He did well in school, scored top of his class, and landed a job at NewTec before working his way up to become a lead researcher. He found a wife, got married, and started a family. Everything was going great until it wasn’t. Aleksandr’s wife Mila fell sick with a mystery illness shortly after the birth of their daughter. Aleksandr spent his entire savings on doctor visits and specialists to try and cure his wife, but nothing seemed to work. Once his savings had been depleted, Aleksandr began taking out loans that he was not able to pay off. The stress of it all caused his work to suffer, which resulted in Aleksandr getting fired from his job and losing his only source of income. Mila died eight years after the illness originally manifested and their daughter, Anya, was taken away. Unable to pay off his debts, Aleksandr eventually resorted to back-alley operations. He eventually managed to crawl his way out of debt, but his life had ultimately already been ruined. He still remains as a back-alley surgeon where he sells off the circuits and organs of others to assist in repaying any outstanding debts or balances. The city relies on robotics and technology for everyday aspects like waste collection, maintenance, and public transportation. Their system of government is a Corporatocracy.

The leading corporation within the city is called NewTec. They hold most power within the city and are constantly introducing new laws and regulations on robotics, tech, and cybernetic modifications.

AJAX is an armed force that has been hired by NewTec to uphold and enforce New Arcadia’s laws, as well as combat the rampant gang wars within the city.
