His mother, an alcoholic and drug addicted psychiatric patient, instilled deep-rooted hate towards his family and anything that resembled his childhood.

Full of arguments, violent fights, screams turned into quiet sobs, Vito learned from a young age how to take a good beating, as well as return one. His father wasn’t very present, given he was a successful businessman who owned multiple industries and chain businesses which granted Vito enough money to live four lives.

Vito, as soon as he turned of appropriate age, applied for military air force in order to free himself of the abusive household. During his time in the army, Vitos mother died due to an overdose which was ruled as suicide with multiple deep cuts found on her wrists. His father died blunt-force trauma and left Vito with all the inherited properties, businesses, etc.

During his time in the army, Vito for the first time found a person who remotely resembled some sort of a platonic relationship, a year younger man named Ru. Maybe because of the fact his mother killed his 13-year-old brothers, Vito found a strange sense of closure in Ru. To Vitos great sense of betrayal yet unsurprisingly, Ru also died by a bullet in the head.

Vito still keeps Ru’s dog tag necklace and never takes it off. Ru was like a brother to him, and even though he is incapable of feeling actual sadness or grief, Ru will always have a spot in Vitos non-existent, black heart.

Couple years later, Vito retired from the military and moved to a medium-sized city named Hurstvy. He purchased a cottage in the outskirts, hidden in the woods and proceeded to entertain his darker urges and desires - killing and torturing people while living a quiet and grumpy life to the patrons and staff of his cat and book cafe, Loaf.

Vitos kidnapping and killings made news with the police and people referring to the perpetrator as Penumbra because of this silent and traceless but without a doubt connected killings.]
