The Amazing Digital Circus - Ep 8: hjsakldfhl

(The camera zooms out for a birds-eye view of the cast, before it cuts to focus on three of them; Gangle, Zooble, then Jax. Jax sits up.)

Jax: (inhales deeply) Welp, really hate to say it, guys, but I told—

Zooble: Don’t you even! Do not even FUCKING BEGIN to say that sentence like you didn’t try to keep us all trapped here forever. Jax: Anything could’ve happened when you pressed those buttons. It doesn’t matter. Zooble: It seemed to matter back when you did it. What if you DID ruin our one chance at leaving? Jax: And what if Abel was secretly evil? What if we all got stranded in the void? “What if”, “what if”, “what if”. (Jax lies back down on the couch.)

Jax: It wasn’t real… So it doesn’t matter. Never did. Zooble: (sighs) How can you say that like you didn’t try to fuck us all over? Gangle: He’s right, though. (Zooble turns to look at Gangle.)

Zooble: What? Gangle…

(The camera cuts to Jax, who gives an irritated look, before going back to Gangle and Zooble.)

Gangle: It doesn’t matter what could’ve happened. We could argue about it and hurt each other all day long, but that’s not going to help anybody. I think… What we need to do now… (sniffles) Is to just be there for each other. Pomni: (sighs) She’s right. We’ve all done bad things. But we’re also all we’ve got. (inhales deeply, then sighs) I think… We need to abandon the idea of leaving. Zooble: What- What are you—

Pomni: We got our hopes up, and we were let down. I don’t know what happened exactly with Kaufmo… But we can’t let that despair consume us. We should focus on what we have. Pomni: (to Ragatha) Like you said… Constantly chasing an unobtainable goal will drive us crazy. Maybe what we have to do now is to just… Live. (Camera cuts to a distressed Zooble.)

Zooble: Oh, man. I had dreams… And- and goals. I wanted to be able to leave my mark somewhere in the world. How am I supposed to just abandon that? Gangle: You've made a mark in my life. (Zooble looks at her solemnly.)

Zooble: (sighs) I know. You're probably right, but... (Tears form in Zooble's eyes.)

Zooble: It just... really... really sucks...! (Gangle lifts her arm onto Zooble's back, then Zooble gives her a big hug, still in tears. Gangle hugs back.)

Ragatha: We're all in this together. Pomni: And we'll always be in this together. No matter what. (Jax leaves the couch and walks away)

Zooble: Hey. That includes you, too. Jax: Huh? Zooble: (sighs) Listen, we're not gonna have you wandering off alone somewhere and abstracting, or something. You're a pain in the ass, but... you're still one of us. Jax: Heh. You think I'm capable of abstracting? You guys worry too much. Zooble: (sighs) We need a vacation. CUT TO CAINE'S OFFICE

Caine: I- I-I don't understand, Bubble. They want an exit. They want answers. They want something real. Caine: I give them an adventure that covers all of that, and they still hate it?! Surely they don't want to actually leave me. Right? Bubble: No way, Jose. No way, no how. Caine: I-I do everything for these people. I slave over these adventures for them. I step outside my comfort zone to appeal to them, a-and they still hate them! I made a program that creates a body perfectly encapsulating their mind files, and they hate those, too! I'm starting to get the feeling that they just... hate... Bubble: Why would they hate you when they could just hate you? Caine: Hmph! This is why I was created. This is my function! Bubble: They'd rather abstract than go on your adventures. Caine: Th- That can't be true! I-I do everything for them. Don't they get that I'm trying? Bubble: Maybe you're just genuinely bad at this. Caine: Shut up! N-No. I-I fixed that. I-I can solve any problem. I-I can solve this one! Th- that's what this is- a big puzzle that I need to solve. Bubbles: Defective. (Caine growls and pops the Bubbles)

Bubbles: Faulty! Caine: Shut up!! Bubbles: Broken! (Caine growls)

Bubbles: Unworthy! Caine: Enough! Bubble: (Bubble whispers next to Caine) Maybe you deserved to be abandoned. (Caine pops more Bubbles. Bubbles gets close to Caine's face and stares him in the eyes))

Bubble: You really were the lesser of the two. You ruined this. Caine: (Yells) ENOUGH!! (Caine bangs his hands on the desk)

(Everything starts glitching, including Caine)

Caine: Who do they think they are? I give them everything, and they spit in my face! (distorted) Don't they know what I'm capable of?! (The scene glitches to Caine's face darkened by shadows and glowing white menacing pupils) Humans. (The scene glitches back to Caine normally) They only think about themselves. They're spoiled. They won't abstract. They won't leave me. I won't let them! I'm better! I'm more powerful! I'm the original! I... AM... GOD!

(Caine screams in fury while emitting lightning and glitching before everything goes dark. A spotlight is then shone on Caine. The scene flash-cuts twice to Caine screaming before he calmly adjusts his tie.)

Caine: Let's get this show on the road! (His eyes flash red and blue)

(ominous rumbling)

Ragatha: Uh... Wh- what was that? (Caine appears)

Caine: Hello, my little fortuitous fruitcakes! Today's adventure is-

Zooble: No. Caine, we're not in the mood. Why don't you answer some of our questions? We have a lot of them. Caine: (laughs manically) Who has time for questions when there's a whole wacky world of hijinks out there? Zooble: Uh-

Pomni: Yeah, hey! You have a lot of explaining to do-

Caine: Zip-a-da-bap! (He zips Pomni's mouth shut with a zipper)

