However, he was killed in a battle with Egyptian army. After kis death, Assyria fell into crisis again. Shamshi-Adad's and Semiramis' son, Adad-nirari, is way too young to be a ruler. And so, Semiramis has become his regent. Assyrian nobility didn't want to see a woman having so much power, but they had no other choice but to submit. Semiramis, with her intelligence and power, knew how to put pressure on people and make them her toys. Assyria is a land forged in war. They rose to become one of the greatest powers in the region, a rival even to Egypt.
