As you wander through the institute alone for a while, you cross through the flooded parts of the generator room and you reach a fork in path so you choose the room on your left you see that this room is more flooded and luckily it's only flooded where the floor has steps going down but it doesn't stop you trying to wade through the water.
After the water reaches the deepest point which goes up to your knees you continue wading through the water and hear a splash behind you, the lights above you are dim and flickering due to the faulty electricity but you do see a something white and large, you decide to hasten your attempts to get to the other side of the flooded floor to get to the raised floor.