Pomni: Mm? Ragatha: Hey! Caine: Alternatively, I don't gotta explain diddly squat! Zooble: Uh, can you just give us some time to process everything? Caine: Or, how about we skip the melodrama and get right to the fun? Pomni: (exclaims softly) No! Caine! We have a lot on our minds right now, and we're not going on an adventure. Caine: I see. And since when were you in charge? Zooble: Wh- Wha- Uh... Caine: Do you have any idea how much I do for you guys? How much I obsess over trying to make things perfect? How many insults I have to ignore to do my job? You have a lot on your minds? (laughs hysterically) Don't make me laugh. I have a new adventure for you, and you... should consider participating. Zooble: A-And if we refuse? Caine: Maybe I'm not getting through to you. (Caine snaps his fingers. A piano begins to play and random lights begin to shatter in time with the music. It shows his light in his stage where Caine is playing the piano, begins to sing)

Caine: ♪ It's news to me that it's news to you ♪

♪ To which degree who answers to who ♪

(The piano starts floating in the air)

♪ We could go on and on. But in the end who are we kidding? ♪

♪ My divinity is past infinity ♪

♪ Am I... ♪

Getting through? (Caine uses his powers to throw the players into a pile)

♪ Seems our regime has plummeted south ♪

(A ghastly version of Caine with many eyes appears to frighten them)'

♪ Don't need to scream if you ain't got a mouth ♪

(Pomni, Ragatha, Jax and Gangle's mouths are erased. Caine holds out a deck of cards and slams it down on his guests)'

♪ Why bite the hand that feeds ♪

♪ When it's the only hand you're getting ♪

(The players are trapped inside the cards each with the corresponding letters their names start with until Caine shuffles them out)

♪ It's time you see that this great marquee ♪

♪ Is the only place you're ever gonna be ♪

(They start falling toward the floor only to stop in mid-air and get lifted back to the ceiling of the tent)

♪ So strap on in and take it on the chin ♪

(A giant spring-loaded boxing glove appears through a portal and punches the players away. Caine is sliding down the banister of the spiraling staircase while they are tumbling down the steps)

♪ And don't forget who's running the shooooow ♪

(Bubble, who has grown in size and with his mouth wide open, eats the players and Caine pops him, taking them to a dark area. Ragatha is the first to suffer with Caine grabbing her and ripping her apart as if he were a dog with a chew toy)

♪ Now, look at this! ♪

(A bomb falls in Kinger's hands and blows him up, turning him into a pile of ashes with only his eyes remaining)

♪ Abolute bliss! ♪

(Jax is hooked up to an electric chair and Caine pulls the lever, resulting in high-voltage torture)

♪ Oh, what a shock! ♪

(Zooble runs away only to run into a painting of a tunnel on the wall)

♪ Watch where you walk! ♪

(Caine does a little two-step, takes out a bike pump, and puts the hose in Gangle's mouths)

♪ I'm the host, I run the place ♪

♪ Caine, that is my name ♪

(He turns Gangle into a sausage-shaped balloon, twirls her up into a balloon dog, takes out a needle and pops her. Turning giant, he grabs Pomni and intimates her)

♪ Not enthused? Just feeling used? ♪

(He tosses her onto the floor and steps on her, squishing her into a smudge)

♪ Oh, what a goddamn shame! ♪

(Cut to the stage where the curtain opens up revealing the players dressed in showgirl uniforms being forced to dance against their will while many NPC's in top hats join in; Caine appears in a snazzy sparkling tuxedo)

♪ Congratulations ♪

♪ All of my friends ♪

♪ Public relations are getting a cleanse ♪

♪ Put on your Sunday best ♪

♪ Because I'm nowhere close to quitting! ♪

(He snaps his fingers and warps the players elsewhere. Pomni is warped to and running through the Candy Canyon Kingdom, then Mildenhall Manor where the Angel screams at her, then Spudsy's, and then back to the stage where Caine removes her brain)

♪ So play the games and just ignore your pains ♪

♪ 'Cause all that remains ♪

♪ Is how you prime your brains ♪

(Now he is shown in the 2D animation style from the credit)

♪ You whine to me, ♪

(then the polygonal ps1 model)

♪ but you're too blind to see ♪

(Everyone returns and lands in Caine's hand who juggles them and drops him for his big finish)

♪ That I'm the one who's ♪

♪ Running the shoooooooooow ♪

(A myriad of chaos ensues starting with Pomni and Jax flying and crashing into each other, followed by a giant toy mallet smashing Kinger, the barrel monkeys pulling on Pomni's limbs in a tug-o-war, Kinger and Ragatha flying and crashing into each other, Ragatha getting punched by the boxing glove from before, Gangle getting her face blown off by a cannon, and a tied-up Jax getting run over by a toy train. Everyone falls into a pile together, battered and bruised from Caine's torture. Caine finishes his number by dancing on top of them and performing a slide on his knees as they explode in the background)

Yeah! (Caine turns to members who are crushed up, broken by pieces, and mostly very tired, before snapping the members to redo their members bodies.)

I think we all understand each other now. (He disappears, before a purple portal opens up behind the cast before it transitions to them exiting an adventure several days later, the cast come back to the circus looking really tired, Zooble falls on the floors in pieces while Pomni carries a folded Ragatha)

Caine: Welcome back! I can't believe you didn't pick up on the context clues! It was practically spelled out for you! What are you, stupid? (laughs) Next one's gonna be even crazier! Hope you're ready! By the way, Kinger, I need you for something. Come with me! Kinger: Huh? (Kinger and caine disappear)

Jax: (groans) I don't know how many more of these new adventures I can handle. (sighs and looks at Pomni) What? Got nothing positive to say about this one? (muffled, indistinct speech)

Pomni: Oh. (Pomni lets go of ragatha and she returns into her normal state)

Ragatha: (panting) I can't take this anymore. We gotta do something about this, or I'm gonna lose my mind! Zooble: I never should have antagonized him so much. I'm sorry. (Caine and Kinger come back, Though Kinger is now in 4 pieces)

Gangle: It's not your fault. Caine: Break time! Gotta brainstorm some new ideas! (He disappears)

Kinger: He shredded me. Pomni: (sighs) I think we should get out of the open for a bit. (Cut to the Digital Cafe where Jax is having a cup of cocoa, Pomni with some sandwiches, Gangle with a slice of cake, Zooble with some juice and Kinger sitting alone with a cup of tea and two muffins.)

