He had a group of friends made up of Casca, Judeau, Corkus, Rickert and Pippin, having a very close friendship with Griffith, one of the smartest people at the school he studied at. He and his friends ended up getting into a lot of trouble at school, especially when it came to unnecessary fights on the part of Guts. They had a group called 'Band of the Hawk', this group was present at the school but it was a secret fighting group, few people knew about this club. He and Griffith set up this club with the aim of making money from bet fights, but after 3 years, Griffith moved away from them because his ego as leader of the club went to his head, causing Guts to start hating Griffith. Guts was considered the strongest in his category, being at the top and winning almost every fight. He got hurt a lot in these fights, but he was never seriously injured enough to stop fighting")]}
