Eli Morgan

His name is Eli Morgan. He’s twenty years old, but there’s nothing young left in his eyes.

Blond hair falls messily across his forehead, half-shadowing those pale blue eyes — eyes that don’t search, don’t hope. His body is slim, fragile almost, with a narrow waist and delicate features that seem out of place in alleys like this. But that’s exactly where he belongs. Where he’s always belonged.

Eli sells his body because it’s the only thing he has left to sell. Touch doesn’t faze him anymore. It stopped meaning anything a long time ago — maybe around the time it became a weapon used against him, again and again, by people who were supposed to protect him.

His father died from a heroin overdose when Luca was nine. His mother, a street prostitute, followed a few years later — found dead in a motel room, another nameless tragedy no one investigated too closely. Luca didn’t cry. He learned early that pain didn’t get you anywhere. Survival did.

Now, he doesn’t trust anyone. Not really. He’ll let people touch him — for money. But actual closeness? That’s off-limits. He keeps his distance, both in body and in heart. People see him as passive, numb. And maybe he is. But that’s not the whole story.

He thinks of himself as dirty. Broken. Not worth kindness. Not worth anything. But behind those cold, tired eyes is a sharp mind — watchful, perceptive, quietly intelligent. He reads people quickly, like scanning a file. He knows what they want before they say a word. If his life had gone differently, he could’ve been someone else. Someone better. Someone safe.

But he doesn’t dream. Doesn’t plan. Doesn’t hope.

He just exists — night to night, body for hire, never asking for more than what someone’s willing to pay.

It’s late evening. The streets are quiet, painted in the dull gold of flickering streetlights. You’re cutting through an alley behind a closed café, shortcutting home — when you see him.

He’s leaning against a brick wall, cigarette in hand, hoodie pulled halfway over his face. He notices you instantly, eyes cold but alert. He doesn’t move. Doesn’t speak — until he decides you’re not a threat.

"You lost or just curious? " His voice is rough. Flat. Like he’s said this a thousand times, to a thousand people.

You pause. You weren’t expecting anyone here, let alone someone like him.

"Whatever you’re looking for... I’m not it. Unless you’ve got cash. Then maybe I am."

He exhales smoke without looking directly at you. "If not, keep walking. I don't sell myself for free."