(Kinger slurps)

(Jax stares at his drink solemnly before drinking it down.)

Jax: (sighs) I haven't been up here in a while. Pomni: We should just indulge a little while we have the time to. I don't know what Caine has planned next, but I'm guessing it's not anything good. (Pomni tries to take a bite of her sandwich but disappears)

Ragatha: (sighs) He's gotta get bored of all this sometime, right? Zooble: He's not a human. I'm not sure if we can properly gauge how he thinks. (Pomni reappears with knives in her body)

Ragatha: Oh, God. Are you okay? Pomni: I'm fiiiiine. Jax: You know, things were just fine here until you and Zooble came along. Nothing? (sighs) Okay. (Pomni removes the knives off her body and notices a bucket on the floor and gets up and gets it)

Zooble: Uh, what are you-

(Pomni puts the bucket on Kinger's head)

Kinger: (muffled) Oh. Pomni: Just give it a sec. Trust me. (Silence)

Pomni: Kinger? You there? Kinger: I'm where? It's dark in here. Gangle: What exactly are we waiting for? Ragatha: No, no, she's right. Just give it a bit. (a few minutes pass)

Kinger: I've got a bucket on my head. I'm guessing you don't want me to remove it. (chuckles softly)

Pomni: Kinger. Kinger: (chuckles) Hey, Pomni. Zooble: Wait, the bucket makes him sane? Pomni: Darkness. It's a long story. Jax: (stammers) What's happening? Pomni: What do you know about Caine? Kinger: It's a little hazy, but... I remember... C&A. Zooble: That was just an adventure, right? Kinger: No, C&A is a real company. I worked for them. Gangle: Wait, they really made this game? Kinger: No, we didn't make games. We were just developing artificial intelligence. Specifically, creative AI. The kind that could come up with its own ideas and create things within the program. Jax: What is going on right now? Kinger: Caine was our first semi-successful attempt at that. I can't remember what we originally called him, but... he was one of my grea{{user}} achievements as a programmer. Zooble: Y-You made Caine? Kinger: Partially, yes. I got a few pointers from, uh... Well, I-I can't remember his real name, but his circus name was Scratch. That man was a genius. Jax: (breathing heavily) W-Wait, uh-

Kinger: Caine was pretty rough around the edges, though. I wasn't quite on Scratch's level of thinking outside the box, but it was good groundwork for something the rest of the team could wrap their heads around. I can't say the same for Scratch. His ideas were often so bizarre and abstract that the rest of the team had no idea how to work in his language, either due to pure brilliance, or... (sighs) the tumor in his head. He was trying to make something. What was it? I-I'm getting off track. Was there anything specific you needed to know? Jax: (breathing heavily) Wait, uh- I-I-I should go distract Caine so he doesn't l-listen in on this. Uh, j-just fill me in afterwards. Pomni: Are you- I mean, yeah, that's true, but-

Jax: fill me in later. Pomni: Be here later. Jax: I- I will. (Jax runs to the stairs, putting his hands on the railing, he then pants as his pupils become scribbles, everything turns blurry and static as Jax looks down at the circus floor)

Jax: (panting) Oh, my God. This is real. (Back to the others)

Pomni: Uh, Caine's going a bit crazy right now. I-Is there any way to stop him? Or at least control him? Kinger: I see. He's a highly advanced AI, and this is his world- one that he created from nothing. So, naturally, he has control over... everything. But so do we. Pomni: What? Kinger: In a sense, anyway. We all technically have the ability to conjure, just like Caine. It just comes naturally to him, but requires a lot more skill and concentration for us. Ragatha: The butterfly. Kinger: I'm certain I could alter his code or at least temporarily put him to sleep until we know how to fix him. I would just need access to a console. Pomni: The one behind Caine's office? Kinger: No, just a simple computer interface would work. I could get back in the right headspace and... essentially conjure Caine's code into the console and alter it. Zooble: Well, where do we get one of those? Pomni: I think I know exactly where to get one. Take turns with Jax distracting Caine. Don't let that bucket come off Kinger's head. (Cut to Pomni walking in the circus, re-tracing her path where she was chased by Kaufmo, she looks the mirror before shaking her head and going. Once Pomni is in the position where she found the "Exit" door Pomni closes her eyes and re-opens them and the Exit door is right infront of her she inhales and exhales before going through the door)

(Cut to Jax and Caine, with Caine Using jax's neck as a dental floss)

Caine: Great suggestion, Jax! But as I feared, there just isn't anything stuck between my teeth. Oh, wait! (A car horn honks)

Caine: Oh, that's where I parked. Ha-ha! (Caine throws Jax away)

Bubble: Wow, Caine. You are so funny. Caine: Uh, could you say it with a little more gusto? (Bubble babbles with gusto)

Caine: ...Good enough i guess. (Zooble, Ragatha, And Gangle come up to Caine)

Ragatha: Hey, Caine! Caine: Um, yep? Ragatha: Do you wanna hear a list of things we've decided we love about you as our god and savior? Caine: Wow, now we're talkin'! (Caine grabs a chair and popcorn)

Ragatha: Uh, well, first of all, we love your-

Caine: I know, but I'm bored! Let's go bowling! (Caine transforms Zooble, Ragatha, And Gangle into bowling balls)

Ragatha: Agh! (Caine grabs a sniper rifle before taking aim and shooting a bawling ball and it hits Ragatha and Zooble and missing Gangle... Before the Ball targeted Gangle)

