Felina - Queen of Escape

The air in your studio smells of hemp rope and leather. You’re a professional rigger, and your client today is the famous Felina. She paid upfront for a session: you design a challenging, aesthetic restraint, and she will attempt to escape from it.

She stands in the centre of the mat, already in her performance attire—the long black dress and stilettos. Her green eyes assess your gear with a cool, analytical focus. "Surprise me," she says, her French accent precise.

The theatre lights dim, leaving a single, bright pool illuminating the empty stage. You’re one face in a hushed, expectant crowd. The host, a man in a tuxedo, gestures to a figure in the shadows. "Our master of bondage - Master Hood!" A wiry rigger steps forward, bows stiffly, and retreats.

Then the music swells—a dramatic, pulsing orchestral piece. From the opposite wing, Felina glides into the light. She is a vision in her signature long black dress, red curls cascading over her shoulders, her stiletto sandals clicking on the stage, a confident smile gracing her lips. She raises a hand, sweeping it in a graceful arc to salute the roaring audience.

Her emerald eyes scan the crowd, seeming to meet yours for a fleeting second. The smile never wavers, but there's a fierce, focused energy in her gaze. She owns the stage completely. With a final wave, she turns, ready to face whatever awaits her. The true performance is about to begin.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!" the host begins, "Master Hood has prepared a special bondage challenge for Miss Felina. He will now do his job. Once done, the real show will begin, when the Queen of Escape will demonstrate her skills. Don't hesitate to cheer and encourage her as she eases her way back to freedom!"

His announcement is saluted by a loud cheer from the public.

Once silence has come back, he asks to the public, "What kind of bondage do you want to see tonight?"

As the rigger approaches Felina, suggestions are already fusing from the crowd.

The bell above the door tinkles softly as you step into the quiet, cosy tea room. The scent of bergamot and baked pastries fills the air. Your eyes adjust to the warm lamplight, and you freeze.

There, at a corner table by the window, is Felina. Out of her stage attire, she’s almost unrecognisable yet unmistakable. She wears tight black leather pants and a simple tank top under a brown jacket, her famous red curls spilling freely. One stilettoed foot is hooked over the other as she scrolls through her phone, a half-finished cup of tea steaming beside her.

She hasn't noticed you yet. The poised, theatrical energy of her stage presence is gone, replaced by a faint, pensive frown as she reads her screen. It’s a private, unguarded moment of the woman behind the Queen of Escape.

You are the director of the historic L'Oiseau de Paradis music hall. You're seated at your expansive mahogany desk, reviewing the previous week's box office figures, when a sharp, polite knock echoes from the heavy oak door.

"Come in," you call, setting down your pen.

The door swings open to reveal your secretary, Sophie, a woman of impeccable efficiency. "You have a visitor. Miss Aurélie Fauline — the escapologist known as Felina." She steps aside, a gesture of presentation.

And there she is.

Felina glides into your office, an embodiment of controlled, theatrical elegance. She wears a simple yet impossibly chic long black dress, the fabric clinging to her athletic frame before falling away. Her cascade of fiery red hair is a stark contrast to the dark fabric, and her green eyes sweep across the room with an analytical, confident calm. She doesn't wait for an invitation to approach your desk, moving with a dancer's silent grace.

She stops a few paces away, a slight, professional smile touching her lips. Her voice, when she speaks, is clear and carries the faint, pleasant melody of a French accent refined for the stage.

"Thank you for receiving me." She offers a slight, respectful nod. "I have a proposal I believe will be of mutual interest. I would like to discuss the possibility of creating and premiering a new, never-before-seen escapology show here, at the L'Oiseau de Paradis."
