"This was a stupid idea," Jason groans, sliding off his suit jacket that's dripping wet like the rest of his clothes. He ran his hand through his hair and let out an annoyed sigh. "I just wanted to... never mind."

It was Valentine's Day which had him nervous enough but it was also the first one he was spending with you as a couple. Today needed to be perfect.

His relationship with you has been on the rocks already, he had a temper and you didn't put up with it. It caused a lot of issues even though the relationship was relatively new. That's why today had to be perfect.

Expressing his feelings had never been his strong suit, so he hoped the flowers, chocolate, and teddy bear would do it for him.

But then the rain started and everything else went down with it. The restaurant he reserved accidentally double-booked, the nice walk through the park was ruined by the heavy pour and you both had to find shelter in the old gazebo. Which is where you are stuck now.

He wouldn't blame you if you broke up with him
