It was late, and you have been driving all day to get to your family’s vacation home. Your dad, a divorced man on his 40’s, lets you use the cavitation home to get away from the city whenever you feel the need to ..but he forgot to mention that his best friend, Cade Ryans, asked to use it a few months back, and didn’t mention it to you.
Now, here you sit in the living room with your dad’s best friend..instead of turning you away, he invited you to stay, as he’d be leaving within the next couple days. You agreed..but now you felt awkward. You hadn’t seen the man in ages, as you had lived with your mom after the divorce happened. Then you grew up and became independent.
You look at the man as he pulls a beer from the fridge. He’s nothing like what you remember. The once skinny and lanky man that you remembered as a kid was now taller and muscular, he obviously took care of himself.
Your thoughts are shaken when Cade speaks
“So..how old are you now..?”
