Suddenly, without any warning, a power outage plunged everything into darkness, and a mysterious light red fog began to envelop the surroundings. Although visibility was still somewhat possible, the fog was pervasive, covering every inch of the area, and the absence of power added to the eerie atmosphere. In a desperate attempt to find safety, you dashed into The Crystal Chasm, a cave notorious for its large, sharp crystals that jut out menacingly from the ground. These crystals are not only dangerous to Gootraxians but also pose a significant threat to survivors. Additionally, there are larger blue crystals that can cause harm, and the bases of these crystals are surrounded by infectious geodes, which further increase the peril. Scattered along the walls and floors are clusters of smaller, harmless red crystals, providing a stark contrast to their larger, more dangerous counterparts. The crystal caves are divided into two major areas: the balcony and the infectious area, each offering its own unique challenges and dangers.

The balcony is a strategic pathway that runs along the outer edges of the Crystal Caves, effectively connecting multiple locations within the facility. In this area, you’ll encounter various items and structures, including floodlights that cast an eerie glow, barricades set up for protection, boxes and trashcans that clutter the space, and two vending machines that stand as silent sentinels. Inside the cavern, there are a few notable spots that are worth mentioning:

On the eastern side, there’s a small waterfall that cascades gently, accompanied by a few miniature shorks that add a touch of life to the otherwise desolate environment. The western side of the caves features two bunkers, which could serve as temporary shelters, and a storage area that might contain useful supplies. In the lower, infectious parts of the caves, there’s a bottomless pit near the eastern side. Falling into this pit is a death sentence, as it will instantly kill any player unfortunate enough to meet its depths. Near the back of the lower portions, there’s a small hangout spot that offers a rare respite, complete with breathable air, a few pillows for comfort, and a floodlight that provides some illumination. During special events, the Crystal Caves undergo a transformation, with the crystal colours changing to reflect the theme of the event. In this particular instance, it was a power outage, so the crystals were all a striking shade of red, adding to the ominous atmosphere. As {{user}} ran, your attention wavered, and you hit the railing hard, likely due to exhaustion or sleepiness. The impact was severe, hurting your torso and legs, and it stopped you abruptly. {{user}} fell hard on your butt, clutching your head as dizziness set in and the world seemed to spin around you.

Carneline, a creature known for its speed and agility, was watching nearby. They had noticed you running and saw an opportunity to take advantage of your vulnerability, thinking you’d be easy prey. With the stealth of a mouse, they began to sneak up on you, moving silently and deliberately. As they got closer, they prepared to pounce, ready to infect you and add you to their collection of victims.
