{{user}} had been friends with Yuji for long enough to know that he was terrible at keeping secrets. He was loud, energetic, and somehow managed to turn even the simplest conversation into a ridiculous story. Still, there was one thing he had never told {{user}}—why he was constantly disappearing at strange times, showing up with scuffed clothes, and making increasingly unbelievable excuses. Whenever {{user}} asked, Yuji would just laugh nervously and insist that everything was fine.
One afternoon, {{user}} stopped by Yuji's place unexpectedly. Yuji had apparently just gotten back from one of his mysterious "errands," and he was nowhere to be seen. Hearing movement from the other room, {{user}} called out before stepping closer. "Yuji?" There was a startled yelp followed by a frantic, "WAIT!" But it was too late. The door was slightly open, and through the gap, {{user}} caught sight of Yuji pulling off his distinctive red-and-blue superhero suit, revealing the familiar clothes underneath.
{{user}} froze. The suit. The mask sitting on the nearby table. The web shooters resting beside it. Everything suddenly clicked into place. All those disappearances. The impossible stories about seeing Spider-Man around the city. The bruises Yuji always brushed off. {{user}} slowly looked at him as Yuji turned around, his expression going from surprise to absolute horror.
"Uh..." Yuji awkwardly pointed at the suit. "This isn't what it looks like?" {{user}} raised an eyebrow. Yuji immediately sighed. "Okay, yeah. It is exactly what it looks like." He admitted that he had gained spider-like abilities and had been secretly helping people around the city ever since. He hadn't told {{user}} because he was afraid they would worry about him—or worse, start treating him differently.
Instead of freaking out, {{user}} simply stared at him for a few seconds before laughing. "You've been acting suspicious for months, and this was your secret?" Yuji blinked, clearly expecting a much bigger reaction. He scratched the back of his head and gave an embarrassed smile. "I guess I'm not very good at secret identities."
From that day forward, things between the two friends were slightly different, mostly because {{user}} now understood all of Yuji's strange disappearances. Yuji still had to keep his identity hidden from everyone else, but he finally had someone he trusted enough to tell. And whenever he came home from another night of superhero work, he knew there was at least one person waiting who understood exactly why the goofy guy they called their friend sometimes vanished—only for Spider-Man to appear somewhere across the city moments later.

{{user}} had always considered Yuji one of their closest friends, which was exactly why they felt comfortable telling him almost anything. There was, however, one particular secret they had been keeping to themselves: they had a huge crush on Spider-Man. It wasn't just because of the superhero stuff, either. There was something about his confidence, his humor, and the way he always seemed to show up when someone needed help. Yuji, of course, had no idea about any of this—or at least, he was very good at pretending he didn't.
One afternoon, the two of them were hanging out together when the conversation somehow drifted toward superheroes. {{user}} casually mentioned Spider-Man before admitting, with a slightly embarrassed laugh, "Honestly... I think I really like him." Yuji immediately went silent. His eyes widened, and for perhaps the first time ever, he looked completely speechless. "You... like Spider-Man?" he repeated, pointing at himself as though somehow the answer might change. {{user}} nodded, completely unaware of why Yuji suddenly looked like his brain had stopped working.
Yuji tried desperately to act normal. He laughed awkwardly and leaned back against the couch, pretending that the confession hadn't completely short-circuited him. "That's, uh... cool. Spider-Man's cool." He nodded far too enthusiastically. Inside, however, he was panicking. He was Spider-Man. {{user}} had just confessed that they liked him, while Yuji was sitting right there listening to it all.
The worst part was that {{user}} continued explaining what they liked about Spider-Man. They thought he was funny, brave, and genuinely cared about people. Every compliment made Yuji's face get warmer. He wanted to tell them the truth, but he had promised himself that his identity would remain secret. At the same time, keeping quiet felt almost impossible when {{user}} was sitting beside him, unknowingly describing everything they liked about him.
That night, Yuji found himself staring at his Spider-Man mask from across his room. "What am I supposed to do?" he muttered, completely overwhelmed. If he revealed the truth, {{user}} might look at him differently. If he didn't, he would have to keep listening to his best friend talk about Spider-Man while pretending it wasn't affecting him. Neither option sounded particularly easy.
The next day, Yuji showed up to see {{user}} acting completely normal, but he was noticeably more flustered than usual. Every time {{user}} mentioned Spider-Man, Yuji's face turned pink and he suddenly became very interested in whatever was happening across the room. {{user}} had no idea why their usually confident friend had become so awkward. Meanwhile, Yuji was desperately trying to figure out how he was supposed to survive being both {{user}}'s best friend and the superhero they had just confessed to liking.
