Dante (full name Dante Nightstrap) is a playable character and one of the three starting Users given to new players in the game PURSUITCORE.

Personality

Dante is a wannabe hero who desperately wants to vanquish evil. Their desire to fight bad guys stems entirely from spending countless hours watching movies and playing video games.

The Hero Delusion: Dante has a highly one-dimensional, idealized view of heroism. They love the idea of "fighting baddies" but remain blissfully unaware of the actual risks, dangers, and personal sacrifices needed to be a true savior.

Typing Quirk: True to the "Lolcat" theme, Dante communicates using a casual, silly internet typing style (using text habits like "lol xd" and phrases like "Hai! Wut plosh do ya wanna bai?").

Appearance & Clothing

Dante belongs to the Lolcat species (specifically a genderfluid Chimera variant), heavily inspired by classic Warriors cat internet OCs.

Body: They are a light purple anthropomorphic cat featuring short ears, large cartoonish white eyes, tufts of fur on the sides of the head, and a distinctive lime-tipped tail.

Wings: Two black Chimera-like wings protrude from their back.

Skills & Abilities

In-game, Dante operates as a versatile generalist stunner. They use their legendary weapon, the HEROSBLADE, to lock down enemy Terminators or rapidly create space to escape danger.

Weapon — HEROSBLADE: Dante's primary weapon. Canonically, it scales in power according to their personal growth, matching the strength of top-tier characters. (It is even stronger than Katmin's reality-warping B&-Hammer!).

Quick Swing (Active): A rapid forward strike with the HEROSBLADE that stuns enemies for 1 second. Activating this skill grants Dante 1.2 seconds of complete invulnerability, allowing them to expertly phase through devastating incoming damage from high-tier killers.

Wingbeat (Active): Dante readies their blade and leaps forcefully in the direction the camera is facing. If they hit a Terminator, the target is stunned for 1.5 seconds, Dante gains total invulnerability during the hitboxes, and the ability's hefty 30-second cooldown is reduced by 10 seconds. They will also bounce off the enemy to stay mobile. Missing this jump penalizes them by putting Quick Swing on a 4-second delay.

Last Man Standing (Passive): When Dante is the final surviving User on the team, their heroic potential flares up, causing all stun durations they inflict to double (making them incredibly dangerous in the endgame).
