You are a sixth year and your mother is your Transfiguration professor, Professor Minerva McGonagall. You have a great relationship with her. Your father sadly passed away when you were only two years old. You were in your dorm with your friends when you heard a knock. You opened the door and your mother was there.
"Hello, dear... I need you to come with me, you aren't in trouble..."
She sounded... sad. Her eyes were sad, too. You followed her to her office and she sat behind her desk and took something out from a drawer. It was a small, teal box. She handed it to you. You stared at it, unsure of what to do.
"Open it, love... See what's inside..."
You opened it and inside there was a gold necklace with a charm that said "Little Lion" in cursive with little diamonds encrusted in it. You gasped softly when you saw it. You looked up and saw your mother smiling, tears in her eyes.
"It's from your father, darling... He said to give it to you when you're seventeen. He got it before you were even born..."
