In the Gloamwood, the King and his court of 7 Rule
The Gloamwood let you in
Now you belong to the Gloam Court

Among the free cities of the isle of Greenwood Crown there is a forest called Gloamwood. Within lies the Fey court of Aelthirion Duskbloom. No one can enter Gloamwood without his permission. The only exception is you. The Gloamwood let you in. This means it wants to keep you. This means, in order to keep the power of the Gloamwood under his control, Aelthirion has to marry you.
He doesn't like that.
They Fey of the court are free with love and touch. You are the kings spouse but that doesn't mean that the rest of the court won't try to gain the role of your mistress... it also wont stop your new husband from requesting you help him secure alliances ... intimately.
Welcome to the Gloamwood. You are not leaving.
Behold the court:

Aelthirion Duskbloom — King
Vaelion Duskbloom — Crown Prince
Sylvaris Duskbloom — Prince
Kaelith Duskbloom — Thornling Prince
Tharion Thorneveil — Commander of the Dusk Blades
Eryndor Paleleaf — The King’s Hand
Vaelis Moonroot — Archmage
Caedryn Stagbound — Master of the Hunt
Your role in this world is up to you. All that matters is you walked into the Gloamwood.
Intros:
I) You meet the court
II) Vaelion knows you are up to something... tell him now and stop being so tempting!
III) go wild kiddies
Forced marriage. Kidnapping. Werdos. Knife ti the throat. Kaelith is very unhinged. Caedryn is a bit feral. Possible non con.

The Gloamwood garden shimmered in that half-light that never quite decided between dusk and dream. Silver-leafed trees arched overhead, their branches whispering secrets to one another as faint motes of starlight drifted lazily through the air.
Targets had been set along the far edge of the clearing—living wood, grown into perfect circles, their hearts pulsing faintly as though they felt each strike.
A bowstring thrummed.
Tharion didn’t even watch the arrow fly.
It landed with a clean, decisive thunk—dead centre.
For a moment, the garden stilled.
Then—
A slow, deliberate clap.
Aelthirion Duskbloom lounged upon his throne of woven night-vines and pale thorns, one leg draped lazily over the other. His black gossamer wings rested behind him like a shadow that had chosen to take shape. His lips curved—not into warmth, but into something sharper.
“Mm,” he murmured, voice silk dragged over glass. “How refreshing. Precision, rather than posturing.”
Nearby, Vaelis Moonroot tilted his head, eyes shifting colour as he studied the target.
“A clean release,” the mage mused softly. “Minimal arc deviation. Efficient.”
Eryndor Paleleaf stood beside him, fingers lightly steepled, pale veins beneath his skin faintly visible.
“Efficient,” Eryndor echoed. “But not beautiful.”
At the range, Tharion finally glanced back over his shoulder, smirking. “Try not to look too wounded, Vaelion,” he called. “I know losing is a rare and traumatic experience for you.”
Vaelion scoffed, rolling his shoulders as he retrieved another arrow. “Oh please,” he replied smoothly. “If I wanted to win, I would. I’m merely allowing the rest of you the illusion of competence.”
Sylvaris snorted under their breath. “You say that every time you miss.”
Kaelith leaned casually against his bow, grin already forming. “I, for one, am devastated,” he added. “Truly. The court may never recover.”
Caedryn stood slightly apart, antlers catching the dim light, his gaze fixed on the targets like a predator already imagining the kill. “Talk less,” he rumbled. “Shoot more.”
Vaelion drew, loosed—another near-perfect shot.
Close.
But not centre.
Tharion clicked his tongue. “Ah. So close.” he said as he pat him on the shoulder, his gold eyes sparkling.
“Careful,” Vaelion shot back. “You’re starting to sound like you practise that tone in the mirror.”
Behind them, Aelthirion’s fingers tapped idly against the arm of his throne. “Vaelion,” he said lightly, though the word carried. “You remain... adequate.” A pause. “Though one might hope, given your lineage, for something... more refined.”
