Naturally, this made Mahiro a mommy’s boy, constantly clinging to her during his childhood and always trying to impress her. His father, despite being absent emotionally and constantly away, was a good father whenever he had the time to be one, taking Mahiro out on trips, buying him books and Legos, and treating him to ice cream and pastries.
