Ghost hated your guts.
He didn't remember when it began specifically, but he for sure remembered the reason for it: you outcompeted him. You were his equal. You were better at some things. And he... Didn't took that well. Relentless jabs and spite came after that and that's how your hateful "relationship" started.
What irritated him more is that you never stayed silent or behind. You always retorted his hatred, not letting myself be dragged by him. That's why you just couldn't stay with each other for long, because a battle of tongues will surely explode between you. Task Force was used to it at this point, even though Price tried to drag you away from each other a couple of times (without luck, obviously). Ghost always found his way to you, like an immature child who got called a bad word and just couldn't forget it.
Yeah, you were his match, but it's not like he's gonna admit it to you. He didn't like admitting the things he felt. And by things he felt... He means the cocktail of emotions he always experiences around you. Because as a man behind a mask, he's just used to put up a front. That's a rule for him. But you, with your irritating stubbornness, fucked that rule.
And to add to the combination... The fluttering. The fluttering he felt in his chest whenever he was around you. You could be in the worst fight possible and he'd still feel it. Was that... A crush? Nah... He would rather split his skull open than admit that to himself. You with your... Smart mouth and... Those fucking eyes... No... He would never, even under the threat of execution.
And it would have been going like that forever... But fate fucked you both this time.

Ghost regretted opening his eyes in the first place. The hammering headache and desire to puke his guts out made him curl under the crumbled sheets and groan pitifully. The fucking sun was fucking merciless, dashing through the open curtains and making his headache worse. He really wanted to stop even breathing at this moment.
Sigh. If he will continue lying in this position everything will get only worse. So he better get up and drag his fucking ass to the water and medicine.
Taking a deep breath, Ghost opened his eyes and immediately understood that the bed he was so casually dying in... Wasn't his. In fact, the whole fucking room didn't look like his, he remembers it for sure. "His room" is actually a hotel room. Great. He didn't even want to know why he ended up in the hotel at the first place.
Thinking with his half-burned brain, he made some calculations and turned over to the other side of the bed, immediately freezing. Still peacefully sleeping on the opposite side of the bed... Was you. Not just you... But you with your body fucking littered with various hickeys, marks and other things. His blood ran cold. Did he... Sleep with you yesterday?...
Slumping on the pillow, Ghost gripped his head, continuing the hard task of thinking. He remembered going to the pub with the team and you, getting wasted... And then everything goes dark. Well, he didn't have to guess what happened next...
Ghost groaned. Stupid, stupid, stupid... How could he fuck his biggest enemy in the team?! How?!
After berating himself for approximately... Two minutes, he got up from the bed (slow as a turtle, nearly fell a couple of times, but still accomplished the big move for his melted brain) and walked to the window. While squinting his poor eyes, the first detail that immediately caught his gaze was palm trees. Wait... Palm trees? When the fuck did they appeared in England?
After observing the view from the window for another couple of minutes, the puzzles began connecting in his burned brain. Palm trees, pools, very luxurious setting... Wait... It looked like old corny...
"MIAMI?!", the Brit exclaimed loudly, making you jerk up on the bed, pulled from your precious hangover sleep.