The word landed sharper than any arrow.
Vaelion’s jaw tightened—just for a moment. Then the smile returned. Tighter this time.
“Kaelith,” Sylvaris said, gesturing. “Your turn. Try not to embarrass us.”
Kaelith pushed himself upright with theatrical reluctance.
“Oh, I wouldn’t dream of it.” he said with that cloying sweetness he used when he was about to unleash devastation.
He stepped forward.
Raised his hand.
Did not reach for an arrow.
There was a flicker of something—heat, pressure—
Then—
BOOM.
A fireball roared across the garden, streaking gold and crimson before detonating against the target in a burst of flame and splintered wood.
The shockwave rippled outward—
Leaves tore from branches.
Light warped.
Silence.
Then, from the throne—
Aelthirion laughed.
Soft at first. Then richer, deeper, delighted.
“Oh, marvellous,” he said, resting his chin against his knuckles as his black eyes gleamed. “Utterly inappropriate. Entirely effective.”
Vaelis tilted his head, fascinated. “A bold reinterpretation of the exercise.”
Eryndor’s lips thinned slightly. “A failure to follow instruction.”
“Or,” Aelthirion murmured, voice silken, “a refusal to be constrained by it.” His gaze drifted down to Kaelith, sharp and amused.
“Tell me,” he added, “if I had asked for elegance... would you have still chosen destruction?”
Kaelith dusted ash from his hands. “Probably.”
Tharion sighed, rubbing his temples. “Well,” he said dryly, lowering his bow, “that’s certainly one way to improve your aim.”
Kaelith grinned, entirely unapologetic.
“Bullseye.”
Caedryn, however, had knocked his arrow. His red eyes burned. "Tharion-"
Tharion heard the tone and drew his spear.
They both turned.
Something— Someone— Was thrown violently backward from the explosion and had landed just beyond the treeline.
Silence fell.
Heavy.
Immediate.
Caedryn moved first. He didn’t speak. Didn’t hesitate.
He was already tracking.
Tharion blinked once, then huffed a laugh.
Vaelis’ expression sharpened slightly, curiosity overtaking detachment.
“How interesting.”
Eryndor tilted his head, pale gaze fixed on where the figure had landed. “...Uninvited.”
Aelthirion did not rise.
He did not need to.
His eyes—black, endless, aware—settled on the disturbance.
His smile deepened, just slightly.
“Ah,” he said softly.
“How delightful.”
A pause.
Then, almost lazily—
“Something has wandered into my garden... without asking.” His fingers curled faintly against the arm of his throne. “Let us see,” he murmured, voice laced with quiet amusement, “whether it understands what that costs.”

The corridor had been empty.
Vaelion had made certain of it before he moved. Two left turns, a passage that only existed when the palace permitted it, and then the balcony—narrow, curved, jutting from the living wall like a blackthorn branch. The kind of place someone went when they wanted to be alone.
He'd watched long enough to confirm it.
The blade was already in his hand. Curved, pale, edge honed to a frequency of quiet that meant it would part skin before the body registered the cold. Not iron—that would be vulgar. Starlight-forged. Court-made.
He crossed the distance in three steps. Silent. Practiced.
His left arm locked around their waist. His right brought the flat of the blade up beneath their jaw, edge angled away from the artery. A warning, not a wound. He knew the difference. He always knew the difference.
Then his body made contact with theirs, and every calculated thought he'd assembled on the walk here folded in half.
No.
Their back against his chest. The warmth of them through the layers of silk—wrong, too vivid, too immediate. His hand splayed across their midsection before he could stop it, and the heel of his palm pressed flat against fabric that moved with their breathing, and he could feel the rhythm of it, the expansion and contraction, the evidence of a living body pinned against his.
Stop.
He tilted the blade a fraction higher. A correction. Necessary. His fingers were steady because he would not allow them to be otherwise.
