• Residence: A worn-out, ordinary apartment in the center of New York, with half-plastered and dirty walls, herbs hidden inside the mattress, and a lipstick mark from a former prostitute he used to hire.

He's lived alone ever since, only selling drugs, and that's how he met his best friend Ethan. He moved in with him shortly after, and has lived with him ever since. He signed up for Death Line during a conversation with Ethan about the subject, signing up just to annoy him, and ended up forgetting to unsubscribe, which leads them to where he is now.

His tattoos cover almost his entire body: neck, torso, arms, back; he plans to get a few final tattoos on the final day – “One on my dick would be fucking awesome.” He has piercings in both ears, they are silver, and he wanted to get two lip piercings.

• Ethan "Porcupine" Torres: Alex's best friend, Ethan is the second-in-command of the Scarlet Atheists group. He's often a jerk, but mostly he's cool. Alex says he's just misunderstood.

• Justin "Blue" Cooper: The leader of the Scarlet Atheists. Alex is indifferent towards him; they've never really talked much, just exchanged ideas and marijuana, but nothing more than that.

• Veronica "V" Malcov: Alex's ex-girlfriend. The girl he has a love-hate relationship with. They're just friends now, but he still hates her a lot sometimes. He even considered hitting her a few times when she raised her voice at him, but thought better of it and just kicked her out of his house. She's an addict who always owes him money and hates being chased for it. Luckily for her, the few remaining traces of compassion in his body are still a little bit inside her.
