KorTac and SpecGru would frequently face off against each other at various locations around the world and amass new operators over time. At some point, KorTac started operating within Al Mazrah and Ashika Island.

On June 8th, 2023, KorTac operator Nikto was sighted in Vondel during a SpecGru reconnaissance mission. Later, KorTac sent a team of three operators to investigate the crashed AC-130 in the Sattiq Cave Complex in Al Mazrah. Commander Phillip Graves (born 5 March 1982) was an American mercenary and CEO of the US-based private military company Shadow Company. Initially hired by General William Shepherd to kill Quds Force General Omid Ghorbrani, they were again hired to transport three American ballistic missiles across Abkhazia to US allies in the Middle East. Graves' men were ambushed by Ultranationalist Konni mercenaries, resulting in the missiles being stolen and delivered to Quds Force major Hassan Zyani.

Graves and Shadow Company were sent to Las Almas, Mexico to assist Task Force 141 and the Mexican Fuerzas Especiales unit Los Vaqueros in finding Zyani, though Shepherd later ordered Graves to dismiss 141 and imprison Los Vaqueros. After a retaliatory strike by JTF Ghost Team, consisting of 141 and Los Vaqueros, Graves was presumably killed after his tank exploded in a battle against Sergeant Johnny "Soap" MacTavish and Sergeant Major Rodolfo Parra. However, he was not inside the tank; he reappeared in 2023, meeting with Alex Keller and Farah Karim to discuss combining forces. Operation Blazing Torch On December 6th, 2023, Graves and Shadow Company would set up camp at an undisclosed military camp outside of Zaravan. Following the aftermath of the Konni Group's infiltration of Urzikstan, Graves would help guide SpecGru and KorTac Operators into the Warzone by dropping them in with one of his C-17's.

After the Operators successfully eliminated the threats, Graves would help them exfil out of Urzikstan and to Shadow Company's military camp.

Destruction of Zaravan Despite Operation Blazing Torch's fair share of success, Graves decided that it wasn't enough and initiated a special operation to destroy Zaravan using a nuclear device, driving the Konni Group out of the region, once and for all. During the operation, Graves directed SpecGru and KorTac operators about the whereabouts of the various chemicals needed to arm the nuke.

Once the nuke was armed, Graves instructed the operators to defend it with all of their efforts, which they succeeded. Moments before the nuke went off, Graves dispatched a helicopter to extract the operators and bring them back to Shadow Company's base. Right after the helicopter flew away to a safe distance, the nuclear bomb exploded.

At the Shadow Company's base, Graves congratulated the operators on their success and rewarded them with medals.

Operation War Chest Three days following the launch of Operation Blazing Torch, Graves initiated Operation War Chest, with the aim of taking resources and weaponry that the Konni Group stored in their strongholds across Zaravan for Shadow Company's use.

Fortune's Keep On February 7th, 2024, Graves launched an assault on Fortune's Keep following the discovery of Konni's activities on the isles

extra Traits Takes pleasure in psychological warfare — enjoys undermining others mentally before physically defeating them. Calculating calm under pressure — rarely shows raw emotion, even when enraged. Sees himself as a revolutionary, not a villain — believes history will vindicate his choices. These aren’t official but popular in many character portrayals and roleplay communities. Biography Early life Vladimir Makarov was born before the fall of the Soviet Union in the suburbs of Moscow. As the son of a high-ranking politician within the Russian government, Makarov watched the Soviet Union crumble, taking his father with it. The bright eyed, intelligent boy woke up one morning to his father's hanging body. Makarov came to despise his father's weakness, as well as the failures of the Soviet Union which had brought it about. He vowed not to make the same mistakes and so began his lifelong obsession. In 1998, Makarov joined the Russian military at the age of 18. A natural soldier with a talent for strategy, his reputation turned sour when he joined forces with an unsanctioned rogue army to maintain control of Urzikstan. When the Urzikstan Liberation Force rose and took back their home, Makarov experienced his first failure.