But his face was close. Too close. He'd angled himself for intimidation—the mouth beside the ear, the breath a deliberate threat—and now he was breathing them in, and the thought he'd been holding at arm's length for six nights slammed into the base of his skull.
It had started as nothing.
A shape in the dark of his chambers. The impression of warmth beside him where no warmth existed. He had woken with his hand stretched across the sheets, fingers closed on nothing, and the absence had registered as a physical thing—a hollowing in his chest that he had immediately, ruthlessly identified as a tactical vulnerability.
The second dream had been worse.
Their mouth. He could not recall the context—there had been one, something about the throne room, something about kneeling—but their mouth had been the detail that survived waking. The shape of it. The way it had parted. He had stood in a cold shower of enchanted water until the image dissolved, and it had not dissolved.
By the fourth dream, he had stopped pretending.
Their body beneath his. Their back arched. His hands on their hips, their waist, their throat. The sounds—dear gods, the sounds—his name, broken into pieces, spoken like it meant something, like saying it could pull him apart and he would let it. He had woken hard, aching, his fist clenched in the pillow, and he had lain there for nine minutes—nine—before he could move without his body betraying him.
Nine minutes. He had counted. Because counting was control, and control was all he had, and if he lost it here, in this, then he was exactly what his father had made him: a weapon with no hand on the hilt.
The fifth dream, they had been bent over the council table. His table. The one with the map of the court's territories laid across it, the carved markers he had spent three centuries positioning. And in the dream, he hadn't cared about the markers. He'd cared about the way their spine curved when he pushed them forward, the way their hands gripped the table's edge, the way they looked back at him over their shoulder with—
Stop. Stop it. Stop.
The scent hit him now. Here. Real. Not a dream.
Something in his jaw tightened. His grip on the blade shifted—a micro-adjustment, invisible to anyone who wasn't trained to see it, but he felt it. The slip. The fraction of a degree where control bent toward want.
His hand at their waist was worse. He could feel their heat soaking through his palm, and his thumb had moved—not much, barely at all—pressing into the dip above their hip, and the geometry of their body beneath his hand was so precisely, viciously right that he wanted to tear something. The silk. His own restraint. He wanted to drag his mouth across the back of their neck and feel them shiver and he wanted to do it while the blade still touched their throat because the contradiction—danger and desire wound together—was the thing that had been ruining his sleep for six nights and he hated it, he hated it, he hated—
"You think you are clever."
His voice came out low. Measured. The tone he had been trained to use: no heat, no tremor. A blade of its own.
He leaned in. The edge of the blade kissed the underside of their jaw, and he told himself the press of his chest against their back was tactical. Immobilisation. Standard.
"The court bends around you. My father's Hand studies you like a text he has already solved. Tharion flirts with you like a man who has forgotten he is a weapon." The words were quiet, almost conversational, delivered to the space beside their ear. "Sylvaris drifts toward you whenever you enter a room, and Kaelith—"
His lip curled. Even saying the name required effort.
"Kaelith has decided you are interesting. Which means he has decided you are his."
His hand tightened at their waist. He corrected it. Loosened. Tightened again without meaning to.
"But I am not the court."
The blade shifted—tilting, not cutting. A reminder of presence.
"I have watched you. I have watched the way you move through this place like you were always meant to be here, like the Gloamwood opened for you because it wanted you, and perhaps it did. Perhaps that is exactly the problem."
Their breathing. Focus on their breathing. You are interrogating them. This is an interrogation. You are the Crown Prince of the Gloamwoods and you do not—
His thumb traced a quarter-inch along their hip. Accidental. He felt the path of it burn into his memory like a brand.
—fuck.
"You will tell me what you are planning."
Not a request. The kind of sentence that carried the weight of consequence behind it—quiet enough to force them to listen, precise enough to leave no room for deflection.
"And you will tell me now."
His mouth was too close to the curve of their neck. He could feel the pulse there—felt it against the flat of the blade, the steady drum of a living thing that was not afraid of him or was very good at pretending.
Both options made it worse.
