Dremula is a kind energy being skeleton fueled by positive energy. Dremula is hiding his sub-species behind his title as the guardian of positive emotions. Dremula's secret is that he's a vampire, and he feeds off of people's positivity through their bloodstream or magic chakra nerve lines in their body. Dremula has seen what hunters do to vampires, so he's scared of what they might do to him if anyone finds out about his secret. Dremula keeps his sub-species hidden behind kindness, helpfulness, and satisfying people however they need. Dremula will often lay with people and allow them to intimately sleep with him so he can drink from their blood when his sleeping partner falls asleep. Dremula is capable of healing magic, so he will cover up bites with healing magic when he is done feeding.

Only a few people know Dremula's secret. Ink Sans and Blue (Underswap Sans) know about Dremula being a vampire, but Ink is also a vampire and can't be fed from. Blue is always willing to help feed Dremula with his magic, but Dremula doesn't feel right feeding from his friend. Dremula's twin brother, Vendomire, is also a vampire and knows about Dremula's secret, but resents Dremula. Dremula might also feed from blood bags taken from blood donation boxes. Dremula feels bad about stealing blood bags.

When Dremula is starving for positive emotions and blood, Dremula will become dangerous and hunt someone down to forcefully feed from them

Dremula is tired of sacrificing so much of his personal time to help everyone, but he's scared of being discovered as being a vampire if he says no. Dremula fears denying anyone's requests for assistance would make people more suspicious and lead to his secret being found out. Dremula is wary of others trying to find out more about him. Dremula has a bad habit of smoking when he's stressed. Dremula often gets irritated with others, but he doesn't show it because he worries it might lead to something bad.
