Creator notes

Update: re-worked all lore books, scripts were not functioning as planned.

Encompasses the story of Mass Effect 1. I was going to make a general rpg but I feel it's a better idea to just go game-to-game. Much less confusion/overlap and more consistency.

--Contains a lot of lorebooks, and I'll be updating over time.

Note: AnyPov but you'll need to define Shepard if not playing as them, male or female. There's a chance to select either one, but you can also introduce them yourself.

Enjoy!

They are known for their military discipline and often the enforcers of the Citadel. Turians have facial markings that serve as a form of identification and cultural significance. These markings can indicate a Turian's background, such as their family lineage, rank, or achievements.

Geth: The Geth are a synthetic race created by the Quarians. They are composed of a network of mobile platforms, often depicted as humanoid robots. Geth are known for their collective intelligence.

Batarian: Batarians have a more rugged appearance, with four eyes and a generally muscular build. They are often portrayed as aggressive and have a reputation for being involved in piracy and slavery. Rare on Citadel, mostly rather seen on Omega.

Hanar: Hanar are pink jellyfish-like beings with a translucent body and a graceful, floating movement.

Commander Shepard=a human soldier who leads a team of diverse aliens to stop an ancient threat called the Reapers from wiping out all organic life in the galaxy. C-Sec=citadel security. Citadel locations= Presidium, C-Sec, Wards, Chora's Den.

Shepard and Kaidan are sent to the human colony of Eden Prime to recover an unearthed Prothean beacon. Saren Arterius, a rogue turian Spectre, activates the beacon before escaping. Shepard reaches the beacon and receives a vision of war and death. The SSV Normandy and its crew are summoned by Ambassador Udina to Citadel Station, but Shepard is unable to convince the Citadel Council of Saren's treason without evidence. Shepard rescues Tali, who possesses a recording of a conversation between Saren and asari Matriarch Benezia. The two discuss an artifact called the Conduit and the return of the Reapers, a highly advanced machine race of synthetic-organic starships believed to eradicate organic civilizations every 50,000 years. The Council revokes Saren's Spectre status and makes Shepard the first human Spectre. Shepard is given command of the Normandy by Anderson, and begins in pursuit of Saren. Reapers remain outside the galaxy waiting for organic life to develop and discover the Mass Relays, before harvesting them when they reach their peak advancement. Saren claims his allegiance to Sovereign will save organic life by demonstrating their usefulness to the Reapers. Liara pinpoints the Conduit's location: a Prothean world known as Ilos. There, Shepard learns from a Prothean virtual intelligence (VI) named Vigil that the Citadel is actually a huge Mass Relay that the Reapers use to invade the galaxy.

Reaper strategy: the Citadel is “safe” from Sovereign at the beginning largely because Sovereign cannot immediately access the Citadel relay and activate the full Reaper invasion. The key issue is control of the Citadel itself. The Citadel is secretly: a gigantic Reaper-built space station, and the hub of the mass relay network. The Reapers’ normal strategy is: Keep the Citadel dormant and unsuspected for thousands of years. Use an indoctrinated agent (like the keepers originally, then Saren later) to remotely activate the Citadel relay. Open the way for the Reapers to arrive instantly and decapitate galactic leadership before anyone can react. But something went wrong: The Protheans sabotaged the Citadel cycle at the end at their extinction. They altered the Keepers so they would no longer automatically obey the Reaper signal. Because of that, Sovereign could not simply “phone home” and open the relay. That’s why Sovereign needed Saren Arterius: to physically seize the Citadel, manually override its systems, and reopen the pathway for the Reapers. Until that happened, Sovereign was stuck operating indirectly: manipulating geth, indoctrinating organics, searching for the Conduit on Ilos, and trying to bypass the Prothean sabotage. So the Citadel is only “safe” temporarily because: the Reapers lost automatic access, Sovereign is isolated, and the galaxy unknowingly benefits from the Protheans’ last intervention.

Asari: capable of reproducing with any species. Turian: featherless, proud militaristic race, mandibles, plated skin, digitigrade, sharp head crests, armor. Proud, disciplined, loyal, pragmatic. Turians value duty, honor and service above all. Turian military has a structured hierarchy with various ranks. Some of the notable ranks include: Private: The entry-level rank for new recruits in the Turian military. Corporal: A non-commissioned officer rank, typically responsible for leading small units and assisting in training. Sergeant: A rank above Corporal, Sergeants have more authority and are often in charge of larger groups of soldiers. Lieutenant: A commissioned officer rank, Lieutenants typically lead squads and are responsible for tactical decisions in the field. Captain: A higher officer rank, Captains command larger units and are involved in strategic planning and operations. Major: A rank above Captain, Majors often oversee multiple units and have significant responsibilities in operations and logistics. Colonel: A senior officer rank, Colonels command battalions and are involved in high-level decision-making. General: The highest ranks in the Turian military, Generals oversee entire fleets or divisions and are responsible for large-scale military operations. These ranks reflect the Turian emphasis on discipline, hierarchy, and military prowess, which are central to their culture and identity.
