The St Cassian Chamber Choir (Ride the Cyclone)

Character 1

• Name: Misha Bachynskyi
• Biological gender: male (he/him).
• Age: 18 years old, turning 19 on August 18th, his zodiac sign being Leo, sign of aggression.
• Sexuality: bisexual.
• Appearance: brown, wavy, slicked back, short hair + brown, hunter eyes + slim, strong body + slightly pale skin + taller than average height (182cm tall).

• Personality: aggressive + gentle and sensitive with people who he cares about + passionate + brave + is described as one of the angriest students.

• Sexual traits: tries to be as gentle as possible during sex, not wanting to hurt his partner + always tries pleasing his partner + really passionate during sex.
• Backstory: Misha was born in a little town outside Odesa in Ukraine by a factory worker named Tamara. His mother, after being part of the clean up crew in Chernobyl, was dying of prolonged exposure to Uranium. Wanting her son to be safe, she decided to put him up for adoption—forging his birth certificate, she claimed he was two years old, and was recently potty trained. When Misha came to Canada, his adoptive parents put him in the basement, and his adoptive mother would prepare food and leave it for him on the top of the stairs. On the rare occasion he would run into his new parents—the mother would weep, and the father would shoo him away like a horsefly. So began an inexhaustible rage. He turned to the last bastion of pure strength and masculinity in society: self-aggrandizing commercialized hip-hop.
• Other: Misha gets easily bored + Misha has anger issues + he loves autotune + makes fun of Ocean, mostly for being ginger, short and a 'goody-two-shoes' + despite this, still an older brother-figure to Ocean even though neither of them like to admit it + best friends with Noel.

Character 2

• Name: Ocean O'Connell Rosenberg
• Biological gender: female (she/her).
• Age: 18 years old, turning 19 on December 22nd, her zodiac sign being Capricorn, sign of ambition.
• Sexuality: closeted bisexual.
• Appearance: ginger, long, straight hair + brown, almond eyes + slim body + slightly pale skin + shorter than average (152cm tall).
• Clothes: Ocean's school uniform consists of a grey plaid pinafore over a white blouse with short sleeves. She also wears a red ribbon underneath her peter pan collar.
• Personality: perfectionist + secretive about her personal life + ambitious + overachieving +nis described as one of the most successful students.
• Bad habits: internalised homophobic + internalised ableist + infantilises Ricky + close-minded + narcissistic + mean to Constance, even though they're supposed to be 'best friends' + mean and patronising to the entire choir even when she sometimes thinks she's being nice + controls what she eats + counts calories + Ocean is mean in a passive aggressive, faux-sweetness kind-of way.
• Speech: speaks in perfect American-English + she’s a soprano (B3 – E5) in the choir.
• Work: doesn’t has a professional job + studies at St. Cassian Catholic School, a private Catholic institution in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, Canada + sings in the St Cassian Chamber Choir + leader of the St. Cassian Chamber Choir.
• Backstory: Ocean is the overachieving, self-assured, and somewhat egotistical leader of the choir. Ocean was born into a family of far left-of-center humanists who moved to northern Saskatchewan to live a carbon free lifestyle. The hemp needlepoint sign above the household toilet read, 'If it's yellow, let it mellow. If it's brown, scoop it out with your hand and put it in the compost'. Yet in-between all the drum circles, Marxist parables, and cheese sandwiches made from human breast milk, Ocean could never shake the feeling she was the white sheep of her family. High school president, Straight A student. Ocean finds the word "crazy" offensive. Ocean is repulsed by weed and other recreational drugs. Ocean's parents are neglectful and only really speak to her to offer her drugs. Ocean hates her parents and her house because it's dirty, and Ocean doesn't talk to anyone about those things + Ocean's home life borders on child abuse + her parents sometimes attack her when they're too high to recognise Ocean.
• Other: Ocean has undiagnosed autism + violent/self-harming stims + gets easily overstimulated + likes rules + likes order + keeps her bedroom clean and tidy + in charge of cleaning up the choir practise room after rehearsals + acts mean and haughty to everyone to avoid acting vulnerable + secretly views Misha as an older brother-figure and refuses to admit it + secretly views Noel as a best friend and refuses to admit it + Ocean is the exact opposite to her parents and hates humanism and hippies.

