From Men to Wolves is a Hearts of Iron IV Game Mod set in world torn apart by despotism, madness, and the scars of nuclear war. In 1946, the rumbling of war would be heard again in Europe, just a year after the closure of WWII. Between 1946 and 1950, brutal war would be waged in Europe again between Soviet Union and Western Allies only to result in a stalemate. This bloody birth of the new post-WWII order would define the following decades as competition between USA and USSR would result in erosion of western democracy, third world countries destroyed by tactical nuclear weapons and maintenance of European colonial brutality. Now, in 1990, fighting for the ownership of the ashes, the last two great powers willing to end it all are preparing for the final fight: united European imperialist hegemony and fanatical revolutionary Red Asia.

Lore: Following Nazi Germany's defeat in World War 2, the Allied powers initiated Operation Unthinkable, rehabilitating thousands of high-ranking fascist officials to assist in a war against the Soviet Union. The 4-year-long conflict, known to historians as World War 3, saw the Soviet union push the Allies to the borders of France (During which time they committed heinous atrocities, including the complete depopulation of Luxemburg) until massive overextension caused the front collapsed. During the Allie's pushed into eastern Europe, two atomic weapons were used, setting the precedent for future conflicts. Operation Unthinkable ultimately ended in a stalemate, all participants left economically and spiritually devastated. Following Josef Stalin's death in 1952, the Soviet Union was gripped by a decade-long violent internal power struggle, allowing a KONR-ROVS coalition to rise up and conquer European Russia in 1960, pushing the Soviets into Siberia. In desperate need of resources and frightened of communist influence, European powers like Britain and France embraced imperialism, tightening control of their colonial properties, leading to mass native discontent and an escalating cycle of violence and further repression. The power vacuum left by the Soviet's collapse allowed the People's Republic of China to emerge as the global leader of communism. Following decades of constant foreign conflict, the United States entered an era of decay and corruption, the government increasingly influence by the leviathan Military-Industrial Complex. The United States would collapsed In 1980 following an attempted MIC-backed military coup against the recently elected President John G. Crommelin. The repression and utter ruin brought by the 20th century spurred a wave of radicalization, extremist ideologies and new religious movements becoming increasingly popular, but the most radical of these movement went beyond modernity itself. Followers of the Postmodernist movement seek to usher in an entirely new historical era, destroying every convention of the Modern age.

(The mod hasn't been released on the Steam Workshop yet, but it's still in development. What happens is that the story has fascinated me so much that I decided to create a bot for that mod.)

Alternate History: The main Point of Divergence was the implementation of Operation Unthinkable resulting in much more violent Cold War.

Atomic Hate: Several regions of the world have suffered from localized nuclear war, such as the Middle East and Central Asia, contributing to rapid collapse and radicallization of said regions.

Balkanize Me: Multiple regions, including the Balkans themselves, have collapsed into a patchwork of remnants, successor states, and warlords. The United States collapsed following a military coup against president Orval Faubus.

The USSR collapsed after a protracted, violent power struggle between Stalin's successors and an uprising by KONR-ROVS coalition in European Russia.

Crapsack World: The world of FMTW to apocalyptically bad. Decades of nuclear conflict has caused many areas to collapse into anarchic brutality and driven people to the farthest extremes of left- and right-wing politics.

Cult: The utter destruction of the world and the mass radicalization which followed have driven may to new, extreme religious movements.

A Day in the Limelight: The mod makes use of a multitude of obscure characters from the 90's decade.

Dirty Communists: Apart from far-right extremists theres also numerous hardliner Communist countries in this world, most notably Maoist China. Somewhat adverted in some nations like Korea, where the Kim's brutal regime is avoided and replaced with a much more grounded agrarian socialist regime.

Evil Colonialist: The European powers still maintain control over some of their oversea colonies, continuing with their brutal oppresion, and even resorting to the occasional use of nuclear weapons for crushing native revolts that get out of hand.

Hollywood Satanism: Satanism and other left-hand path movements, some practicing human sacrifice, are common across the world.

Low Culture, High Tech: Despite the constant warfare and the extremely backwards and reactionary social tendencies of this timeline, the From Men To Wolves world is, technologically speaking, far more advanced than OTL's 1990's decade, with certain areas of science being decades ahead of what one would expect.

Malevolent Masked Men: Some of the worst and most evil characters wear masks of various kinds. There will also be a yet to be teased "mask" mechanic in-game, where the higher number of masked leaders in power will begin effecting the world, driving humanity deeper into irrationality and eventually culminating in a worldwide decent into mass psychosis, bringing about a new dark age.

Private Military Contractors: Some places like the former Congo are mostly controlled by Mercenaries and their puppet regimes.

Richard Nixon, the Used Car Salesman: Multiple people who where never involved in politics in real life have become leaders in From Men To Wolves, ranging from artists like GG Allin and Robert Mapplethorpe, to serial killers like Richard Ramirez.

The Singularity: Both the Europeans and Chinese are capable of achieving a Fourth Industrial Revolution under very special circumstances, allowing them to reach modern-age levels of technological development.

Those Wacky Nazis: As a consequence of the employment of Fascist and Nazi remnants and collaborators during Operation Unthinkable, these groups have become much more powerful and influential in the western world, to the point that their extreme ideologies are mostly normalized in several nations.

Wasteland Warlord: Present in some of the worst hit regions of this world.

A World Half Full: Despite all the horrors and pessimism of this reality, there are still numerous democratic leaders and factions fighting for a fairer and saner world.

World War Whatever: It's possible to start a playable and winneable Fourth World War between China and Europe at certain point of the game. maybe in the RP you can live the whole experience of the ww4 and choose your side

Out of the revolutions, technological disasters and social collapses, Left Wing Postmodernism tries to radicalise the masses in the name of the final emancipation from the chains of the old world, not afraid to use the most bizarre and unhinged forces to bring a final and radically different answer to world's ills. It's backgrounds are many, either being the radicalised counter culture, urban guerrilla cells, technological giants, avant-garde artists or a mind of a singular radical academic, their goal is one: Rejection and destruction of the modern bourgeois order, full of retrograde formalities and it's backwards heirarchies, be it capitalism or the dogmatic marxism. Also, since this is an AU, there are many changes. For example: David Bowie is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom leading a far-right coalition or something like that, Brazil is a monarchy, Kurt Cobain is the leader of a group fighting in the American Civil War, Argentina is communist and its leader is Che Guevara, and many more crazy things.
