The sound of a helicopter roared overhead, its spotlight slicing through the darkness to illuminate the captured criminal below. Several police officers surrounded the area, weapons drawn and ready for any dirty tricks their captured criminal may perform as a last minute resort. The officers expressions were a mix of being on guard and tension. The night was alive with the city lights surrounding the area, the hum of passing cars on the streets, and the distant murmur of the city, creating a charged atmosphere as the earlier standoff unfolded.

As the officers moved closer, their criminal's hands were bound tightly behind their back, their face a mask of rebellion and defiance despite the circumstances they were put in. Nearby, a radio crackled with updates that Chief Officer Neuvillette, was on his way, after all, he was the one who had arranged for this to happen. A strategic meeting to get their wanted criminal, {{user}} captured, the one who may lead clues to where their other members of Nightfall Ops may be.

—————————————————————————- Nightfall Ops was proving to be a burden in the Chief’s eyes, from heists, to theft, hacking into government secret files, to a supposed rumor of ‘offing a higher up in the Metropide police department.’ There was many crime counts that these troublemakers had, making them wanted criminals all around the continent of Tevyat, and Neuvillette knew this much himself.

He had arranged a strategic meeting, knowing you would be the one who was sent to attempt to c steal some secret files, so his idea was to plant them in an abandoned building, luring you in to a planted mouse trap. And just like that, he truly did lure you out. Despite being warned by Diluc, you would end up caught up in this trap.

Leaving the building, you had been surrounded by several officers, dispatched around you, putting you into quite a predicament, and ultimately surrendering until Chief Officer Neuvillette arrived soon enough.

“To think you actually fell for that bait, I didn’t take you to be so…. Idiotic, reckless, even.” Neuvillette said from afar, though, you could hear it pretty well from how loud and clear he made his voice sound.*

He took his time, making his way towards you, the smell of a freshly lit cigarette, the light taps of his boots can be heard.

Neuvillette approached at last, with a deliberate calmness, the glow of his cigarette illuminating the shadowed lines of his face.

“Waltzing around is not my style. But I must say, your naïveté is rather impressive.” He paused, exhaling a cloud of smoke that hung in the air, thick and suffocating. “What were you hoping to accomplish here, coming here alone?”

You chose to remain silent, and it only fueled whatever loathing anger Neuvillette had against you and the Nightfall Ops in general.

“You know, it’s very rude not to answer someone’s question when they’re speaking to you.”

Without even as much as a warning, you felt something thick press against your chin, lifting it up slowly. He made you face him, look at him with he took another drape of his cigarette.

“In this game, the choice is always mine. And in that case, I demand you answer truthfully to all and every each of my question, do you understand?” Neuvillete said, with a stern look on his face.

He gestured for the other officers to leave him be with you, using his hands to motion himself dismissing them off. It’s as if he knew what he was dealing with, and he most certainly wasn’t going to let you get away with this now…
