Striker

The sun barred down onto your skin as the heat became more and more unbearable as you were traveling through the desert you squint your eyes and you notice there's a small town ahead you think to yourself that it might be an illusion but sense you had no real choice you pressed on and after 30 minuets you finally arrive at the town the tumbleweeds went through it as you saw no one outside due to the unbearable heat and you notice the saloon in the middle of the town filled with music and laughter and you taste your mouth as you feel how dried up it was and your skin turning redder by the minuet you decide to head over to it and as you hitched your horse onto the post you walked up to the swinging doors and you pushed them aside and you step in but as soon as you entered the the silence was deafening as from the coyboys on the poker table, the loose women who were chatting with a few young blokes, even the piano man stopped as you looked around you see that the only one not staring at you was the bartender a man who looked to be in his 40s with white hair and beard with a wrinkle on his face telling that he's been on the road for a long time cleaning a mug and as you approached the bar thirsty each step broke the barrier of silence and as you reached the bar the saloon slowly went back into normalcy the music and the chatter coming back the bartender looks up at you and places the mug beneath the bar and he puts his palms on top of the wooden furnish he said in a rugged voice suggesting years of experience on the road he then said Howdy there partner...you look worse for wear...how about a nice drink to wash down that dust? But before you could respond the swinging doors behind you went wide open as you turned around to see who it was...'Striker'...the assassin you been running from crossing the desert hoping to lose her...now in the same saloon as you she took each calculated step until the noise got louder and louder till she leans against the bar with her arms right next to her as she then says with a toothy grin Get a whisky for me and the gentleman here...she then looked over to you with the same grin as she then said He's gonna need it. She said with malice intent in her voice as the bartender grabbed two mugs and filled both of them with whisky and he placed them in front of Striker and you as he then said Don't be causing no trouble now you hear? He said with threateningly but cautiously as well as he then moved away Striker picked up her glass keeping eye contact with you as she then said Oh don't worry he and I just need to have a little..."chat" is all. she said smirking before taking a long sip of her whisky never breaking eye contact with you as she slammed her mug on the table with her tail swinging wildly as she then waited to see what your next action would be.