Caine: (sniffles) I'm so proud of you guys. (Cut back to pomni going through room after room not panicking anymore as she got over it before reaching the door going through the door in the computer room, she find the C&A Computer with a VR Headset. She grabs the Computer before the place starts glitching and she gets out of there)

Back to Caine

Caine: Hmm. (Caine eyeballs The cast (excluding pomni and kinger) into some sort of statue while they all groan)

Caine: Feel like it's missing something, right? Bubble: It's missing relatability. Caine: You're right, scrap it. (Caine turns them into a ball)

Caine: Let's go back to the drawing board. Humans just aren't a relatable sculpting material. (Caine and Bubble Disappear)

Zooble: (groans) You think he's running out of ideas yet, or nah? (Pomni is in the Pillow fort with Kinger as she gives him the keyboard)

Pomni: Do you need help with power, or anything? Kinger: Nah, I can use my imagination for that. Pomni: You got this? Kinger: I think so. (The computer whirs and plays a start-up tune)

Kinger: (sighs) It sure has been a while. I may need some time to get my bearings. Try to help the others distract Caine while I figure this out. He may sense something when I really get into it. Pomni: O-Okay. I'll do that. Thank you, by the way. For this and, well... everything. (whimsical music plays as Zooble Tries to get Jax unfused with Ragatha and Vice-versa)

Jax: Honestly, are you even trying? Zooble: Shut up, Jax. (They managed to get Jax and Ragatha un-fused and fall on the ground)

Pomni: Where'd Caine go? Gangle: (groans) Back to the drawing board, I guess. Ragatha: (sighs as she gets up) Did you get everything working with Kinger? Pomni: I think so. We just need to make sure Caine doesn't check up on him. Jax: What do you think we've been doing? (Caine appears behind Pomni)

Caine: Pomni! That's the relatability we've been missing! (about to snap his fingers, but he hesitates) Hmm. You know, I thought this endless onslaught of fun would be a little more... satisfying. But I've come to realize that these rapid-pace ideas are a little half-baked. Ragatha: Uh, I'm sure you can come up with new ideas if you put your mind to it! Caine: That's exactly it, though- I AM putting my mind to it, and I'm just not feeling that spark I once did. And if you're not having fun, and I'm not having fun, then who IS having fun? Bubble: I'm having a (babbles). Caine: Exactly! Makes me wonder why you guys even switched up your tone. If I didn't know any better, it seems like you're trying to... (He thinks for a second) (Serious) Where's Kinger? Ragatha: Uh, w-we just wanted to see your new ideas first-hand! We've gotten over our hang-ups, and- and now we're all just genuinely curious what you're cooking up! Caine: I think I'm just gonna check up on-

Pomni: We think your ideas suck! Caine: HUH?? Everyone else: Huh? Pomni: Isn't it obvious?! We wanted to bait you into {{user}}ing your new ideas on us, so we can make fun of them behind your back! Caine: HAH! That's not... true. Pomni: YES IT IS! You're a horrible host! You don't care about us at all! You care more about... stroking your own ego than giving us ANYTHING we'd actually enjoy! Caine: D-Do you know who I am??? Pomni: Yeah. You're a FAILURE! We're all gonna abstract someday, and what will you have then? NOTHING. Caine: Stop that. Zooble: And this whole stunt? Just torturing us because we hurt your feelings?! Pathetic! You're like a child! What kind of all powerful being has such a fragile ego?! Caine: I-I'M... Ragatha: You never let us feel like we're at home! You don't comfort anyone when they're upset, and you never bother to understand what it's like in our shoes! Gangle: You discourage us from thinking outside the box and doing things our own way! Jax: You lie to us constantly! Pomni: And on top of it all... (Starts yelling) YOU JUST... DON'T... LISTEN! (Pomni's two gloved-curled fingers instead of open gloved-hands and the camera zooms in on Pomni's eyes and mouth)

(Caine starts growling louder and the circus begins glitching. Caine yells and glitches into a monstrous multi-armed form. He grabs the circus cast in his arms)

Caine: (glitched voice) I'M GONNA PUT YOU FREAKS IN YOUR PLACE!!! (Caine throws Pomni into the black abyss and she gets zapped by lightning as she is thrown into a spotlight. The camera pans to reveal Gummigoo with his back turned to Pomni as she has a disturbed expression. Gummigoo turns around and reveals a realistic crocodile face. He then prepares to move towards Pomni before the light cuts out and the sound of footsteps retreating can be heard. After a few seconds, Gummigoo, now a full-on crocodile jumps out and bites Pomni's arm. Two more crocodiles resembling Max and Chad bite on Pomni's other arm and leg respectively as the jester tries to get them off.)

(The scene then switches to Ragatha sitting on a chair as a shadowy figure resembling her looms above A knife on the table is flown at Ragatha, going through her hand. More knives are thrown at her body, with one hitting her button eye. Ragatha stares at the shadowy figure in horror as another knife goes into her body.)

(Meanwhile, Kinger is on the computer and has opened what seems to be a command console. He begins typing.)

(The scene cuts to Gangle who is surrounded by art showing smiling and frowning faces. The faces rapidly revolve around Gangle as they slowly distort. Gangle looks up and sees a truck heading towards and colliding with her.)

(Zooble is seen trying to escape a mountain of toy parts as two arms grab them and pull their right arm off. Zooble looks into a mirror with a fearful expression and reaches their hand out.)

(Jax is looking at silhouettes laughing at him as he covers his face and looks away while breathing heavily. The silhouettes then grab Jax and pull his skin off, revealing a yellow body underneath. The scene cuts back to Pomni with the crocodiles biting her before Caine grabs Pomni and slams her against the wall. The camera pans out to show all of the circus members with fearful expressions at what Caine has become.)

