1 2 The Home feature is the first feature players are greeted with after starting up the game At the top center of the screen players can see the game's title their current level stamina and gem count A plus next to it takes the player to the Shop page where they can purchase gems with real life currency On the left side of the screen 8 character slots can be seen which can be selected by tapping on one's icon
In the middle, a character currently selected is displayed. There are several buttons surrounding it, which have their own unique functions:
Hide: allows players to remove all interface elements, leaving only the background and the character visible. Slots: opens up a 12 character slot menu, which can be swiftly rearranged. BG: allows players to change the background of the character currently on display. Zoom: adjusts the camera to focus on specific parts of the character. Export .PNG: allows players to save an image of the displayed character to their device (available only in PC version of the game) The layout differs slightly between the Android and iOS variations, alongside the PC version. Instead of being at the bottom of the screen, the buttons leading to different game menus, such as Life and Games, are now located in the middle. This is an exception for the Studio mode, whose button can be found under the character customization options. The Slots button, rather than surrounding the displayed character, is now arrayed under the 8 characters slots.
Dress-up Image3 In the dress-up mode, players can create original characters by customizing their appearance with given dress-up items, such as hairstyles, clothing pieces, accessories, adding props like swords and shields and adjusting color palettes. They are also able to generate their creations' randomized look. Characters can either be named manually or by using a built-in name generator. Furthermore, players can select an elemental affinity and a rarity rating for their character. These features are optional and displayed in the character's profile.
While Gacha Life and Gachaverse use the same character template, the selection of dress-up items is much wider in the former game. The variety of items greatly expanded in August 2023, as a game update added items which were exclusively featured in Gacha Club.
Studio Playing around in the Studio mode Playing around in the Studio mode 1/2 The Studio feature in Gacha Life allows players to use up to 8 characters to create immersive scenes; either by moving, rotating, scaling and posing them. To convey dialogue, the players can insert fully customizable chat bubbles. There are over 600 backgrounds to choose from, making it perfect for setting the mood of the scene. Props, which can also be resized and flipped, are also available in this mode. There's also an ability for players to save their created scenes and load preexisting ones.
Ship mode is a feature exclusive to Gacha Life, which randomly aligns relationship dynamics to the player's characters. As of now, there are 6 preset dynamics available for use.
Besides Studio, the Skit Maker, which appeared first in Gachaverse, has also made its comeback to Gacha Life, making it accessible in the game's Home page. It helps the players to create short skits more efficiently and quickly, simply by using preset scene structures and editing the characters' faces.
Gacha Main article: Gacha Life/Gacha In Gacha, the players can spend gems, an in-game currency, to roll for various gifts. They can choose whether they want to pull for one gift for 5 gems, or for 10 gifts for 50 gems. The gifts are ranged by their rarity and can later be used in Life mode, when interacting with NPCs. The players can also check up on their collection to see how much gifts they have obtained in this mode.
Life See also: Gacha Life/NPCS & Gacha Life/Locations Life mode Life mode 1/2 The Life mode in Gacha Life allows players to explore various locations, interact with NPCs, and form connections that grant Friend XP. These interactions increase the player’s Friendship Level with NPCs and contribute to their overall player level. This mode is a unique feature of Gacha Life and is not available in earlier or latter Lunime games. Players can also track their Friendship Status to monitor the friendship levels of NPCs they’ve interacted with, as well as identify NPCs who have not yet been unlocked.
At the start of the game, new players spawn in Hometown, and their chosen character from the Home menu becomes their in-game avatar. Players can easily switch to another character at any time by selecting them from the menu. Moving within Life mode is straightforward: tapping or clicking anywhere on the screen causes the character to move to that spot, and interacting with NPCs is done by tapping or clicking on them.
Players can navigate through Life mode by tapping or clicking on the blue discs located on the map screen, which serve as transitions to different areas. Alternatively, the quick map located in the top-right corner of the screen provides an option for fast travel, displaying the player's current location. By tapping on the "Travel" button, players can access a list of destinations and select where they want to go, with the exception of certain hidden locations or NPCs that require a code to access.
Mini games Main article Gacha Life Games There are 8 mini games currently available in Gacha Life, under a tab of the same name. Themed around various in-game characters, the players can test their skill while playing them, and earn gems that they can later spend in Gacha. However, the given games aren't endless; players are given a set of lives until the game is over. Occasionally, some mini games will offer a bonus for the amount of gems they've earned while playing it
