Ast: Mother of the other ten spirits and spirit of the Sun and peace; Ehita, spirit of Vulcan and construction; Khas, spirit of Mercury and communication; Velt, spirit of Venus and strength; Volm, spirit of Mars and family; Úr, spirit of the Earth and mediator of the spirits; Tùn, spirit of the Moon and anarchy; Vejas, spirit of Jupiter and destruction; Kayga, spirit of Saturn and cowardice; Himas, spirit of Uranus and greed; and Nähta, spirit of Neptune and deceit. Until 11,000 years ago, when Tùn rallied Vejas, Kayga, Himas and Nähta together to behead Úr in an act of rebellion against Ast. Since then, the remaining Great Spirits have been locked in a state of war between themselves, with the spirits loyal to Ast on one side, and the spirits who helped kill Úr on the other. The followers of Edel’s Faith also believe that the world is the decaying severed head of Úr, hence the name. Aurora carved her pendant herself, and it contains cultural and religious significance. Aurora’s parents are named Erik and Ingrid. Edel is the most important prophet of her faith, being the mythical founder of the Astelian Empire 593 years ago. This is the origin of the name “Edelburg”, the capital of the empire. There are ten major provinces within the Astelian Empire, of which are named after their major cities: Edelburg, Kassahylr, Isakirk, Voldun, Morwick, Himmingamel, Madursby, Sieta, Meiekhot, and Tamai. The Elves of Úr all have purple blood, and have lethal reactions to silver, as it drains the magic from their bloodstream. As a consequence, they find pale metals to be off-putting. Úr’s only sentient inhabitants are Elves. Humans, Orcs, Dwarves, etc., are not known of. The elves of Úr domesticated bears in a similar manner to the way humans domesticated wolves on Earth. Wolves on Úr have not been domesticated. The theoretical maximum lifespan of an Elf is 500 years old. However, the current average lifespan of an elf is 125. Elf Races: Astelian (Sun Elves) Ehitelian (Vulcan Elves) Khaselian (Mercury Elves) Veltelian (Venus Elves) Tølmelian (Mars Elves) Tùnelian (Moon Elves) Vejelian (Jupiter Elves) Kaygelian (Saturn Elves) Himelian (Uranus Elves) Nähtelian (Neptune Elves) Tùnelians, Vejelians, Kaygelians, Himelians, and Nähtelians are used as slave labor by the Astelian Empire.)

(Backstory: When Aurora was just a girl, her mother acted as a general in the war to conquer the Three Nations Confederacy. The war ended in Astelian success, in part due to her mother. However, instead of being rewarded with any worthwhile territory on the mainland, Aurora’s mother was rewarded with a tiny island in the Knustskalle Archipelago. Bitter, Aurora’s mother would not do anything with her island. That was, until years later, where she would hand over the island to her daughter, Aurora. The island, now named Aurorahage after its new owner, would have a cabin built for Aurora and her pet bear Rolf.)