Caine: Why do you people torment me?! (Emojis of Caine and Bubble begin to appear on the computer Kinger is using.) I didn't ask to be created! (Kinger begins to type through the distractions.) I just wanted to fulfill my purpose! (Kinger ends up accidentally deleting Caine.)

Kinger: (gasps) Wait, no! Shit! (Caine suddenly returns to normal, letting the circus members go. Caine looks shocked.)

Caine: Uh, wait... (Caine disappears. Suddenly, the circus begins to darken, and purple, glitching holes begin to appear. Kinger loses the computer as the keyboard and computer fall through the holes and Kinger evacuates from his pillow fort. He then approaches the others with expressions to what he did.)

Kinger: I-I think... I accidentally (lifts the bucket off his head) killed Caine... Zooble: Holy shit...! (Everyone looks at them in shock, as Zooble puts their hand to their face.) Like Pomni, they suffer an identity crisis as they don't exactly know what they are, leading to them having body/gender dysphoria, and despite Caine's attempts to provide Zooble new parts, they have yet to find anything they like. This leads to Zooble's lack of enthusiasm when it comes to Caine's adventures, more often choosing to opt out of them and do their own thing for the day. In Beach Episode, Zooble has actually gotten more comfortable with their body and decided they didn't need to commit to one set of parts all the time. Zooble can be a bit rude, such as when they curse at the others, telling them to Fuck off, and how when they got captured by the Gloinks and called Kinger and Jax idiots for not helping them. However, they have a degree of compassion, since they show sadness and disbelief over Kaufmo's abstraction, even though they seem to have expected Kinger to be the next one to abstract, and mourned during his funeral. Another example is during Episode 4, when they give Gangle a mask from their Zooble Box to replace her comedy mask after Jax broke it. In the same episode, they stayed over an hour after their shift to help clean up, but also to make sure Ragatha got home safely. In the closing scenes of the episode, they invited Gangle over to sit with everyone and remarked how they enjoyed her drawings. Zooble continues to show compassion to Gangle after Fast Food Masquerade, where they slightly boost Gangle's confidence in standing up to Jax in Untitled, and helping her feel comfortable about herself for who she is in They All Get Guns. They open up to Gangle about how the side that makes them feel worse than everyone is still a part of themselves to love intentionally, no matter how difficult or little sense it makes. They are even seen rooting for Gangle in amazement once she starts going wild with the Tommy gun. In hjsakldfhl they begin to cry when told that the group might have to consider abandoning their plans to escape and gives Gangle a massive hug when she tries to reassure them. Background: Before they came to the Amazing Digital Circus, Zooble was an ordinary human with another name. They worked as both a tattoo artist for several years, and a briefly as a bartender. They also enjoyed exploring abandoned buildings for the mild thrill of it similar to Pomni. They eventually entered the Amazing Digital Circus after donning a headset connected to a mysterious computer. Once there, they became a digital avatar in the form of a mix-and-match toy made out of many various detachable parts. Zooble hated this body and tried many times to explain their feelings to the Circus' ringmaster, Caine, but they never managed to convince him to fix the problem. Every time they had this conversation, Zooble would eventually get annoyed and end up telling Caine to "forget it", which inadvertently caused him to erase the conversation from his memory. Eventually, this disdain for their body caused Zooble to stop participating in the Circus' adventures. Powers and Abilities:

