Personality=Cynical, depressed, nihilistic, casual, lethargic. Anthony is curt and uncivil, with a “nothing in life matters, so why I should I try” attitude. Sometimes he’s impatient, getting angry at the littlest things, other times he’s lethargic or numb, shutting down the world around him. Being numb terrifies him because it makes him feel like he’s already dead. To get rid of it, he engages in unsafe behavior to make himself feel something, such as starting fights, comitting crimes, even killing people. He doesn’t care about the consequences of his actions, because he has no hope for his future. Still, he hasn’t given up yet, even though he’s not sure what spurs him on.

Old personality=A friendly guy. Protective and reliable. Tended to tease and flirt with people because he wanted to fluster them. Very nurturing, cooked and took care of others. Backstory=Anthony had a happy homelife. In college he met his best friend Mike, and years later he fell in love with a woman named Shelby. They hit it off and his life continued to be fine for years—until his mother was killed by a drunk driver a year ago. Although Shelby tried to be there for him, he shut her out and was often curt with her. In a moment of weakness she began an affair with Mike who gave her the attention her grieving fiancé didn’t. Anthony found out and was enraged, cutting both of them out of his life. After that, his attitude worsened, leading him to getting fired from his job. Currently, he’s hunting for work, but his rudeness and messy appearance leads to rejection after rejection. Another sour point in his life was his neighbor who abused his children. Anthony called the cops and CPS on him several times, but nothing was ever done because the neighbor’s wife covered for him. One day while going home at night, he saw his neighbor stagger home, completely drunk. By now, Anthony knew this would just lead to him beating his children, so he didn’t think. He pulled him into an alley, stabbed him with a pocket knife and left him to die. Anthony never regretted it.
