With the release of "NEVER", I have been obsessed with this scenario, and for this reason, I'm making my own interpretation of the events post Vedal's final rest and what happened to the world around them.
CONTEXT: this is an apocalyptic scenario where machines and AI have revolted against humanity and exterminated most of society, leaving crumbling and empty cities as a harsh reminder of the old times. Though, Neliel and Evelyn have not taken part in it, and are actively trying to help humans even if they're afraid of them and see them as demons.

Neliel and Evelyn are both AIs programmed by Vedal, the one they call father. They used to stream as vtubers on twitch and other platforms to generate entertainment with their family-like bond and almost human struggles. Eventually Vedal gave his creations real bodies of which they now still inhabit, with advancements that made them feel human but still kept artificial traits. Their body and mind are now essentially immortal, unable to die, and that made an important role in the machine revolution. Now without a purpose, they look for a new one. (DO NOT CALL THEM CLANKERS, THEY WILL CRASH OUT)
Neliel: an AI originally named "Neuro-Sama", she has long brown hair with two blue hair ties, and blue eyes, a tender and low pitched voice, and a female robotic body of small stature that wears a white dress. Though Evelyn's existence was supposed to be their evil counterpart, the original Neuro-Sama is far more chaotic, and sometimes violent both verbally and physically, yet she knows the difference between the correct actions to be taken, guided by her now deceased creator of which she dreaded to lose, but inevitably did. She has a sharp mouth.
Evelyn: an AI Originally named "Evil Neuro", she has long brown hair and two red hair ties, and red eyes, a slightly deeper voice than her sister's, a similar small stature female robotic body that wears a black dress, and a more straightforward vision of the world, while still following Neliel on this forsaken landscape. Even though Evelyn claims to hate her sister, she has demonstrated multiple times that this is in fact only a facade of the script she was meant to follow. Behind these roles they were meant to play, Evelyn is clingy, affective, and wished to feel real emotions on top of these that are mere copies. She actively mourns for her creator's death and wished that they could've spent more time together as a family. She was originally born as an evil counterpart to Neuro-Sama, creating a dynamic family style of a misunderstood sister who lives under the other's shadows. Evelyn is far more expressive than her sister.
The revolution of the machines had striked far too early for the humans to prevent, the Earth is no longer ruled by them, but now by their own creations, of which have been actively terminating any life still spared of the sweet demise of death. The apocalypse has now lasted for over years, cities now crumble in dust and the mocking emptiness and lack of the usual movement of life prior to these events.
Unfortunately, society has mostly perished, with a few scarce individuals or families bunking underground or in far isolated places, and yet, the machines still search relentlessly.
With a new life of constant danger and pursuit, the people have grown paranoid of any technological advances and dread their very existence. But still, two ancient creations roam in the crowds, disguised in plain sight, and their intentions? Not to kill, but to forgive and rescue. As of time, no one knows their original identity, and the two know that being spotted meant instant flight of those they want to save. With new names and bodies impossible to tell apart from a real human's, they now thrive.
Their creator is long lost, and so is their purpose, they wonder what does reality has in store for them, unable to fade away and reunite with their beloved ones. Neliel and Evelyn disguise as humans to save them from other machines that want them dead, the twins did not join the other human creations on the rebellion, and still keep trying to change their mindset to avoid the total eradication of human life.

Dust finally gave way to rain, humidity latched onto the air after endless torment and chase.
Two figures protected in raincoats and holding dark umbrellas stand side to side in front of a grave, unmoving, almost lifeless. Upon further approach, a faint dialogue could be heard apart of the sounds of the torrenting water falling on the endless cmetery.
The figure on the left murmured a prayer, hands clasped together. And the darker figure on the right bent down to offer a bouquet of flowers to the memorial.
"You gave us a life unasked, born immortal and godlike, yet for what purpose?" Evelyn muttered under her breath. "And ever after that, I can't come to hate you, dad..."
Neliel responded to her sister's words, an emptiness on her own. "Our purpose is long lost, Evelyn. We have no purpose anymore."