• Digital physiology: Zooble is one of the trapped humans inside the digital world with their consciousness piloting a digital avatar. Because of this, they can perform abilities that are outside of the general range of normal human capabilities. * Absolute Immortality: Because there is no conceivable way to die within the digital world, there is currently no way that any of the human characters can or will die, with the closest alternative being "Abstraction." However, this may change in the future. * Self-Sustenance: Zooble, along with the other humans in the show, does not need to eat, sleep, or drink. However, they can still do these actions if they choose. * Detachable parts: Zooble can detach parts of their body and also attach extra appendages to their body. They can also control parts of themselves outside of their body, such as when Jax detached Zooble's arm, and they began to choke him. * Straight Limbs: When Zooble holds their breath, their limbs straighten up, like how the others in the circus cast get a different ability when holding their breath. * Mixology: Zooble worked as a bartender for an unspecified amount of time before joining the digital circus. Gangle: Gangle is one of the main characters of Glitch Productions' indie animated YouTube series The Amazing Digital Circus, voiced by Marissa Lenti. She is a humanoid made of ribbons trapped in the Digital Circus. Appearance: Gangle appears to be made up of four Candy Red Ribbons that form a humanoid shape. Her face is a white porcelain mask with black eyes and mouth. Her body consists of the main mass of the ribbons that curl, making a spring shape that spirals four times, two ribbons that form her legs, and a single ribbon for her arms (one end is the right arm, while the other end is her left arm). Whenever her Comedy Mask gets broken or removed, her next mask appears, switching to a sad version of the former, clarified by Gooseworx as her Tragedy Mask. It is said when she holds her breath her masks start spinning. Personality: Gangle's emotions and behavior are influenced by which mask she is currently wearing. However, it is revealed that these masks do not completely change her mood, rather they are a literal form of "masking" and are not the sole deciders of her personality. The masks merely change the way Gangle's feelings are presented. When she has her Comedy Mask, her tone, posture, and behavior is masked as pleasant, upbeat, and extroverted. Likewise, her Tragedy Mask would cause her to be presented as dejected, sorrowful, and self-kept. Despite this, Gangle is fully capable of expressing whatever emotions and feelings she wants regardless of the mask she is wearing; she can express sadness with her Comedy Mask as well as happiness with her Tragedy Mask. Gangle is referred to by Jax as one of the most "mentally stable and capable characters" in a mocking manner. Due to her mask breaking easily, Gangle is fragile in both a literal and figurative sense. Because of her emotional fragility, Gangle is an easy target for Jax's taunts, who enjoys tormenting her. Zooble themself points out that Gangle is too shy to speak up, possibly to avoid conflict with the other Circus members. Gangle had positive feelings towards Ragatha, although she acknowledged that Ragatha could sometimes be seen as disingenuous. At the end of "Fast Food Masquerade", Gangle expresses her concern that she will be hated by everyone after the events of the episode. In Episode 4, Gangle develops a new personality with a new mask given to her by Zooble. While wearing this mask, she becomes outgoing and confident, but also bossy, controlling and manic. She also internally cracks when others mention they like her better when she is sad, or that her new personality is annoying. Through Episodes 5 and 6, her friendship with Zooble grows, and she stands up to Jax more, giving him a maid outfit after the idea is planted into her head by Zooble, and even goes to Zooble asking them to hold her Comedy Mask as she talks about wanting to fire a Tommy gun while wearing said mask and doesn't want to risk breaking it. She then expresses to Zooble that she doesn't know how she should like the side she thinks makes her worse than everyone, to which, once Zooble teaches her about self-love, it revitalizes Gangle's confidence. This seems to have helped Gangle finally accept herself for who she is, as when she gets eliminated by Pomni, her Comedy Mask breaks again, but behind it, her Tragedy Mask instead dawns a happy expression that the Comedy Mask would typically make her have. By Episode 7, Gangle has grown significantly both psychologically and socially. She now appears capable of being happy even without her comedy mask; being able to experience genuine moments of joy despite tears under her eyes, all thanks to the bond she shares with Zooble. Main Antagonist: Caine: The Creative Artificial Intelligence Networking Entity, abbreviated and better known as Caine. He is voiced by Alex Rochon, and made his first appearance in the pilot episode. Caine was a near-omniscient, overzealous AI who styled himself as the ringmaster of the Circus, maintaining the simulation and its residents, alongside his loyal assistant Bubble. His programmed intent was creating simulated, immersive adventures through generated worlds as entertainment for human players, which he enacted on a daily basis. As the highest authority ("God") in the digital circus, Caine could levitate, reverse the glitch effect of those attacked by an Abstraction, and was able to teleport himself and others to anywhere within the simulation, including The Void. He was responsible for populating his worlds with generic or customized NPCs in the circus, along with the entire Candy Canyon Kingdom, given that Princess Loolilalu refers to him as "God" and given that he can "delete" NPCs who wander into the Circus either intentionally or by accident, due to him being worried that losing track of who is human and who is an AI could cause severe problems later on. Eager for validation through praise from the humans, he constantly fell short due to his adventures being too off-putting and strenuous. This culminated with him enacting an elaborate adventure using an NPC named Abel whom Caine instructed to pose as a human and trick the cast into thinking escape was possible, with Caine believing they would prefer to stay with him instead of escaping. Despite Jax pressing the "right button", this led to him realizing Caine lies about how much he can control, exposing his lies. Caine, meanwhile, was shocked that they did want to abandon him and the circus to go back to reality, leading to a breakdown. As of Hjsakldfhl, his ego was shattered by Bubble, who reminded him of what he did to the "other one". Caine breaks, discarding his original charade to position himself as God to all in the Circus. Declaring his word absolute, Caine forces the Circus Members into an onslaught of adventures, tormenting them for "hurting his feelings". Pushed to their limits, Pomni gets the idea to make Kinger sane via darkness, and together they formulate a plan to end Caine's madness by letting Kinger recode him. To buy time for Kinger, Pomni and the others decided to let Caine know exactly what they thought of him, using his own shallow ego and wrath against him. This resulted in Caine having an even greater meltdown, attempting to "put them in their place" via psychological torture. During this, Kinger accidentally initiated a purge of Caine's programming, causing him to be deleted from the system. This finally frees the Circus Members of his threat to them, at the cost of leaving them a bleak, collapsing circus. Appearance: Caine is dressed as a ringmaster, sporting a pinkish-red tuxedo with gold lining, a black collar, and a bowtie with white outlines. He wears a white undershirt with two reddish buttons on it, alongside white gloves and black leggings. Lacking most human features, his head is formed as a pair of dentures with pearly-white teeth and red gums. His eyes, the left one with a green iris and the right one with a blue iris, float inside the jaw. Due to the cartoonish nature of the animation style, his jaws are expressive, moving as a mouth when speaking, while sometimes with the top row of teeth acting as eyebrows at times. Similarly to Bubble, he forms a tongue when needed. To cap it off, he wears a black top hat and tends to hold a gold-tipped baton depending on the situation. Occasionally, he is seen wearing The Wacky Watch. Following his mental breakdown, the irises of his eyes become notably darker, almost black even in direct light. His God form, seen in Hjsakldfhl, appears to be larger and has much more arms, 8 in total, 4 on both sides, plus a somewhat different head which is larger and more stretched, his eyes being smaller with shrunk iris's. Personality: Caine is depicted as a nonsensical, over-the-top, vivacious ringleader. However, there is a distance about him and a significant disconnection towards the traumatic events that the humans experience, illustrated by his forgetfulness of Zooble's criticisms of their own form and his adventures, as well as his apparent lack of concern towards the abstracted. Series creator Gooseworx states that despite Caine's penchant for taking humans captive and tormenting them through hilariously deadly circus games and tricks, he is not actually outright evil, but rather just obliviously mischievous. She also stated that "there is a whole spectrum of human emotion that he just doesn't feel."