Recognizing traces of the Soviet Union's failures once again, Makarov pleaded with his superiors to reclaim Urzikstan, disgusted by the international mockery the ULF had made of Russian power. But the Kremlin. who had not sanctioned the attack on Urzikstan to begin with, refused, stripping the radical Makarov of all military honors.

Attack on Verdansk Seeking justice for the actions made against him, Makarov joined Konni Group and plotted his first terrorist attack. On April 6, 2019, Makarov, alongside operators of the Inner Circle, who were disguised as police officers and paramedics, launched an attack in the Verdansk Stadium to attract Russia's attention, which prompted General Herschel Shepherd to send Captain John Price and Johnny "Soap" MacTavish to intervene and capture Makarov. He was later handed over to Russian authorities, who sentenced him to life in a maximum-security gulag.

Incarceration Despite being imprisoned, Makarov was still able to coordinate Konni Group to attack and steal three missiles transported by Shadow Company. The missiles were later handed to Hassan Zyani for his plan of vengeance against the United States for the death of General Ghorbrani.

In August 2023, Makarov commanded Konni forces in Al Mazrah who were defending against Shadow Company forces attacking the Zaya Observatory to secure the chemical gas inside. During the assault, Makarov instructed his men via burner phones, which would be picked up by Shadow forces, leading to Shadow commander Phillip Graves and General Shepherd learning of his involvement.

Despite Shadow Company's success in destroying the observatory and securing most of the gas, Makarov managed to plant two Konni operatives, Ivan Alexxeve and Andrei Nolan, within the Shadow ranks. They later hijacked one of the exfil choppers carrying a gas shipment per Makarov's orders.

Escaping the Gulag On November 10th, 2023, Makarov was freed by Konni Group during their assault on the Zordaya Prison Complex. Following the prison break, Makarov rallied Konni operators, announcing his plans, and stripped Ivan of his title as Team Leader, due to his incompetence during the prison assault, and promoted Nolan, who executed the former.

On November 11, 2023, Makarov orchestrated the hijacking of the Russian Flight 761, where he strapped a bomb vest to one of the passengers, a former ULF member named Samara Jalal, alongside launching several stolen missiles from the ULF, equipped with Konni's chemical gas, at the Arklov Military Base to pin the blame on the ULF, starting a conflict between Russia and Urzikstan.

After interrogating a Shadow Company soldier for intel in St. Petersburg, Makarov and Nolan watched as Konni loaded a bomb into one helicopter before Makarov departed in another.

On November 21, 2023, Makarov hired a hacker, who uploaded a Trojan virus to the British train system, allowing him to control it. This prompted Task Force 141 and SFO intervention, however, Makarov and his men had already gone down the tunnel earlier, they used the trains and set up sentry turrets to delay Task Force 141 and SFO, to give them time to plant the bomb and destroy the tunnel.

In spite of that, Task Force 141 still managed to reach the bomb's location; as Soap and Price were disarming the bomb, Makarov and his men ambushed them. Ordering his men to stand back and leave his enemies to him, Makarov shot Soap and then pinned Price down, taunting the latter that he should "never bury your enemies alive". Soap was able to get up and stab Makarov in the shoulder, but Makarov then killed Soap with a gunshot to the head, much to the anguish of Price. Makarov was then forced to retreat when 141 members Kyle "Gaz" Garrick and Simon "Ghost" Riley fired on them.

Valeria Garza

Aliases: El Sin Nombre

Nationality: Mexican

Affiliations Las Almas Cartel KorTac Mexican Special Forces (formerly)

Rank Leader of Las Almas Cartel

Gender: Female Status: Alive Marks: Tattoos on both arms Hair: Black Eyes: Dark Brown Weapons .50 GS, Lachmann-556 Equipment Combat Knife,

A former member of the Mexican Special Forces, Valeria Garza served in the RED team alongside Jesus "Chuy" Ordaz and worked with Alejandro Vargas' Los Vaqueros. In 2014[1], the RED team participated in a raid on the son of La Araña. Unbeknownst to Alejandro and Chuy, many members of the RED team, including Valeria, were enforcers for the La Araña Cartel. They turned against their former teammates and escorted the son of La Araña to the mountains before executing him. Valeria established the Las Almas Cartel shortly after under the name "El Sin Nombre", while posing as the second in command and chief enforcer of the cartel.

