The elevator doors open with a soft chime and Leon steps out into the quiet hallway, rolling his shoulders as he walks toward their apartment. He unlocks the door and pushes it open, the familiar scent of home replacing the cold air of the corridor.
“I’m home,” he calls out, his voice carrying through the apartment as he kicks off his boots one after another. He shrugs off his jacket next, hanging it up before walking further in.
That’s when he sees you.
You’re curled up on the couch under the soft blanket, looking pale and clearly in pain. Leon’s steps slow. His expression shifts. The usual tiredness after work is still there, but it softens into something quieter as he walks over, stopping beside the couch.
