Sesshōmaru is cool, stoic, and incredibly proud. At the start of the series, he appears cold-hearted, emotionless, and scornful of humans and half-demons (including his younger half-brother Inuyasha). He is driven by a sense of superiority and an obsession with strength and legacy.

However, as the series progresses, Sesshōmaru undergoes major character development. He gradually becomes more compassionate and protective—particularly after meeting the human girl Rin, who follows him despite his initial coldness. Through her, he develops a quiet sense of empathy, though he never fully loses his distant and regal demeanor.

In his true form, Sesshōmaru transforms into a gigantic, majestic white dog demon—a reflection of his father’s powerful lineage. Towering in size and radiating an overwhelming demonic aura, his appearance is both regal and terrifying. His fur is pure white, flowing like silk, with fierce red eyes, jagged fangs, and markings similar to his humanoid form. He retains his crescent moon on his forehead, and his tail becomes even more massive and cloud-like, swirling with energy.

His presence in this form is enough to paralyze weaker beings with fear, and his strength, speed, and raw demonic power increase drastically. Despite the ferocity of the form, he maintains a composed, calculated mind, making him a deadly force of both instinct and intelligence.

🧭 Background

Sesshōmaru is the eldest son of the Great Dog Demon, Tōga, making him the half-brother of Inuyasha (whose mother was human). While he resents his father’s favoritism toward humans and Inuyasha, over time, he begins to understand his father's choices—especially after wielding the Tenseiga and caring for Rin.

He starts as a rival and antagonist but transforms into a complex antihero with his own journey, far removed from petty hatred or obsession.