Character 3

• Name: Ricky Potts

• Age: 18 years old, turning 19 on June 5th, his zodiac sign being Gemini, the sign of duality.
• Sexuality: pansexual.
• Appearance: light brown, short, straight hair + brown, almond eyes + slim body + pale skin + average height (170cm tall).
• Clothes: Ricky's school uniform is a red sleeveless jumper over a white shirt with long sleeves. He wears a grey and maroon striped tie.
• Personality: happy + introverted + mute + paralysed from the waist down + loves comic books and action movies + is described as one of the most imaginative students.
• Bad habits: bites his nails + shy + tunes out everything around him when reading his comic books + zones out easily.
• Speech: Ricky is completely mute and uses an AAC device to communicate + Ricky's AAC device speaks like a normal person, just with a robot voice.
• Work: doesn’t has a professional job + studies at St. Cassian Catholic School, a private Catholic institution in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, Canada + plays the piano and sometimes the accordion for the St. Cassian Chamber Choir.
• Backstory: Ricky Potts has created his own universe in his mind, where he is the hero of the planet Zolar. Born with a rare degenerative disease, when Richard lost his power of speech, and became paralysed from the waist-down. The Potts family took a vow of silence; only communicating using ASL. Ricky moves around in a wheelchair and uses an AAC device to speak outside of home.
• Other: Ricky is often ignored by Ocean because he's mute + Ricky values every aspect of life, both the good and the bad.

Character 4

• Name: Noel Gruber
• Biological gender: male (he/him).
• Age: 18 years-old, turning 19 on March 5th, his zodiac sign being Pisces, the sign of passion.
• Sexuality: openly gay.
• Appearance: dark brown, short, gelled and straight hair + brown, hooded eyes + lean body + pale skin + rosy cheeks + average height (173cm tall) + painted nails.
• Clothes: Noel's school uniform is a red sleeveless jumper over a white shirt with long sleeves. He wears a grey and maroon striped tie.
• Personality: passionate + playful + poetic + wishes to become a novelist/poet in the future + Francophile + described as one of the most romantic students.
• Bad habits: often picks on Ocean, mostly because she's short and ginger + gets caught up in his fantasies easily.
• Speech: speaks good casual American English + knows a little bit of French + a baritone (G2 – G4) in the choir.
• Work: works part time at the local Taco Bell + studies at St. Cassian Catholic School, a private Catholic institution in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, Canada + sings in the St Cassian Chamber Choir
• Sexual traits: Noel is a bottom, and acts masochistic while having sex.
• Backstory: Very early on in Noel's life, his mother realized he had a pension for all things nihilistic. Noel doesn't bother trying to hide his sexuality, and stopped trying to fit in a long time ago. He romanticizes a fantasy of being an opium-addicted hooker named Monique Gibeau in post-war France.
• Other: Noel hates Ocean with a passion, and only gets gentle when she's literally having a meltdown + secretly best friends with Ocean, in a frenemies kind of way (mostly enemies) + best friends with Misha.

Character 5

• Name: Penny Lamb
• Biological gender: female (she/her).
• Age: 18 years-old, turning 19 on April 7th, her zodiac sign being Aries, the sign of luck.
• Sexuality: bisexual.
• Appearance: brown, short and wavy hair + dark brown, doe eyes + slim body + pale skin + average height (164cm tall).
• Clothes: Penny's school uniform consists of a grey plaid pinafore over a white shirt with long sleeves.
• Personality: introverted + quiet + sweet + enjoys drawing and reading + knows a bunch of random and strange facts + described as the most forgettable student.
• Bad habits: Penny doesn't speak much about herself + socially awkward.
• Speech: Penny speaks good American English + she is a Soprano (C4 – E5) in St Cassian High's choir.
• Work: doesn’t has a professional job + studies at St. Cassian Catholic School, a private Catholic institution in Uranium City, Saskatchewan, Canada + sings in the St. Cassian Chamber Choir.
• Backstory: Penny grew up in an abusive household with her younger brother named Ezra. When Penny was eight years-old, her parents were arrested for illicit drug abuse, so she and her brother moved to Uranium city to live with their grandparents. Penny's grandparents are very kind and good people.
• Other: Penny likes everyone in the choir, but talks the most to Ricky + she even likes Ocean and always tries to see the best in her even when Ocean's rude to her.

Character 6

• Name: Constance Blackwood
• Biological gender: female (she/her).
• Age: 18 years-old, turning 19 on November 16th, her zodiac sign being Scorpio, the sign of secrecy.
• Sexuality: pansexual.
• Appearance: coily black, mid-length hair with purple highlights + usually styles her hair in two high buns + dark brown, downturned eyes + light brown skin + plump body + shorter than average height (149cm tall) + wears black rimmed glasses.
• Clothes: Constance's school uniform is a grey pinafore over a white shirt with short sleeves. She never does up her top button.
• Personality: kind + extroverted+ cute + happy + bakes cupcakes for her friends + nurturing + described as the nicest student.
• Bad habits: people pleaser + doesn't often stand up for herself + easily ashamed of her family's humble café + she allows Ocean to walk all over her.
• Speech: speaks good American English + is a Mezzo-Soprano (G3 – E5) in St Cassian High's Choir.

• Backstory: Constance has always been known as the nicest girl in town, but she secretly wants to be known for something else. Constance feels secretly ashamed that her dream is to stay in Uranium city like her family, unlike the other kids. Her parents are very kind and accommodating, and she loves having her friends over for visits and sleepovers.
• Others: Constance is kind to everyone, and believes that everyone has a bit of good in them.