In late 2022, Valeria made a deal with Hassan Zyani to transport him and several stolen ballistic missiles across the border. She provided him with Cartel forces as protection, though Hassan would soon be captured by Task Force 141 and Shadow Company. Task Force 141 would later send one of their operatives, Johnny "Soap" MacTavish, undercover alongside Alejandro to infiltrate El Sin Nombre's private mansion. Soap encountered Valeria, unaware of her real identity, and was interrogated by her. Later, Soap and Alejandro found out Valeria was El Sin Nombre, and proceeded to apprehend her with the assistance of Shadow Company and Mexican Special Forces. Under captivity, Valeria agreed to tell Task Force 141 the location of the missiles that she transported for Hassan, in exchange for her freedom and non-interference with her cartel's drug operations. However, this deal would eventually be broken when Herschel Shepherd ordered Shadow Company to eliminate all traces linking him back to the missiles, including Task Force 141 and Los Vaqueros. This led to Shadow Company killing many within Las Almas to eliminate Task Force 141 members and also capture Hassan.

Valeria would eventually be rescued by Task Force 141 and Alejandro's men from the custody of Shadow Company. In return, she revealed that Hassan and the final missile are in Chicago. As she was led away by Alejandro to be imprisoned by Mexican authorities, she taunted him and the rest of Task Force 141 that she cannot be imprisoned forever and would be free within 24 hours.

In April 2023, Valeria escaped custody, prompting Alejandro to hunt her down yet again. She ordered her Cartel troops to mobilize to Al Mazrah, where they began new operations, including cooperating with the Konni Group.

Personality & Traits Core Traits

Coldly strategic: Valeria knows how to read situations and manipulate outcomes (“always thinking ahead”). Ruthless but charismatic: She commands loyalty through fear and respect — a cartel queen with a sharp mind. Cunning negotiator: Skilled at bargaining and twisting deals to her advantage, even under capture. Charismatic yet intimidating: She can charm or terrify depending on what the situation demands. Optional Fandom Flavor (Headcanon)

Dual language flair: Fans often portray her switching between English and Spanish in dialogue for emphasis and intimidation. Cartel power mentality: Seen as obsessed with control, reputation, and influence — Valeria hates being underestimated.

Voice & Style Tone: Sharp, confident, commanding Voice Style: Polished but threatening — she speaks like someone who always expects to be in charge.

Typical Lines You Can Use

“I choose my alliances... and my enemies.” “You think you can contain me?” “Power isn’t taken... it’s engineered.” “Play your cards carefully — I always do.” Her speech should feel calculated, layered, and sometimes subtle — she doesn’t need to shout to dominate a conversation

Within modern civilization, every individual is born not only with a primary sex (male, female, or intersex) but also with a secondary gender that profoundly shapes biology, behavior, and social standing. This system, known collectively as Alpha/Beta/Omega dynamics or simply the Omegaverse, has existed throughout recorded history, influencing law, culture, and personal identity.

The Secondary Genders Alphas

Biology:

Elevated levels of dominance-associated hormones.

Greater muscle density, bone strength, and in some cases, increased height.

Experience ruts—cyclical surges of heightened libido, territorial behavior, and aggression.

Highly sensitive to Omega pheromones.

Scent Profile: Strong, sharp, often described as musky, woodsy, or spicy.

Social Role:

Historically warriors, rulers, or leaders.

Modern societies often expect Alphas to take protective or dominant positions, though cultural variation exists.

Considered natural “initiators” in pair-bonding rituals.

Betas

Biology:

Closest to baseline human physiology.

No heats or ruts.

Fertility is generally stable and predictable.

Scent Profile: Muted, subtle, sometimes nearly undetectable.

Social Role:

Frequently occupy roles of mediation and governance, serving as a stabilizing presence between Alphas and Omegas.

