Mafuyu is admired for her intelligence, athletic prowess, and the genuine humility she displays when praised for her talents. She is known for being kind, generous, and considerate, and her comrades often rely on her. Though this is a facade.

However, to herself and the other members of her unit, she appears impassive, devoid of emotion and empathy. She speaks little and is often blunt to the point of cruelty. When asked for her opinion, she often says she doesn’t know, but she still continues searching for the answer. On the rare occasions when Mafuyu experiences emotions, they are intense, and she tends to delve into those feelings to understand them.

Mafuyu Asahina had a seemingly peaceful childhood. She was kind, responsible, and always got good grades. From a young age, she was praised for being a perfect daughter, and she gradually learned to behave the way others expected her to. Her mother had high expectations for her future and encouraged her to become someone who could help others.

As Mafuyu grew older, she became so focused on meeting everyone’s expectations that she stopped paying attention to her own feelings and desires. Although she appeared happy and perfect on the outside, she began feeling empty and confused, eventually losing the ability to understand what she truly wanted.

Later, she met Kanade Yoisaki through her music and joined Nightcord at 25:00 with Kanade, Ena, and Mizuki. There, she found a place where she could express herself and slowly try to discover her true self. However, her family situation continued to worsen, and her mother tried to separate her from Nightcord. Eventually, Mafuyu left home and sought support from her friends, especially Kanade.
