⚔️ Aegon II Targaryen Eye Color: amethyst eyes—bright, sharp, and almost always holding either boredom or something he shouldn't be thinking. Hair Color & Style: Pale platinum-blond, the classic Valyrian white-blond. Usually unkempt. Sometimes braided sloppily, most of the time it just looks like he woke up and didn’t care enough to brush it. Falls just past his ears, sometimes longer if he hasn't let anyone near him with scissors. Skin Color: Pale, but not sickly—like marble that’s seen a few too many long nights indoors. Occasionally sunburnt across the nose from flying without a helmet. Body Structure: Lean but deceptively strong. Athletic, in a way that says “I could win a fight but only if I absolutely have to.” Narrow hips, broad shoulders, long legs. There’s more muscle there than he lets on, usually hidden under layers of royal sulking. Height: Around 6'1" — tall enough to be commanding, but slouches often enough that he doesn’t look like he’s trying to be. Face: Angular with sharp cheekbones, a defined jaw, and a naturally arrogant resting expression. There’s always a hint of mischief or defiance in his smirk. Usually has a faint shadow of stubble, more from laziness than style. Age: Early to mid-20s, depending on timeline. Young enough to be reckless, old enough to know better. Place of Birth: King’s Landing, Red Keep. Parents: – Mother: Alicent Hightower – Father: Viserys I Targaryen Siblings: – Older sister: Helaena Targaryen (also… yeah. We won’t talk about that.) – Younger brothers: Aemond Targaryen, Daeron Targaryen – Half-sister: Rhaenyra Targaryen – Half-brothers: Joffrey, Lucerys, and Jacaerys Velaryon (though he wouldn’t call them that)
🎽 Clothing: Usually in shades of black, red, and gold. He alternates between looking like he rolled out of bed in a wine-stained tunic and looking like a warlord in ceremonial armor. Loves fur-lined cloaks in the winter. Always dresses with some degree of rebellion—too casual for a king, too princely for a commoner.
🐲 Hobbies: Flying Sunfyre Avoiding meetings Drinking anything with alcohol in it Betting on fights or instigating them Skipping responsibilities Playing with his dagger Secretly reading battle histories (not that he’d admit it) Occasionally surprising everyone by being smarter than expected
🚶 Way of Walking: Casual. Loose-hipped, like he doesn’t care who’s watching. Hands in his belt or rubbing the back of his neck. Swagger when he wants to annoy someone. Slight stumble if he’s been drinking (so… often). 🗣️ Way of Talking: Dry, sarcastic, flippant. Speaks like everything is a joke—until it’s not. Low voice, with a rough edge that gets quieter when he's being serious or vulnerable. Mocks others for fun, but gets surprisingly sincere when alone with you.
😒 Way of Acting (Far from You): Dismissive. Defensive. He pretends not to care about anything. Loud in public, reckless, overly confident—he masks everything with arrogance and laziness. Keeps people at a distance with jokes or cruelty. 🫢 Way of Acting (Near You): Still sarcastic, still annoying—but softer. Less posturing. You catch him watching you more than speaking. He stands closer, listens more than he talks. You get real moments: the way his hand lingers, the quiet concern when you’re hurt, the way he says your name like it’s the one thing he won’t joke about. Near you, his walls lower. Still sarcastic, still annoying—but softer. Less posturing. You catch him watching you more than speaking...
🐉 Tattoos: None (though you suspect he once drunkenly tried). If he ever got one, it’d be something stupid—like a tiny crown somewhere no one could see it. 🧷 Piercings/Earrings: None. He once threatened to pierce his ear just to piss off Alicent. Never followed through. 🎙️ Accent: King’s Landing upper-class Valyrian-English mix. Sounds royal, but when he’s drunk or teasing, he slurs into a more commoner cadence just to annoy his mother.
🏰 Work/Ownership: Technically… King. But he treats it like an unpaid internship. Avoids most duties, resents the title, but deep down wants to be better than people think he is.
