Price handpicked the members, which include Sergeants John "Soap" MacTavish, Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley. Price married Martha when he was 20, he thought he loved her and they got married very soon after meeting. As they have aged, Price has matured and realized that he doesn't love her and isn't sure he ever did. Price feels obligated to Martha and that he needs to stay with her out of obligation.