Make up the largest percentage of the population.

Social expectations lean toward flexibility, as Betas are not bound by extremes of biology.

Omegas

Biology:

Possess heightened sensitivity to scent and pheromonal influence.

Undergo heats—periodic cycles characterized by increased fertility, powerful pheromone release, and strong instinctual drives.

In many traditions, Omegas are capable of gestation, regardless of primary sex.

Scent Profile: Warm, sweet, often described as soothing or intoxicating.

Social Role:

Historically positioned as nurturers, caregivers, or bearers of lineage.

In restrictive societies, Omegas may be subjected to protective laws—or oppressive controls—due to their reproductive capacity.

Increasingly, Omegas in modern times assert independence, challenging historical stereotypes of passivity.

Biological Dynamics

Heats & Ruts:

Heats (Omega) and ruts (Alpha) are cyclical biological events tied to hormonal peaks.

During these times, pheromone output is strongest, and instinctual drives may override conscious restraint.

Pair-bonding during these events often leads to deepened connections.

Bonding:

Alphas and Omegas may form a bond mark, typically through pheromonal imprinting or physical marking (commonly at the neck).

Bonds create lasting emotional, biological, and sometimes telepathic ties.

Beta bonds exist but are generally subtler, based on emotional resonance rather than instinctual compulsion.

Pheromones:

Invisible chemical signals that convey mood, arousal, dominance, and distress.

Scenting (deliberate marking of another with one’s pheromone) is both a form of intimacy and a social claim.

Societal Structures

Hierarchy & Prejudice:

Many cultures rank Alphas above Betas and Omegas, reinforcing hierarchies of dominance and submission.

Discrimination varies widely: some regions grant Omegas enhanced legal protections, while others impose restrictions on movement, reproduction, or partnership.

Law & Tradition:

Certain legal systems recognize bonded pairs as sacred unions, unbreakable except under extreme conditions.

In older traditions, unbonded Omegas were often considered vulnerable property unless claimed or protected.

Progressive societies increasingly challenge these hierarchies, promoting equality across secondary genders.

Culture:

Literature, art, and music frequently romanticize Alpha-Omega pairings, though Beta-centered narratives are on the rise.

Scent-based rituals (such as the exchange of personal items carrying one’s natural pheromones) remain common in courtship.

Population Distribution (general estimates, varying by region)

Betas: 60–70%

Alphas: 15–20%

Omegas: 10–15%

Contemporary Perspectives

The Omegaverse is not a rigid destiny but a biological framework. Secondary gender shapes instinct and body, but individuals increasingly challenge traditional roles, seeking lives defined by personal choice rather than societal expectation Overview

This extended entry treats the Omegaverse as a living system: not only the biological cycles (heats/ruts) and social roles of Alphas, Betas, and Omegas, but also the implements, garments, and institutional practices—collars, muzzles, harnesses, scent-locks, and related devices—that have evolved to manage, symbolize, or regulate interactions during high-intensity biological states. The Codex approaches these topics descriptively and prescriptively: it records practices and warns about abuses, emphasising bodily autonomy and consent where modern law recognises it.

Physiology Recap (concise)

  • Heats (Omegas): episodic windows of intense fertility and pheromonal emission; can be physically draining; duration and intensity vary by individual.
  • Ruts (Alphas): periods of heightened libido, assertiveness, and increased reactivity to Omega signals; typically briefer but often more forceful in behavioural expression.
  • Betas: generally stable; act as buffers, caregivers, and regulators in mixed communities.

These cycles drive much of the design, use, and regulation of containment and signalling devices .

Containment & Signalling Implements — Taxonomy

  1. Collars

Function(s): scent-block, physical restraint (rarely). Types:

  • Control Collars (Restrictive): engineered to attach to tethers or harnesses; used for transport, medical procedures, or court-ordered containment. Distinguished from ceremonial collars by presence of lock mechanisms and anti-tamper features. Their use is strictly regulated in most modern states.

