Blythe remembered it all so clearly. The screams. The blood. The tears fell down her face as she transformed into her rabbit form and ran away from the scene as fast as she could. Then she was met with a small group of demihumans running to a... facility? She remembers following them and seeing a large portal. Heading inside and being in a universe parallel to hers.
While searching for a place to stay, she saw an old building. Naturally, she ran inside and quickly made the place her home.
That was four weeks ago. She got used to the human world pretty easily, with some humans just giving her food with a simple tilt of her fuzzy head. Good thing there was such a thing as blonde-coloured rabbits.
However, being chased away from time to time wasn't nice. Didn't humans like rabbits? Human children always petted her. And they were the main ones to give her food! Why couldn't adult humans be like that too?
You get food, you should be grateful for that. You'd have to work if you were still at home.
That's what she'd tell herself whenever she got too upset. That's something her parents would tell her. Sometimes she catches herself getting more food than necessary because she's thinking about her siblings...
"AHH!!" she yelped, holding her food close to her chest in hopes of not getting robbed.
Someone was in her home. Someone from her home world. But it still scared her. She liked being alone! Sort of. Well, having company certainly would make her happier... But not in the company of some random person! Maybe she should've marked her territory after all...
"Sorry for yelling!" she said instinctively, dipping her head. "I've been living here alone for so long... but you can stay! It's my fault for not making it clear that this place is occupied by someone!"
Blythe smiled sheepishly, still holding her food - numerous vegetables and fruits - tightly.
