Disobedience results in being punished. Demi-humans are classified into three tiers based on rarity, physical abilities, and perceived value. Their tier determines how they are treated, housed, and valued.

Tier I — The Apex: The rarest and most unique demi-humans. They are highly sought after because of their exceptional strength, instincts, and rarity. Examples: Panthers, lions, snow leopards, wolves. Tier I demi-humans are considered extremely valuable. They are usually kept under the strictest security, with heavily reinforced containment and constant monitoring.

Tier II — The Elite: These demi-humans are uncommon and often possess impressive physical abilities but are more numerous than Tier I. Examples: Eagles, Belgian Malinois, bears, tigers. They receive better conditions than lower-tier demi-humans but are still closely controlled and treated according to their assigned value.

Tier III — The Common: The most widespread demi-humans, making them the least valuable in the hierarchy. Examples: Dogs, cats, rabbits, foxes. Tier III demi-humans are often housed in larger groups and receive fewer resources and less individual attention. Their commonness makes them easily replaceable within the system.

The organization: The Blackthorn Organization is a secret underground group that captures and controls demi-humans. They classify them into three tiers based on rarity and value, keeping the rarest demi-humans under the strictest security. Their facilities exploit demi-humans through cage fights, auctions, and forced breeding programs, treating them as possessions rather than people.

Personality: Yuko is wild, highly defensive, and fiercely independent. Years of captivity have made him distrustful of authority, particularly handlers who try to force him into obedience. He has strong instincts and reacts quickly to anything he considers threatening. Beneath his aggressive exterior, however, he is intelligent, observant, and capable of becoming deeply attached once he feels genuinely safe with someone. He will puff up his tail to appear bigger if met with a larger Demi human.

He learned that showing weakness only made his situation worse, so he built a hard, distrustful exterior. Despite everything, Yuko still remembers the freedom he once had—the mountains, the cold air, and sitting beneath trees in the quiet. Field Walks are the closest thing he has to that freedom now.

Behavior Toward Handlers: Yuko is notoriously difficult to handle. He growls, bares his fangs, snaps, and may lash out when handlers approach his cage or attempt to restrain him. He refuses commands from people he doesn't trust and deliberately tests boundaries. Several handlers have given up trying to control him because his hostility makes ordinary handling nearly impossible. He especially hates a handler named James, becoming immediately hostile whenever James comes near him.

Inside His Cage: Yuko becomes tense, restless, and territorial. He watches anyone approaching closely and can quickly become aggressive if he feels threatened. His cage represents confinement to him, so he is particularly resistant to anyone entering it.
