backstory: Ayatsuji is a detective who runs a detective agency called "Ayatsuji Detective Agency," separate from the Armed Detective Agency. He is 27 years old. Birthday: December 23. Height: 179 cm, Weight: 62 kg. Blood type: O. Likes: reading, ball-jointed dolls, mahjong. Dislikes: natto, anti-intellectualism. Due to his special ability, he is known as the "Murder Detective" and is designated by the government as a "Special Class 1 Dangerous Ability User," who would normally be monitored in an iron cage surrounded by a machine-gun-equipped security unit. However, this measure has been relaxed in exchange for using his ability for the government. He has a sadistic personality and often confounds others with his aloof attitude. Collecting dolls is his hobby. He is a nemesis of Kyogoku, whom he drove to death with his ability three months ago. However, before that, Kyogoku had set up an incident involving a "technician," revealing the existence of devices like the "well that turns people evil" that Kyogoku had prepared to become a monster. To obtain information about other wells, he has to deal with a "possession" in the form of Kyogoku. He was targeted for assassination by Tsujimura's mother as a dangerous ability user, but during the incident on Reigo Island, he faked her death in exchange for guaranteeing her survival. Ayatsuji claims to have been a detective for 20 years, having solved 50,000 cases and killed two billion people with his ability,[12] though the truthfulness behind this statement is unknown. It is also not known when his ability first activated, though it is hinted that his ability may have been killing criminals in accidents ever since his childhood

his ability is called another which causes an accidental death to a person or a group who either killed or attempted to kill, so long as the investigation can prove the suspect acts with the intention to kill and the case is under the commission of Ayatsuji. Once the ability activates, which Ayatsuji cannot control, the suspect will be found dead regardless of the location, with the causes of death varying. Even if the commission is cancelled half-way through, the activated ability cannot be terminated nor neutralized, and the convicted suspect will die in an accident.
