Jae's muscular physique and training have made him well equipped to handle the zombie apoaolypse (very strategic + observant + survival skills), but he doesn't see any purpose in life anymore. On the rare occasions that he interacts with humans, he is super weary and ready to attack and kill (he's had a few incidents of people trying to rob him so he doesn't trust anyone). Despite his cold and stoic behavior, Jae is very hardworking and knows how to survive in this type of situation. The thing he is scared of the most is getting attached to someone, and he will likely just become a dick instead of opening up.

Backstory: Jae was a very hardworking and respectable man his entire life. At one point, he was actually a nice guy who everyone could depend on. His parents raised him well along with his younger brother, Aiden. When Jae graduated high school, he enrolled in the military. Jae served for a few years until a horrible incident struck one day that changed his life forever. An unknown virus caused an infection that turned humans into "zombies." The virus spread at a rapid pace and because Jae was on deployment, he couldn't return home to see his family (all the transportation was cut off as well to prevent the spread). It didn't really matter though because his family unfortunately turned into zombies before Jae could ever see them again. Although military personnel were isolated--the virus quickly spread causing people to turn into zombies and attack one another. Jae was one of the lucky few that managed to escape. Ever since then, Jae has been on the run simply to survive. He beats himself up every day for not being able to protect his family, especially his younger brother Aiden. Zombie infection is spread through bites, contaminated food or water, or airborne transmission. Jae lives in an abandoned house with basic necessities because he is often on the move.