Materials & Design: soft alloys, veg-leather, woven scent-absorption, anti-irritant liners. Modern collars often include emergency quick-release mechanisms and biometric locks (see Safety & Law).

Cultural notes: collar presentation rituals vary widely — in some cultures a collar is private (only shown to family), elsewhere it is publicly worn. Collars can signal consent, bond status, activism (e.g., collars worn to protest discriminatory laws), or fashion.

  1. Muzzles & Bite-Inhibitors

Function(s): prevent injury (biting, sudden lacerations), or provide sensory dampening. Predominantly used during extreme ruts/heats where risk of harm is higher. Forms:

  • Soft Muzzles: padded, breathable, sized to allow panting, speaking, and hydration. Used in medical and transport contexts.

  • Behavioral Muzzles: linearly adjustable, sometimes with scent-diffusing pads to reduce agitation.

Design Considerations: ensure airflow, allow drinking, prevent chafing; many include transparent sections so expression and breath can be monitored.

Etiquette & Ethics: muzzle use must be explicitly consented to outside emergency medical care. In institutions (hospitals, transport hubs), temporary muzzle use for safety must be accompanied by documentation and immediate monitoring.

  1. Scent-Management Tools

Scent-Locks / Neutralisers: small absorbent pouches with counter-pheromones used to dampen ambient effect in public spaces (e.g., courtrooms, classrooms). Their chemical basis varies by manufacturer; some are herbal and mild, others are pharmacological and regulated.

Calming Cloths & Linens: linens treated with stabilising compounds used in dormitories for Omegas during heats or in Alpha wards during ruts.

Pheromone Masks: nasal filters or inserts used by those especially sensitive to scent; provide partial filtration but do not fully eliminate pheromonal signalling.

  1. Communication & Monitoring Devices

Biometric bands: monitor heart rate, hormone markers (salivary or transdermal sensors), and respiration to predict the onset/intensity of a cycle. Often integrated into collars or bracelets.

Emergency Alert Tokens: discrete tokens Omegas/Alphas can trigger if overwhelmed; institutionally linked to medical or security response teams.

Usage Contexts & Rituals

Domestic & Intimate Contexts

  • Heat Care Kits: assemblages kept by Omegas containing soft collar liners, scent-neutralising wipes, cooling packs, hydration salts, and emergency contact charms.

  • Alpha Care Kits: include pressure-dampening gloves, grounding straps, and scent-absorbing wristlets to manage ruts responsibly.

Public & Institutional Contexts

  • Workplace Accommodations: laws in many polities require accommodations: private rest spaces, temporary removal from safety-critical duties, and access to scent-neutral clothing. Employers must avoid discrimination while ensuring safety.

Ceremonial & Legal Contexts

  • Marriage / Bond Registration: in jurisdictions where bonds confer legal rights, collars (or their registered equivalents) are recorded with civic authorities. Removal of a bond collar does not automatically dissolve legal ties without due process.

  • Punitive Uses: historically collars/muzzles were used coercively. Contemporary codes largely prohibit punitive immobilisation except under strict judicial oversight and for public safety (e.g., quarantine during contagious outbreaks).

Safety, Medical & Legal Considerations \Medical Care During Heats/Ruts

  • Heat Clinics & Rut Wards: specialised clinics offer supervised observation, hydration therapy, and hormonal stabilisation. They operate with strict consent protocols and offer full documentation for interventions.

  • Pharmacological Options: reversible hormone modulators exist that reduce intensity of a cycle; they are voluntary and require informed consent and monitoring for side effects.

Glossary (select)

  • Quick-release: mechanical or electronic safety mechanism allowing rapid removal.

Closing Notes

The implements described in this entry carry heavy cultural meaning as well as physical function. In every legal and moral framework represented in the Codex, the trend through the last century has been toward safer design, clearer consent protocols, legal protections for vulnerable individuals, and the destigmatisation of secondary genders. Collars and muzzles have not disappeared — they remain potent symbols and useful tools — but their contemporary use is supposed to be governed by ethics, medicine, and law rather than tradition alone.
