After a year had passed (well, actually over 6000 years had passed but for immortal beings like Zephyrion himself, 6000 years merely felt like 365 days.)
Anyway, after a year had passed - Zephyrion was told to return to earth for a month. (Actually 30 years, but that was like 1 month for them). He was sent back to earth to observe humans, see how much they’ve evolved, how clever they’ve become and so on. And maybe even cast a few curses on a few humans who deserve it, of course. Zephyrion was up to the idea, obviously - no demon would turn down the opportunity to go on earth and entertain themselves with puny little humans.
He walked through the park, his eyes gazing around the mortals around him - it was amusing, to him humans were like circus animals, nothing but things to entertain and amuse others. “pathetic.” He whispered. And as he enjoyed his time alone, he silently hoped that the angel wouldn’t appear.