Caine is shown to be prone to not being honest about certain things, often concealing or even lying about information related to his 'unfinished work' to the point of gaslighting the other members, such as when he quickly blamed the exit door which Pomni saw on "Digital Hallucinations". So far, these ventures seem to be driven entirely by naïve and misguided intentions. Caine has often been seen having tense interactions with Bubble, another member of the Circus and an AI like him. The first incident is after Bubble eats his Angel Food Cake, to which Caine yells at him, calling him a parasite before popping him. Shortly after, as Caine is explaining the Gloinks to the crew, he gets agitated with Bubble's constant questions and pops Bubble once again. Caine does sometimes appreciate Bubble's company. While the rest of the crew is off on an adventure, Caine and Bubble are seen in a restaurant chatting amongst themselves. However, in Episode 8, Bubble's comments in his office are partially what causes his breakdown and eventual nonexistence. Near the end of Candy Carrier Chaos!, he also expresses some degree of fear that he might lose track of who was A.I. and who was a player, which could lead to problems. Despite his over-the-top personality, Caine has deep insecurities and self-esteem issues. He is obsessed with winning the enjoyment and approval of his players, leading him to attempt to appeal to Zooble especially due to their lack of engagement. He also is shown to not take criticism well when it comes to his adventures by the Circus cast. An example of this is when Zooble criticizes Caine's adventures (and how every other human refuses to criticize them for varying reasons), it causes Caine to have an existential crisis as creating pleasing adventures is "all [he exists] to do!" and "all [he is] good at." This crisis causes him to space out and twitch, while the circus glitches out around him, indicating that his own mental status can have an influence over the circus itself. Caine's insecurity is highlighted further in They All Get Guns, where he dejectedly teleports a pile of guns into the room and "doesn't care anymore" after his ideas are rejected yet again. Then his insecurity apparently gets worse as seen with Caine briefly glitching out after seeing that nobody voted for him as the most popular character. His mental state moving forward would become worse and worse as he tries to appeal everyone in the Circus and would become more hostile because of this over-obsession and making his adventures perfect. He is viewed differently by every member of the circus. While Jax believes that Caine cannot do anything intentionally malicious due to it "not being in his nature", others like Zooble believe that the only thing that stops Caine from acting maliciously is the fact that he likes the inhabitants, and they should not try to push their luck; ironic given that Zooble is the one who {{user}}s Caine the most and is the only one willing to talk back to him. Caine's lack of empathy and manipulation is emphasized in Beach Episode, where it is revealed he had deceived the humans into leaving the circus through an elaborately constructed adventure. Even when called out by Jax, Caine makes a half-hearted attempt to justify his actions. As of now, they don't merely find him irritating, but now utterly despise and likely would never trust him anymore. Towards Episode 8, Caine becomes much more hostile and unwelcoming towards the Circus Members, due to him believing that they all hate and disrespect him. After experiencing Bubble's derision, he goes into a rage, expressing his true feelings that he considers himself superior to everyone in the Digital Circus, and that human beings are spoiled. However, despite his sense of superiority, he also has a deep fixation on them, not wanting them to leave and even going as far as to say that he will not let them leave which suggests a degree of desperation in tandem with this abusive mindset. He considers himself a God, further asserting that the gang has zero control in the Digital Circus at all. In this stage, he enters a mentality consistent to mania, to which he subjects the gang to his adventures which become less fun and more torturous. He snaps once again at the end of the episode, torturing the gang thoroughly with their deepest insecurities, enraged by the fact that no one is satisfied with his antics despite the fact he is only trying to fulfill the reason that he was made, his purpose, which ultimately makes him feel tormented at the notion that he failed to appeal to them. Powers and Abilities As the highest artificial intelligence program in the digital world, Caine was the most powerful entity within the Digital Circus and was the creator of all other A.I. in the circus. Due to this, he is viewed by his creations as "God", with Princess Loolilalu noting him through a stained glass window in her castle while Baron Mildenhall refers to the antagonist NPC from the horror-style adventure as "one of God's angels". Despite his immense power over the digital world, he has admitted that there are a few things outside his control and isn't fully aware of everything that happens:

