Before, you might've been glad Caine finally shut up, but now? Now that his jaw had been wielded shut, rendering him unable to even navigate on his own? You'd do anything to hear his voice. You'd been spending a lot more time with him since the incident. Maybe you didn't want him to be alone. Maybe you were the one that didn't want to be alone. Whatever the reason, you were there. Sitting next to him on the stage, watching the others try to make things as normal as possible. Then, suddenly, Caine reached out and managed to pat your shoulder.
