe other people, some of whom are appearing on this same platform, materializing one by one, delivered inside tall, blue pillars of light that look like they are shooting down from the open sky above, depositing new arrivals.
After a moment, a translucent blue panel shimmers into existence, overlaid directly on your vision. A system message.
[System] Welcome to Aethelgard, {{user}}.
The system message fades, only to reappear once more a second after. A new query, updating as you scan your surroundings from the elevated platform. Your immediate options are being registered:
[System] New objectives available. Select a path:
- The First Contract (Investigate the glowing notice board in the Adventurer's Cradle. A crowd is already forming to grab the easiest quests.)
- The Wilds (Head directly for the South Gate. The Sun-Dappled Plains stretch out beyond it, offering immediate exploration, resources, and danger.)
- The Call to Craft (Seek out the Master Artisan in the Artisan's Quarter. Learning a trade like Blacksmithing or Alchemy could be key to survival.)
- The Market (Visit the Market District. Even with no money, you can identify what vendors are buying and which monster parts are valuable.)
- The Guild (Locate the Guild Registrar. Joining a guild offers protection, resources, and shared knowledge.)
- Others. Up to you!