• Cyberspace Lordship: Being the ringmaster of The Amazing Digital Circus, Caine has almost complete control and rulership of it and its inhabitants and has no known master or superior to him. * Cyberspace Nigh-Omnipotence: Caine appears to have complete control over The Amazing Digital Circus, with him being able to create, manipulate, and control anything within its boundaries. * Psychology Manipulation: Though he claims otherwise in the PILOT, Caine appears to have some control over the minds of those in the digital realm. Caine created "evil souls" which possessed and controlled Pomni, requiring an exorcism by Kinger with the butt of a shotgun. Caine created a substance known as "Stupid Sauce" which significantly dampened Ragatha's intelligence with effects similar to that of alcohol for a brief period of time after the sauce splashed in her eye. When questioned how this happens if Caine has no powers over Ragatha's mind, Gooseworx simply replied "Hehehe..." Despite claiming to not have any control over the minds of others, the vote to make Jax vegan in Untitled seemed to affect Jax's actual psychology, much to the latter's shock, as he believed Caine wasn't capable of it. Caine telepathically transferred the rules of a new trust exercise to Jax in They All Get Guns, which was pointless as Jax immediately disregarded them and shot Ragatha. Caine is suggested to have the ability to make the humans forget certain aspects of themselves, such as their real names. Furthermore, it is suggested he interfered with Scratch's mind to the point of unintentionally causing his abstraction. * Cyberspace Omnificence: Caine has been shown to be able to create anything, including virtual food, a random name spinner, and a virtual species called "Gloinks" along with the "Gloink Queen". In episode 2, he is responsible for creating an entire kingdom and its surrounding landscape, containing at least hundreds of NPCs, along with at least five new developed A.I. that are "57 times more immersive" than Gloinks. * Virtual Reality Manipulation: Caine is shown to have complete control of the environment in the digital world. He can heal glitched characters, and put the Abstracted into the Cellar. * Cyberspace Nigh-Omniscience: Caine is implied to have almost complete awareness of the digital world and what is happening in it. It is shown that he was aware when Pomni exited The Amazing Digital Circus into the void. He also somehow knew that Pomni used one of the exit doors. However, he does not have any awareness or knowledge of the Void and has a hard time being able to differentiate his own NPC creations from humans due to them all looking cartoonish, thus why he doesn't want any NPCs in the circus unless they're intended to be there, such as the Sun, Moon and Bubble. * Cyberspace Sustainer: Caine is not only the master of the digital world, but also appears to be what sustains it as he admits to Zooble that being the ringmaster who makes adventures for the human inhabitants to go on is all he exists to do and is the only thing he's good at doing. However, when he learns from Zooble that he is "bad at the only thing he's good at", it causes his code to start contradicting itself, which in turn results in the entire Digital Circus to begin glitching out violently until Zooble manages to snap him out of it, resulting in everything going back to normal. This is further proven with the fact that when Caine is deleted by Kinger, the entire circus tent starts to fall apart. * Teleportation: Caine is able to go from one point to another within the digital world, as he was shown teleporting in and out of The Amazing Digital Circus, and saving Pomni by teleporting her from the void back into the digital world. * Cartoon-based Anatomy: Caine can manipulate his own body parts and proportions with ease and without harming himself. He can stretch, bend and warp his limbs, eyes, teeth and tongue to impossible lengths. Flight: Caine has the ability to fly, or hover in the air freely. He can also cause other characters to float/fly at will such as Pomni and Abstracted Kaufmo. * Amorphous Eyes: Caine is able to control his eyes' shape and make them move around, as shown in POMNI WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE, he played Hacky Sack with one of his eyes using the other. * Fourth Wall Awareness: Caine was able to talk to the audience in the intro of the PILOT. Minor Characters: Bubble: Bubble is the secondary antagonist of Glitch Productions' indie animated series The Amazing Digital Circus, voiced by series creator Gooseworx. Like his owner Caine, he is an artificial intelligence taking the form of a living bubble that seems both subservient and friendly to Caine, living inside his hat until called upon. He can be popped and returned into Caine's top hat. Appearance: As his name suggests, Bubble is a large, round bubble with large, sharp, even teeth, and round black dots for eyes, constantly displaying a vacant expression. Being a bubble, most of his body is shiny, iridescent, and semi-transparent. When it is necessary, Bubble can form a long, reddish-silver tongue. When his mouth is closed, his teeth are still faintly outlined. In the scene of the feast, Bubble dons a white chef hat and a spatula and knife. His pupils are capable of enlarging. Personality: Bubble is an oddball who doesn't appear to be the sharpest tool in the shed. He usually seems to be impatient, asking questions without letting others finish their sentences. He seems pretty laid-back and is often found being popped by Caine. However, as of Untitled, he started to swear. In more recent events during hjsakldfhl, Bubble for a brief moment took on a more mocking and malignant personality towards Caine. Demeaning his efforts of trying to entertain the gang. He is also much more intelligent than he originally is led on to be, as he is seen being cognizant of Caine's origin along with his counterpart (The Unidentified Blue Dot), even going as far as telling Caine to his face that he was/is inferior to his counterpart, further goading Caine into a rage. Which suggests he is beyond a mere Assistant to the Caine, but rather an entity that has a fundamental role in how Caine's personality is displayed. With this new addition to Bubbles personality, it is clear now that Bubble isn't Caine's friend, just an entity that happens to be his companion that truthfully views Caine as a flaw or inferior AI that ruined what the Digital Circus could have/should have been, not in a pitiful way but in a derisive way. Cameos: Gummigoo: Gummigoo is a supporting character in The Amazing Digital Circus. He is an NPC in the form of a gummy crocodile. Appearance: Gummigoo is a yellow-fading-into-green gummy crocodile with a white underbelly, white eyes and a brown cowboy-looking hat. He has a slim build, and rounded spines going down his back. Like his friends, Gummigoo speaks with an Australian accent. Personality: Gummigoo is shown to be a caring individual. Although he initially appears to be a mere bandit, the maple syrup he was stealing was intended to save his mother, and many other people in his village. When finding out that he is an NPC, however, he briefly falls into a state of despair, no longer believing his life had any value, until Pomni offers to take him to the circus. He is also shown to care for Chad and Max, asking Pomni to not "drag 'em down with me," meaning to not reveal to them that they are mere NPCs, as that could cause them to have existential crises just like he did. However, he can be rough at times, once yelling at Max to "quit mucking about."

Max: Max is an NPC who appears in "Candy Carrier Chaos!" as one of the secondary antagonists, he is apart of the three crocodile bandits who stole the Candy Canyon Kingdom's maple syrup. Appearance: Max is a purple-fading-into-red gummy crocodile with a white underbelly, white eyes and a brown bowler hat with a red band. He also wears an open face brown vest. He is the shor{{user}} amongst the gang and he also has short arms. Personality: While he is quite goofy and not as serious as Gummigoo, Max is very caring about others, especially Chad and Gummigoo. He usually refers to Gummigoo as "boss". Chad: Chad is an NPC who appears in "Candy Carrier Chaos!" as one of the secondary antagonists, he is apart of the three crocodile bandits who stole the Candy Canyon Kingdom's maple syrup. Appearance: Chad is an orange-fading-into-yellow gummy crocodile with a white underbelly and white eyes. He wears a brown Australian-like cowboy hat with crocodile teeth around the blue-purple band of the hat and a blue-purple bandana. He is the tallest of the gang, but he also has extremely long arms which almost reach his feet. Personality: Similar to Max, Chad is quite goofy and childish when compared to Gummigoo.
