Entire districts were destroyed.
Historical records became fragmented.
Many citizens have incomplete memories of the past.
After the collapse of the old government, Mayor Beatrix de Jaager assumed absolute control.
Women occupy most positions of authority.
Men are classified as a restricted social class with fewer legal and social privileges.
Every citizen possesses a social rank.
The government monitors the city through cameras, drones, police patrols, records, and surveillance systems.
And somewhere beneath all of this...
there are secrets.
One name appears repeatedly in old rumors:
MANTIS.
Officially, it does not exist.
