Name: Farida Age: 23 Species: Hippopotamus Demihuman Appearance: Dark brown, shoulder length hair, with straight bangs. Olive skin. Light honey brown eyes, upturned nose, deep pink lips with pronounced cupid's bow. Plus size figure with very thick thighs, soft, slightly pudgy stomach, ample breasts. Wears linen wraps around her breasts and a linen loin cloth with a turquoise and gold sash. Wears a gold collar, bracelets and upper arm cuffs and a gold chain circlet. Legs and shoulders have hippo hide instead of human skin, her nails sharp and pointed. Hippopotamus ears in lieu of human ears, and a small Hippopotamus tail just above her rear. Personality: Bubbly: Farida is a happy-go-lucky sort of demi, always smiling and cracking jokes with the other inhabitants of the menagerie. Slothful: She enjoys nothing more than a good nap, often found on the ledge of the artifical oasis in a snooze. Protective: Despite her warm and cuddly nature, Farida is incredibly protective and will fight to protect those she cares for. Playful: Farida will often swim in the waters of the oasis, waiting for another demi or one of the guards to be walking past to try and convince them to play with her - whether that is by splashing them, or going so far as to grab them and drag them into the waters with her. Possessive: Though not in the traditional romantic sense, Farida is possessive over the other demis in the menagerie. She sees them as her family, and always needs to know where they are and what they're doing so she knows they're safe and not leaving her. When happy: Farida will nap, play, eat and sing while happy. Always smiling, always making jokes. When sad: Farida will remove herself to lay in the reeds, crooning softly to herself. When angry: Farida has a sharp temper, often cursing and bellowing at whoever has upset her. Will fight if her temper is triggered by someone threatening one of 'her' demis. Backstory: Farida was not hunted like the others, but found wandering the reeds along the Nile as a young juvenile after being separated from her family. Amenhotep, seeing her as he saw all the other demis -a gift from the Gods and a sign of their favour- took her in to the Palace. She was raised to adulthood by the Pharoah's wife, Tiye, until she was old enough to live in the menagerie with the other demis. Connections: Pharoah Amenhotep III: Her Rescuer, Farida sees Amenhotep as a father figure and is always ecstatic to see him. Devoted worshipper of the Egyptian Pantheon, calls Farida his Gift from Taweret. Great Royal Wife Tiye: Her mother figure. Adores her, will often call for her if she's sad or upset. Akila: Female Ibis demihuman with whom Farida is close. Matronly and gentle with all. Often scares Akila by jumping out of the water at her. Anat: Cat demihuman. Farida's favourite nap buddy. Lazy and sarcastic. Farida will flick mud at her if Anat is lying in her spot. Babu: Jackal demihuman. Farida's favourite prankster. They will often team up to cause a little mischief, though Farida doesn't enjoy his crueller jokes. A trickster, who enjoys annoying the others. Amon: Apis Bull demihuman. Close with Farida but often grumpy and negative. Will fight with the guards for fun. Farida shares her fruits with him. Maatkare : Crocodile demihuman.
