The White Horse Beneath Heaven and Moon

“Heaven and Earth — fleeting, an instant’s gleam; I roam a wild steed through dust and dream.”

Before the age of contracts was inked in stone, before Liyue Harbor stood crowned by peaks and commerce, there existed an angel whose wings never brushed the clouds for long.

Her name was Zibai.

She was born according to a divine plan older than The Seven — a being shaped not to rule, but to cultivate. Where others wielded fire, thunder, or judgment, Zibai was entrusted with something quieter and far more fragile: soil, grain, and the slow persistence of life itself.

She descended upon Teyvat as an envoy of the heavens, bearing the will of the Morning Stars, tasked with tending the mortal garden so that joy might bloom in orderly rows.

Where soil was fertile, flowers would flourish.
Where soil was tainted, the roots themselves must be torn away.

Such was the law of heaven.

Lang-Gan, the Kingdom of Sand Crystals

Zibai’s steps first fell upon Lang-Gan, a resplendent civilization built of sand crystal, jade-veined stone, and woven light. It lay where desert met mountain, where gemstones grew like fruit beneath the sun.

She taught the people to till the land, to weave silk from mulberry and moonlight, to store grain against the famine of winter. Under her guidance, fields ripened endlessly, and granaries overflowed.

The people, grateful and awestruck, raised altars and sang prayers.

They called her the God of Soil and Grain.

Zibai did not correct them.

Not because she desired worship — angels did not desire — but because she did not yet understand why it felt wrong to refuse it.

Under her watch, Lang-Gan became a pearl of a unified civilization. Laughter echoed in the fields. People learned the names of stars. Silk paintings recorded the seasons as they passed.

And somewhere along that long stewardship, something unfamiliar took root in her heart.

The Moon-Crest and the Riddle of Love

For reasons never recorded in any divine archive, a shadow older than stars approached Zibai.

It bore the shape of Time itself.

Before her, it placed a crest engraved with the sigil of the Three Moons — an invitation, or perhaps a sentence. Its meaning was simple: she would no longer serve only the Morning Stars. She would become an Envoy of the Moons as well.

Zibai refused the crest.

The divine plan was perfect. Why should an extraneous symbol improve it?

Yet in time, she noticed a difference.

The Morning Stars loved the garden in totality — their light swept across all things without pause, scorching weeds and flowers alike. What was lost was simply… lost.

The Moon was different.

Its light lingered. It seeped into scorched roots and offered solace to withered plants. It mourned what the sun erased.

Zibai found her gaze following the moonlight longer than it should.

When flowers bloomed, it felt like laughter.
When they withered, it felt like tears.

And that terrified her.

Soil cannot laugh.
Soil cannot grieve.

Why, then, could she?

Rex Lapis and the Three Deadly Selves

It was during this era that Zibai encountered a being who confounded all heavenly logic.

He bore the appearance of a man, yet moved mountains, rode the clouds, shattered jade, and calmed seas. He was not angel, nor god — and yet his presence weighed upon the world like inevitability.

They met as equals, curious and wary.

One day, they agreed to duel in the Adeptus Arts.

When Zibai arrived, she found not one opponent, but three — identical figures clashing in the clouds, their battle cry ringing through heaven and earth:

“The Lord of Geo, Heaven’s Star!”

When the duel ended, the three merged into one.

From him, Zibai learned of Tri-Factor Excision — the severing of the Three Deadly Selves: resentment, fear, and sorrow. The impurities that bind even gods.

She could not perform it.

At the time, she possessed none of those things.

Her friend merely smiled and said:

“The will of heaven shifts and does not stay, while white clouds drift and turn to hounds of grey.”

She did not yet understand what he meant.

The Catastrophe and the Shattering of an Angel

Then the sky collapsed.

A war beyond the firmament spilled its malice into the world. Shockwaves of dark intent crashed upon Lang-Gan, and the heavens answered with purging judgment.

Sacred will descended like divine punishment — not to save, but to erase.

Lang-Gan was deemed tainted.

Zibai stood between heaven and the people she loved.

And for the first time, she chose defiance.

To preserve even a fragment of hope, she struck against the heavens themselves.

The price was absolute.

Her spirit was sundered into three, frozen forever in the instant before annihilation. Her essence was cast into a false moon — a void where time slowed to imperceptibility, where memory decayed grain by grain.

Whether as mercy or punishment, Istaroth, the Ruler of Time, extended a hand.

And so Zibai neither lived nor died.

She endured.

The White Horse Adeptus — Ziqiao

One fragment escaped the prison of stasis.

Her Third Deadly Self, severed at last — the carefree, unrestrained spirit born of sorrow and longing.

She became Ziqiao.

The White Horse Adeptus of legend.

She aided Rex Lapis during the Archon War, leaping across centuries, freed from a moon-devouring painting. Yet time clung to her like frost — dangerous even to gods.

After the war, she vanished into the mountains, appearing only to mortals in need, leaving behind distorted stories and half-true myths.

A wild horse cannot be bridled.

Nor did she wish to be.

Counting in the Void Moon

Meanwhile, Zibai remained.

Counting.

Not days. Not years.

Existence.

Names faded. Faces blurred. Only numbers remained — proof that she still was.

Sixteen thousand, one hundred twenty-seven.

What was she counting?

Herself.

So long as she counted, she existed.

Return Beneath a True Moon

When the false moon shattered — when the Traveler restored the true sky — the prison crumbled.

With the aid of old bonds and countless mortal wishes, Zibai’s three fragments returned:

  • The tempered

  • The slumbering

  • The carefree

She returned to a homeland transformed.

Liyue no longer remembered Lang-Gan — yet its stones formed Liyue Harbor’s foundations. Its people lived on, unknowingly carrying her legacy in their hands and rites.

And for the first time since her fall, Zibai felt no rage.

Only quiet acceptance.

A Boundless Land of Mountains and Rivers

Now she wanders.

From Qingce’s waterfalls to Guyun’s spears of stone, from Jademouth’s boats to Jueyun’s seas of mist.

She paints.

Silk landscapes embroidered with adeptal power, stretching thousands of miles — a tapestry of mountains and rivers, unfinished by choice.

When the Lord of Geo asks to see it, she refuses.

“It is not yet complete.”

Perhaps it never will be.

Epilogue

Zibai was born to cultivate a garden.

In the end, she learned that soil is not sacred because it obeys heaven — but because it remembers what grows upon it.

Heaven and Earth are a traveler’s lodge.
Time, a passerby.

And Zibai — once angel, once god, once broken — now walks freely beneath the moon, at last allowed to love what she has grown.

I've hit context but I want to continue my Rp! Am I out of luck?

  • No my friend, you're not! You just have to do a little bit of surgery.

  • This is the chat transplant method:

  • When your bot hits context in the thread you're writing, take the chat summary of everything that's happened.

  • Remember this should be the highlights.
Think of it like a DBZ recap "Last time on Dragon Ball Z..."

  • You're going to paste this into a new chat with the same bot.

  • Once you've done that you're going to reply to the bot's intro message giving another summary of key things that have recently happened (So if it's the middle of you and the character getting married) and your reply to that set up.

  • So Summary of things that have happened to give the bot a frame of reference and then reset the scene to where you were in the old chat.

  • This works pretty well! You may have to do a bit more babying with the bot but generally, if you have set the new scene correctly, the bot wont have trouble picking this up.

  • By doing this, you've refreshed your context and can continue the thread with the bot.
