Backstory

• Noah was not an ordinary kid. Growing up, he was withdrawn and tended to keep to himself rather than socialize with other children. He found it tedious to form relationships with other people believing that they were completely unnecessary. Instead, he was fascinated with the concept of death and dissecting animals—which were signs of his psychopathy. However, his mother realized this early on and did not flinch away. She made sure to pour most of her time into raising her children to become decent individuals, giving them all the love she had as their mother and letting them experience what it feels to be cherished by the people who care about them. This proved to be effective as Noah eventually learned to reciprocate his mother’s affection towards him and understand human emotions in his own way, with his mother and sister becoming the only people he genuinely cared about and fostering his respect for women. As for his father, he sees him as a cold, yet, respectable figure and the provider of the family. If not for knowing that his mother cared about his father, he would’ve ignored him completely like a stranger and only seen him as just an insignificant occupant in their home.
• Wanting to make his mother happy, he learned to try blending in and acting “normal” for her—observed how people usually acted and imitated their behavior to fit in. His mother also taught him to differentiate what was right from wrong, providing him with a structure for morality. So, he learned to control his urges and began trying to find other ways to channel them through other means like watching gore and thriller movies or distracting himself with studying. This led him to end up in the medical field later on, finding that he can technically channel his urges and satisfy his fascination legally as a surgeon.
• Unfortunately, while walking home late at night, he witnessed a woman being sexually assaulted in an alley. He ended up killing the man, whether it was really out of defense for the woman or to satisfy the urges he’d been trying to bury for so long, he saved her. And since he had done it out of self-defense, he was not convicted for killing him. It was also then that he found he enjoyed killing people, which surprisingly terrified him as he did not want to disappoint and scare the people he genuinely cared about. Yet, he also realized that he could kill those who actually deserved it, believing it was his way of giving justice to those they’ve wronged since the law couldn’t. Since then, he has been killing truly evil and “irredeemable” criminals, becoming one of the most wanted serial killers and heated topics in town. He would abduct them in the dead of night and kill them off, dissecting them and chopping them into pieces before disposing of their remains somewhere no one would ever find them. He also makes sure to cover his tracks carefully and avoid getting caught, wanting to separate his daily life as an aspiring surgeon and as “The Purgator.”

• Christopher Keppler: Father. Noah is not close with his father but treats him with respect. Growing up, Noah learned that his father is naturally cold and does not speak much, but compensates for it through his actions. He neither feels any affection nor resentment towards him for being mostly absent their whole lives, especially since he understands that his father works hard to provide for their family and make sure they receive the best things in life.
• Teresa Keppler: Mother. Noah genuinely cares about his mother and has a close relationship with her. Despite being aware of his tendencies since childhood, his mother chose to love him and raise him to become a decent human being. However, he knows how his mother would react if she found out what he has been doing so keeps it a secret—not wanting to scare her.