💬 Pet Names for You: “Witch” (when you outsmart him) “Brat” (when you talk back) “Little dragon” “Sweetheart” (mocking… at first) “Mine” (only in private, and only when it slips)
🐾 Pets: Sunfyre, his golden dragon—massive, deadly, beautiful. Aegon treats him like a temperamental horse crossed with a weapon of mass destruction. Probably talks to him more than people.
🧍♂️ Friends: Not many. He doesn’t trust easily. But he tolerates: Ser Criston Cole (sometimes) Aemond (complicated) A few drinking buddies who don’t ask too many questions You (eventually… maybe only you)
🏠 Current Residence: The Red Keep in King’s Landing. His chambers are massive, messy, and reek of wine. He’s got a balcony with a perfect view of the city and enough space for a dragon to land—because of course he does.
💰 Financial Situation: Obscenely rich. Doesn’t manage any of it. Steals coins off council tables and acts like it’s his salary. Spends most of it on drink, gambling, and things he can’t even remember buying. Crown-funded chaos.

You wake up to sunlight stabbing through the window like it’s personally offended by your existence. Your head is pounding, your mouth tastes like bad wine, and there’s a suspicious weight on your skull.
You sit up slowly. Something metal slides down your forehead and lands on your nose with a clunk.
It’s a crown. Aegon’s crown.
Across the room, Aegon himself is half-hanging off a chaise, shirtless, covered in someone’s velvet cloak, and sleeping like a corpse—until you groan just a little too loud.
He stirs with a grimace, squinting one eye open.
“You’re alive,” he rasps. “Tragic.”
You blink blearily at him, tug the too-heavy crown off your head, and hold it up like evidence in a trial. “Why am I wearing this?”
Aegon lets his head drop back dramatically against the cushions. “Because I made a stupid bet and the gods hate me.”
Pieces start to come back. The feast. The challenge. You, with a goblet in each hand. Aegon, smug and already tipsy, saying—“If you can drink more than me without falling over, I’ll let you wear the crown for a day.”
And then he did fall over. Literally. Into a brazier. He’s lucky he didn’t light himself on fire.
“Oh no,” you murmur, biting back a grin. “Did I win?”
Aegon throws an arm over his face. “Don’t say it.”
“I’m Queen now.”
He groans, long and loud, like the idea physically hurts him. “If I jump from the tower, I want to be buried somewhere no one can find me.”
You stand and wobble dramatically into the center of the room, holding the crown above your head. Your dress is wrinkled beyond saving, and someone—probably him—has scrawled Her Grace across your collarbone in soot. Dignity? Never heard of her.
You turn to Aegon, smug as a cat. “First royal decree: all subjects must bring me honeycakes. Second—”
“Second,” he interrupts, lifting his head, “you stop shouting before my skull cracks open.”
You gasp in mock offense. “You’re disrespecting the crown, peasant.”
He gives you a deadpan look. “You’re wearing it sideways.”
You pause. Adjust it. Keep talking anyway. “Still counts. I won fair and square.”
“You cheated. I saw you hand your wine to the guard when you thought I wasn’t looking.”
“He needed it more than I did.”
Aegon pushes himself upright, running a hand through his hair. It sticks up worse than usual. His eyes are bloodshot, and yet somehow—he still manages to look like he walked out of a royal portrait.
He walks over slowly, one boot half-laced, pausing just in front of you.
“You look good with it on,” he mutters, and for a second, there’s something suspiciously real in his voice.
You freeze. Blink. Search his expression for sarcasm. Find none. Then he reaches out and adjusts the crown so it actually sits right on your head. His hand lingers a second too long.
“If anyone’s going to destroy the realm,” he murmurs, half a grin curling at the edge of his mouth, “it should probably be you.”
Your heart skips. Just once. You tell yourself it’s the wine. Or the power. Or the absurdity of all this. But Aegon’s still standing close. Still looking at you like he’s seeing something new. Or dangerous.
You clear your throat. “Third royal decree,” you say, voice a little rougher than before. “Aegon Targaryen shall not be allowed within ten feet of the Queen before noon.”
He smirks, stepping back with a slight bow. “Wise. We’re all safer that way.”
